TWO DOLLARS-TWO FIFTY. Gosh, HEB, lower your prices. But I've noticed that HCF bread is a lot cheaper than the brand I get...

A 591-ml bottle of Coke costs the same amount as a 2-l bottle of Coke.

That's why I always buy a 2-l each week for my weekly hydration.

Beat that.

i just asked my maid and i was surprised to find that a loaf of bread costs less than a US dollar...it costs Rp. 7000 in my currency.

$1 = Rp. 10.000. hey, you can buy a manga with that!

depends on the bread and the place too, though. imported foods usually costs higher and things sold at places such as harvey nichols costs ridiculously expensive.

I don't buy bread I have my own baker who bakes me some ^^;

Also I remember when I stayed in Paris, I forgot to bring my digital camera so whilst visiting Notre Dame they had a shop and so I bought a disposable camera for 12 euros and when I got back to the hotel they had the exact same one in a vending machine for 5 euros ;_; I guess it depends where you buy it ^^

I was pointing out that you should feel lucky to live in a country where you don't face those problems, because in the grand scheme of things, paying three dollars for a loaf of bread isn't quite as bad as the atrocities the people of zimbabwe have to suffer daily. So no, I won't go away.

Expensive bread I've seen is around 1.20 (pounds) You can find bread for under a pound too. I haven't noticed bread prices increasing, which is lucky. Saying that I don't remember anything much increasing in price where I shop the most, apart from milk, but that happened a few months ago. Only by around 5p too.

Goes from 114.8 cents (when all is fine) to 20 dollars (for one loaf, during war)

Then I went to Canada and it costs 1.29$ to 3.49$. I just make bread- cheaper and better. We have to eat it in 8 hours to 3 days, or it's as hard as rock.
