“...Yes. It seems to be much different now.” Evelyn looked up. “Without her, I feel as though we are united now. I think I can trust you all...even Rose... and Nicos. I know none of you would kill so easily. No motive that evil machination can give will split us apart so easily, I can believe that much.”

She turned her head back to the letter. “The least we can do now is honour Mr. Anderson’s wishes. ‘The ways different objects can be made to look the same’... hmph.” She looked at the broken shards of her monocle. “A little ironic that he would write this without even knowing my condition... He didn’t even request anything out of Nina, either. Perhaps he had a feeling the whole time, the poor man.”

“Still, I suppose there’s only one way to fulfil his final request. I need to perhaps try... living on without my monocle a little longer.” She looked surprisingly serious about this. “From birth, almost, I was forced to see every human as the same figure...same eyes, same nose same face. I have had more experience in seeing different people as the same. I think it’s only fitting that I pursue this without any prescriptions...”

She went over to Nicos, giving him the broken shards of her monocle. “As much as this is a surprise to me, I am entrusting you with this for now. Please take care of them... And for god’s sake, please be more careful where you swing that sword of yours next time”, she lightly reprimanded, like a mother scolding her clumsy son.

It was very early morning the next day. Kyoya had made sure the cafeteria was empty by scouting it with his race car beforehand, and quickly went inside once he felt the coast was clear. He hadn't bothered to change into his clothes and was just wearing a pair of boxers as he went to grab a box of cereal from the cabinet.

Evelyn drowsily went out of her room, her monocle now no longer with her. She followed into the kitchen right after Kyoya entered, not realising he was there. She went over to the opposite side of the kitchen to go grab some eggs for breakfast, not sensing his presence yet. “Dearie me, I’m starving...”

Kyoya's eyes widened as he heard Evelyn behind him. Without thinking the small and frail boy decided to rush out of the cafeteria, spilling the cereal on the floor behind him.

He passed some people after exiting the cafeteria but didn't stop to talk to them, hoping they didn't notice him too closely before returning to his room.

Annabella entered the cafeteria, carrying her dolls to a table. She noticed Kyoya, but didn't recognize him, merely wrinkling her nose at his lack of clothing and ignored his sudden dash out of the kitchen as she looked around for something to eat.

"Evelyn, do you know when Kyoya will get here?" She asked. "My dolls would like some of his toast this morning."

Althea burst into the cafeteria, very unnecessarily slamming the door against the wall.
"Was that Mr. Okamura?!" she shrieked. "Ah, ah, I knew I should have woken up sooner... I need to apologize..."
With that, she made her way to a toaster and started toasting toast. Considering she picked up two entire bags of bread, it's clear she's planning on toasting a lot of toast.
