I have no idea how to make it, even.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's something like this:

Image

I was considering all sorts of things, but I'm still uncertain. *shrug*

Any kind of help would be appreciated. Thanks!

COSPLAY OVER Edit: Well, the cosplay was AWESOME, and so was my sign!

Here's a friend as Hobohodo posing with it:

I can't see the image D:

I've been meaning to make signs, too!

I was thinking something like a wearable sandwich board thing. I was thinking I'd find some sort of plastic or EXTREMELY light wood for the sign, some sort of fabric for the straps, and then I'd enlarge the image I want on the sign with this
http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/

Then I guess I'd just glue the paper onto the sign xD

Well Objection signs are pretty easy to make. Just take the Objection sprite and take it to some form of image manipulation program (even MSPaint can do this). Enlarge it and then print it out. You can't make it too large though. If you do your printer might print it out in two separate pieces of paper.

Go to a hardware store or wood store. There you can find a piece of wood. Then buy a good giant piece of white cardboard. Paste the objection sign you printed out onto the cardboard. After that use some masking tape to take together the wood and cardboard. I suggest you take the wood and move one end near the top of the cardboard. Tape it up nice and tight and that should do it C:~

Cheap and easy way for OBJECTION sign:

1) Enlarge an OBJECTION sprite to the size you want. Any size (you can print on multiple pieces of paper and tape them together nicely to make a large sign).

2) Print it out and cut all the pieces to fit together. Tape them together as well.

3) Tape your OBJECTION down to a piece of cardboard.

4) Cutout the design on the cardboard. You can use more than one layer of cardboard if you want to make it stronger. My sign is double sided so the two sides support eachother well.

5) Use tape/glue to secure edges down on the cardboard.

5) Buy a wooden pole at a hardware store, preferably a rectangular one.

6) Attach sign to pole. I used this really strong double sided tape with mine. Wood glue / Super glue with some sort of lesser tape should work too.

Enjoy your new OBJECTION sign. Heres what mine looks like (on the right; the one on the left was made at a professional sign company and cost about $70):

Here's a PNG of the OBJECTION sprite that you can resize to any size and still have smooth lines.

When my friends and I made our signs, we just drew them onto this thick poster board. It requires someone with a steady hand and someone who is fairly artistic, so they can accurately write the words.

I have an image with them...

Signs

It's probably a better idea to print them out, though. We used like 5 different red markers to colour them XD

Just out of curiousity does anyone happen to have a vector of 異議あり! (or Igiari! for those whose computers can't read Japanese). Thank you in advance if anyone does. ^^

Make sure you set the resolution for the image at least 2880dpi before printing it out. :hobohodo:

@ Jess: I was thinking the same thing, but then the sign ended up being big, so I made it a simple hold-the-stick sign. Balsa Wood is ultralight and pretty darn sturdy if it's thick enough. By sign in total ended up being lighter than my briefcase. XDD

I made mine out of foam bored.

free hand drew "Objection" has best as I could from the game sprite.

then used spray red paint on it. (this can pull up the paper though prolly should have used a brush paint of some kind.

cutout the white back ground :objection: like this as close as possible.

then glued them together. this gave it a kind of unique and 3D look comparied to the others.

but it's also kind of fragile in fact I got my "O" broke when the "objection was bumped into. :toaster:

here a pic: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/1614579/

Dont look at the rest of my costume tho I need to fix the major parts :P
