I would love to be of help, as I am somewhat fluent in Japanese (with regards to reading; I have trouble understanding casually spoken Japanese as of yet.) I am trying to achieve total fluency through other means of study (I own a crapload of kanji dictionaries, e -> j and j -> e, phrasebooks, etc., and even My Japanese Coach for the DS is good for reference.) I'm not fluent in reading some kanji, however, and I use a kanji dictionary for reference.
I'd like to see about helping, but I dunno how much time I have. Until I get into college and out on my own in a couple years I don't really have free reign regarding time.
