Well, at least they're not gonna re-release the 360 as a better system, then jack up the price and take away the alternative products one could buy at a much cheaper price, like a certain OTHER company...

Personally, I love my Nintendo Wii, and all my other Nintendo Products that I own. I have an XBOX 360, but it mostly collects dust now (I have that "XBOX Crystal" version? You know, the one with Crimson Skies and... *shudders* .... Fable?). My sister plays the PS2 still... and that's really all there is.
Nintendo is great at 2 things: "wow"ing their consumers, and innovation... and others, but those are the leading 2.
Of course, that's simply one opinion in the vast sea of opinions.

Well, the 40GB could be worth money if you didn't mind losing out on backwards compatability. Shopping around's pretty useful. I got a 60GB with 2 games and an extra controller for 500€ in Virgin Megastores. It's still expensive, but better than the shite deals Game were offering.

when i first heard about the wii. i was like "wtf, i don't want to play games like THAT!" i was the same way with fps. i always played on pc, and i always hated this "jump" to console shooters
the point is, nintendo had a great idea for the newcomers to gaming, but they really didn't consider the hardcore gamers. now that 360 practically holds the market on hardcore gaming, why would they screw this up and do what nintendo did, the very thing that their core fans are laughing at nintendo fans about?

It's been what Nintendo fans have been decreeing for the past few generations... the funny thing is, when a M rated game does appear on their system, they're the first point it out and recommend it wherever possible.

That was what Hardcore used to be, before Nintendo made the non-gamers the casuals, which then made the old casuals the "core-gamers" and made the old "core-gamers" the "hardcore-gamers". So, basicly, your definition is what hard-core used to be. Now its more like "Super Hardcore", or something...

Before my boyfriend, I was the only one who played Dynasty Warriors, Kessen, Samurai Warriors, and anything else KoeiWarriors related (which Koei is now RUINING! Dx) And none of them ever picked it up for fear of copying me....which sorta fits above.
I could elaborate on my thoughts of hard-core gamers, but I just woke up. ^-^

the n64 had a clip on rumble pack, but it weighed a ton and made the controller feel strangely unbalanced. we're just remeniscing abotu how companies take successful ideas from other companies, the base of this thread
