Yeah, sometimes I can get some pretty nifty things done freehand. I surprise myself quite a bit.

Rick isn't going to disappear, I promise. He's just not getting his own special comic.

As for updates, well I'm starting to burn myself out. I've found myself wanting to rush to the end of the plot so that I can move on to other things. So if you don't get an update for a little while that's why. I still love making this comic and I don't plan to stop. I just need to rest every once in a while and work on other things.

I do have other PW related projects. In my sig you'll find links to things like sprite edits, funny comics, fanfiction, and the PW musical that I will be cleaning and editing once the recording gets started.

I'm also writing a new PW AU idea of mine. It's turning out pretty good so far, and since Jenna is helping me it should be an excellent piece of work.

I would never be able to do something like this, so I'm impressed! Even though I get above average grades, I'm SUCH a procrastinator. ^___^''

I'm excited to see how rick fits in to The Marilyn Grant story!

What I had planned next was going to be a flashback sequence, but the more I put it together the more I hate how it's turning out. It's going to take much too long to tell and detracts from the current storyline in places.

I'm only posting this minor complaint to let you guys know that I am still working on the comic, I'm just not getting any results that I'm happy with.

Yeah, I already have an idea of how Rick shows up and some minor ideas on what the case is going to be about. One of these days I'll make a MG comic that has an actual trial in it...

Being that I have no life and as of recent weeks have become nearly obsessed with this comic, I decided to go through it and become the spelling police. So far I've gotten the first case done. Expect more.

Case of Crimson:
Page 2: Not a spelling error, but if my eyes aren’t failing me, the typed text seems to get…well…bolder about halfway through. The first half of the text is also the same type of text (Times New Roman, I believe) as Page 1, but the rest of the comic is in the new font.
Page 4, Panel 11: “Philosphy” should be “philosophy”.
Page 5, Panel 3: “Withinmy” needs a space.
Page 5, Panel 4: “Embrassed” should be “embraced”.
Page 6, Panel 1: “Saticfactory” should be “satisfactory”.
Page 6, Panel 2: Someone’s going hiking. “Trail”->“Trial”.
Page 6, Panel 12: “Alltogether” ->“altogether” or “all together”. We go together, like--*shot*
Page 8, Panel 4: Gumshoe likes speaking in lowercase. “Wait” needs to be capitalized.
Page 9, Panel 1: Brian says that Gumshoe will be sore. I don’t know if you meant “sorry” or not, but I figured I’d put it anyway.
Page 9, Panel 18: “Miss” should be capitalized.
Page 11, Panel 5: I don’t know if the period after “actually” is supposed to be a comma or not, but I figured I should make note of it anyway.
Page 12, Panel 6: “Reciept”->“receipt”.
Page 12, Panel 12: “Conact”->“contact”.
Page 14: No clue, because it’s a big blank white space. Bla. PG 14 DUN L3IK M3
Page 15, Panel 9: “Of an assitance”—“assitance”->“assistance”, but then it sounds funny, so I’m not sure if the “of” is supposed to be there (grammatically speaking).
Page 16, Panel 8: The lovely word “inSUFERABLE” should be the uglier, less funny word “inSUFFERABLE”. In Sue fur uh bull…LOL
Page 16, Panel 13: Candy likes speakin’ in lowercase quite a few times. It also seems like part of her personality, though, so I’m not sure if it was a mistake or intentional.
Page 17, Panel 12: Marilyn talks like a cave lady. “You”->“your”. Hey, that’s an idea! Cave Lady Marilyn…
Page 17, Panel 17: People in MG’s world sure do like speaking in lowercase. “italian”->“Italian”.
Page 18, Panel 6: Now it’s Ms. Scarlet’s turn to talk like a cave lady. “You”->“your”.
Page 18 on: “Your Honor” is capitalized in PW, but I guess it doesn’t matter.
Page 19, Panel 8: “Persistant”->“persistent”.
Page 22, Panel 2: “reciept”->“receipt”. I before E, EXCEPT after C. 0MG 3NGL1$# L3$$0N L0L (I sound like Sal. O_o)
Page 22, Panel 17: After Gumshoe says “Aw” there should be a comma instead of a period.
Page 23, Panel 4: The sentence is a run-on. A word, a punctuation mark, or both need to be inserted in between “facts” and “because”.
Page 24, Panel 14: “Questions”->“question”. Mari liek pluralz.
Page 26, Panel 2: “Scaming”->“scamming”.
Page 26, Panel 4: “Decective”->“detective”. Y’know, Gumshoe, it’s pretty hard to make spelling mistakes when you talk.
Page 26, Panel 9: The speech sounds like Brian’s, but it’s supposedly Ms. Grant saying it. That should be changed.
Page 27, Panel 5: It sounds like there’s a word missing, but I’m not sure what.
Page 27, Panel 9: Looks like 2 spaces before “Mr. Blankenship” instead of one. Eh, that’s pretty minor, though.

