Yeah, I'm definitely concerned about it. I haven't been following the board as much recently, so CoC isn't on my mind a whole lot. But still, it's looking more and more like we won't get it until 2017.

Well no shit he has his own life. But having a 3 month disappearance just when you're finishing you're highly requested fan game is very...peculiar, to say the least. Normally, you'd expect him to at least come back and say why he's been gone for so long. And even weirder is the fact that his profile doesn't say when he last visited

So it's Episode 1.5 in a sense xD also, AAI2's Episode 1 was, I dare say, THE longest first Episode in AA history. I personally don't have a problem with first cases being long and different.

I don't remember how long Target took to complete, but from my limited memory I felt like The Foreign Turnabout took longer. And DGS is the longest by far (What's the play-time, 2 hours? 3?)

I definitely spent over two hours on Foreign Turnabout. Like you said, the newer first cases are getting longer and longer. To me, that's a good thing.
Also, my personal (possibly biased) thoughts on the matter are that this is a fangame... The only people playing it are going to be those who are already super passionate about Ace Attorney and most likely have already played all of the canon games. The players don't NEED a tutorial case to hold their hands through the early sections. Anything resembling one is just a formality. I'm glad that Cardiovore made all of his cases into multi-hour long epic adventures.
