Hmm, never heard of it! I like Photoshop because of the layers, and how easy it is to pull a picture right into ImageReady to animate it. But maybe I'll check it out.

I took one of my favorite Minuku sprites, capped it, colored it, and animated it! It's from 4-4, technically a spoiler sprite. If you can find something to use it for, go ahead!

It took 600 individual frames and about 6 hours of work to put those together.
I don't know how many more I'll do, but to get ALL of them I'll definately need help.

I've used Adobe Photoshop before, but it's heavy when I was editing huge scanned artworks.
And I used Jasc Pro, Paint.NET, OpenCanvas and some others that I've forgotten....
Anyway, if I use Adobe for spriting, I use ImageReady (well, I don't have CS2 or CS3 T_T)
Back to the sprites... I guess Daryan doesn't get much attention here, ne?

Yuuri and Kanako Katagi! I couldn't remember if I've posted Yuuri before, because I'm not happy about his hair... I should redo it. Suggestions? He's made out of Apollo and Daryan, which is probably obvious. Kanako took a little longer - she's got Lana, Lamiroir, and some Trucy in her.
I have to redo Tsudzuo though, he didn't come out ugly enough the first time.

I tried receding his hairline, because I thought that was maybe what was off:
I don't know what you think? (I also don't know what you were going for, so forgive me if I modified a crucial point of the character) This was kind of a quick 10-min job, too, so I didn't sufficiently adjust the shading on his head to make up for moving the hair.
If you're still dissatisfied, I might guess that the problem is his part. It's adjusted for him looking to the side and down, not the side and up, which means it seems to kind of drift as it goes farther back. So it kind of ends up looking a center part at the back of his head and a side part at the front.
Anyways, those are just suggestions, as I don't know exactly what you're looking for. :P You're a really good spriter! I love Kanako! She actually looks like some people I know

I think Yuuri's hair looks fine. I'd just soften up the lines because a lot of them look a bit jagged and unnatural, and shade the right side so it matches the shading on his face.
But something really I noticed is you kept the same shading on the forehead that was used for Daryan. As we know, Daryan's hair protrudes quite a bit, so his forehead gets shaded from it, but I see no reason for Yuuri to have the same shading. I would definitely edit so only parts of his actual hair cast a shadow upon his forehead.
I made an edit of your sprite to show you what I mean, but I won't post it here because I wouldn't want to steal your thunder. n_n if you'd like to see it, feel free to message me.
