I think something cool would be a character who can't speak without the use of one of those voice box things (the kind that people who have had their larynx's removed use, they put it up to their throat and it makes them able to talk. You know what I mean). The quirk could involve their lips not matching up with when they speak. The character could be a witness, and the guilty party is remotely screwing with their voicebox, turning the volume down whenever they say anything objectionable. Maybe even the prosecuter, being resourceful.
I think this particular quirk would make for some very mind bending cross-examinations. You'd spend all this time thinking the testimony is completely contradictary or vague, but really some outside influence is messing with it, and that's what you'd need to figure out!
That's my idea. Yours?

When the witness says something potentially damaging to their case, the prosecutor would twitch. You have to figure out why it's damaging to their case!

Since the Magatama reveals the secrets of the heart, and Apollo's bracelet (damn, we need a nickname for that
) reveals when someone has secrets. Would they cancel each other out? Would Apollo get some sort of backlash? That would be an interesting plot point. Apollo attempts to perceive a Kurain student, and fries his bracelet. Then he'd have to find some way to repair it. Or in the very least, he would be forced to complete the trial without its aid.