Oww... No more spell checking today... :meekins:

While I was doing this, I noticed something. Brian keeps saying he hasn't been sleeping lately. What's that about? And when are we going to find out about what his problem with his father is?
I'm still alive, don't worry!

Oh my. That is a lot of missed mistakes. Thanks for going through the trouble of typing them all out. I swear one of these days I will go and fix them...

As far as Brian's sleeping habits, there is no major plot shifting reason for it. He's just an insomniac.

And I do plan on revealing the reason for the problem with his dad in the next chapter.

UPDATE!!! OMFG!

Also, I've finally figured out how to do the back story. I'm going to write it in fiction form. This saves me on having to make a bunch of new sprites AND lets me show you guys what's going on in Ms. Grant's head without making a bunch of blue texted boxes.

Oh! I've also made a new expanded Rick sheet.

Thank you, I am sorry that I am absent-minded as well. I think I must return to my hermit life path so that I don't lose my mind.

I am almost insane because of forum addiction. Kenjimurasame did gave a good advice about this matter (suggested the forum members to go out once in a while) BUT for a workaholic who's mostly on the computer to finish documents and also doing graphical works, it's UNLIKELY to break the habit.

Even if I request Croik or any other authorised forum people to ban me (as to curb my addiction), I can always re-register into CR or join other forums so that doesn't solve my prob. Am absent-minded because all that I can remember is my work and WHAT TO SAY in a forum thread. I am going crazy.....

Also, the new dude. Taro Yamada? Isn't that a common Japanese name? Well, at least, according to Wikipedia it is... (Check the pic's caption if you can't read Japanese.)

As far as getting into MG, well I kind of doubt it. I prefer to use the sprites I've made myself if I can help it. If you wanted to make it into one of my True Blue Production skits I'd be more likely to consider it.

To be honest the 'can I be in your comic?' door isn't really one I want to open. I hate telling people no and I'd get overwhelmed if I got a lot of people asking me. I realize that wasn't what you were asking me, but it's a pretty easy transition.

Fear not though! I will be holding contests pretty soon. There are just some sprites I can't make on my own. I'm not sure how many sprite making readers I have though. Hmmm.

I'll prolly make this announcement more officially later, buuuut

I'm hoping to have a little romance contest. See, it's pretty obvious that Ms. Grant and Brian are going to hook up (well it is to me anyway) and I want the kiss scene to be something special. So the contest is sort of more to make a cut scene pic than a sprite really. Sort of like what I did for the scene where Brian jumped in front of the bullet (that was actually intended for him in the first place...whoopsie) to protect Ms. Grant.
All of my attempts at making the romance scene have failed miserably so I've been considering making a call to artists for help. The prize? You're creation makes it into the comic (full credit) and maybe I'll make a sig or something. There aren't a whole lot of cool things I can really do or give. I'm a screen writer. I write screens.

Heh... I always thought Edgy and Ms. Grant were into each other, actually. LOL yeah sure Yuki. >_> How old is Marilyn, out of random curiosity?

And I'd like to try something for the contest. But there are a bazillion questions floatin' 'round mah head. For example, where does the kiss occur? Are they on a date (and dressed semi-formal or in their regular clothes)? Who instigates the kiss (Mari or Brian)? And can we used colored scene shots from The Doctor's and Ethed's threads (provided that they allow us)?

I'll probably think of more later, too, but I need things to be VERY specific or else I don't know what I want to do with it, because I'm afraid of the result (or, in cases like these, afraid of negative feedback from the result).

I only really know the circumstances leading to it.

Spoiler: Only read if you want to be in the contest. Or if you just want to know the plot of the next fluff.
Chris and Candy decide to jump start the inevitable relationship by forcing the two into datelike situations. I don't know what those situations are, really.

I'll likely adapt the story to fit the contest winners submission.

And Ms. Grant does have a crush on Edgeworth, but like either of them are going to do anything about it.

As far as colored screenshots, well I guess you'd need to clear that with them.

Oh, OK, thanks. I just needed to know where they were, what they were wearing, etc. because there's only so much I can do in the way of editing.
Spoiler: Possible idea for my entry, so plz don't steal ppls.
And also because I think it'd be cute if Marilyn instigated the kiss and Brian kinda had a "confused/pleasantly surprised" look on his face.

Oh, yeah, I forgot. What about her age?

Oh, she's older than I thought. I figured she'd be like 23 or something. Well, then she'd have become a lawyer at 20, so...nevamind. And Brian's 21, right?

@Dahlia: Because that's what the fans request... :hotti:
