Ohoho. Well, let's see.

My stepmom and dad have seen the costume I made for young!Miles--they both liked it, thought the concept of the game was weird, and dad raised a quizzical eyebrow at the unspoken question of Miles' manliness.

My mother beta reads my stories (so long as the narumitsu isn't too blatant, since she sees Edgeworth as probably asexual), regularly holds discussions with me over the games and anything related to them, loves the drawings (has one of them posted in her cubicle actually), has played a few cases and wants to play the rest, helped me make the costume, and objects on a regular basis. :)

Exactly what my dad does.

I've tried to explain the game to him three times now, and every time he sees me playing it, he still asks what it is. :sadshoe:

My mum... I'm not even sure she knows the game exists, but I think if she gave it a chance she could really get into it.

I don't realy like to talk to my parents about PW because whenever I start talking about something allot I get the "This isn't going to be like Pokemon again?" looks. (We had a bad time with Pokemon.) I'm sure my mom would like the cases if she tried them. She's starting to try games... slowly.

Hehe yea my mom was like that too. Back when I was a little kid she had King's Quest (1-7) installed on her computer at work . I'd always play it when I visited her there, and she would play too when she had nothing to do... and she'd excitedly tell me she figured out a puzzle if we got stuck on one part.. ahh memories <3.

I tried to get my Mom to play, after she asked me what was so great about the game that I've become addicted to it.

So I restarted the game and put her in Case 1-1. She some how managed to deal with the whole murder and blood introduction, but then totally JUMPED out of her skin when Larry faded in and Mia out.

... And that was the end.

And Rizuchan, you've totally won this thread.

My mother doesn't give a shit about it really, and my dad doesn't even probably doesn't even know the game exists. I haven't tried to get them interested in video games. Mom always plays Tetris or Dr. Mario and one time I handed her Super Mario Bros. to play in my old Game Boy Color. She was terrible at it....

My mom doesn't even know I have the game.
If she did, she wouldn't care. xD

My dad saw me playing it at his house and
saw Phoenix and commented on his hair and
asked what the game was about.

Me: Lawyers.
Dad: Holy crap. An educational video game? Lemme try.
Me: -hands him DS-

It was in the middle of the 3rd case of Ace Attorney.

Dad: ...Am I stupid, or did I miss something?
Me: You have to have played the game first.
Dad: ...oh.

And they get annoyed with the Protesto shouts whenever I play Phoenix Wright. Even if I always p4wn em when it comes to FPSes

Where to start...

Well pretty much all my friends can't stand the game so hate it when ever I bring it up xD. Though for some bizzare reason as soon as soon as I mentioned Lana being attracted to Mia they were a bit more intrested...

Then there is my one friend who does play the game, wether she got it because all I went on about was the game or she wanted it herself but either way she plays it.

Then my mum gave it ago as well and absoloutley loved it xD. She competed with my friend to finish the 3rd game first xD. I'm glad she started playing it as it ment she wanted to import GS3 from Japan so I finally persuaded her to let me import stuff. xD

Then there is my role at helping the people I know who play the game... fun¬_¬

My friends all think it's "nerdy" and that I should stop playing it because I won't be able to get a girlfriend. :nick: But, I got one of them to play JFA about halfway into 2-2. But he claims he "thought it was boring" even though he specifically told me he liked it. But he also lies and brags about having disorders and doing drugs to make himself look cool, which in turn makes him look like a moron, so there's a 99.9% chance he was lying about thinking it was boring.
Although there is a big injoke from when I was playing GS4 around them. I was at the "SOKO DA!" part of Masaka's cross examination and they asked what all the noise was. I then yelled "I'm cross examining a russian waitress, thank you!"

My parents don't really care about it, they sometimes get a little annoyed whenever I get obsessive.

My parents really dont care about my obsession so they dont know anything about it which leads to some odd conversation when the game comes up.

(me doing the detective work)
Mom: You win the game yet.
Me: No mom its not exacly a game that you just win or lose its.......(realised she walked away)......*sigh*

(right after my friend gave me an Edgeworth doll for Christmas)
Me: Caroline made me an Edgeworth doll!
Mom: Whats an edgeworth? Is that like Pokemon.
Me: *sigh* No mom its from Pheonix Wright.
Mom: Is that one of your silly Japenese shows?
Me: Noooo its the game series I keep buying. You know the lawyer one?
Mom: Oh that dumb game.

(day after Christmas after we got a Wii and I got Hotel Dusk)
Dad: Your not playing Guitar Hero?
Me:*playing Hotel Dusk* Nah not right now I wanna beat my storyline games quick so that I dont hold them off and never finish them.
Dad: You never do that.
Me: Actuly I usally do....or at least dont finish them for a long time.
Dad: No you finish lots of games
Me: Like what?
Dad: What about those detective games you always buy?
Me: Pheonix Wright? Dad he's a lawyer not a detective.
Dad: Oh.
Me: Yeah I beat those games withi two weeks of buying them but those are really addictive.
Dad: Sure if you say so.
Me: They are!

My dad plays some games so he's no a total gametard.

I was playing JFA with my friend watching over my shoulder, and she sang whatever Wellington said. XD And thanks to her, the judge speaks in gibberish.

Oh, and my dad has a PW sprite comic as his computer's desktop, whereas my mom helps me with a case or two.
Or five.

My other friend is into it without even playing the game (Godot's her favorite). She hangs over my shoulder while I play it during passing periods or before school starts.

My parents are worried because now I constantly talk about gay lawyers. =/

My dad hates defense attorneys with a burning passion. I tried to tell him Phoenix is a good person but he doesn't believe me.
Dad: Defense attorneys are bottom feeding scumbags. Even if he knows that his client is a killer, he'll still get up there and lie and tell the court that he's innocent.
Me: D: THAT'S NOT TRUE!
Dad: Yes, it is.
Me: Well... THAT WAS ONLY ONE TIME! And it wasn't his fault because his assistant got kidnapped by an assassin so he had to get a complete acquittal or else she'd die!
Dad: ...Right.

And then he can't remember the name. Phoenix Wright. Because I often talk about Edo Phoenix, my little obsession from Yugioh GX. And he gets them confused.
Dad: How's the lawyer game going? Edo Phoenix, right?
Me: NO! D:

I bet if I tried I could get him to play it, though. But he'd find Mia "disgraceful." =/

My mom would never play it. She thinks it's stupid. She thinks everything's stupid. (She gets mad at me when I buy manga at the bookstore. >_>) And she complains that the HOLD IT and TAKE THAT and OBJECTION are too loud when she's watching TV.
Mom: -after hearing HOLD IT a million times in a cross examination- What the hell is that?
Me: Phoenix Wright.
Mom: Turn it down, I'm watching TV.
Me: And I'm saving innocent people's lives, but I don't ask you to turn off the soap opera...
Mom: -death glare-
Me: D: -leaves room-

This was about a month ago when I was playing the first game.
My dad: Watcha playing?
Me: Phoenix Wright.
Dad: Never heard of it, what's it about?
Me: Oh, you play as a lawyer (dad laughs) ...shut up it's fun. And you have to find evidence and question the witnesses and stuff.
Dad: Doesn't sound fun but whatever.
And that's all he knows. And all my mom knows is that it causes some very twisted conversations between me and my brother. :franny:

My mom likes playing games, I had to get her a DS for christmas this year and she's been busy with that. She knows about my PW games, but fortunately she hasn't managed to get her hands on them yet (I'll won't see them for months if she borrows them)... However, the other night, she did poke her head into my room to see what I was doing when she heard a series of 'Objections!!'.

She laughed when I told her Edgeworth and Wright were arguing in court again ^^;

My dad.... doesn't play games perse, he pretends to dislike them, but more often than not, he always ends up asking me how the game's storyline is progressing and what not. He's also picked up an annoying habit of shouting OBJECTION! whenever someone mentions a lawyer =____=
