"You heard what the man at the counter said! There's more to this case than what we know! I'm sure that I can get my dad to talk about what's going on!"

"...allright fine..." David said, kinda desperate for something to do. "...but after that, nothing more. I don't feel like playing babysitter."

David headed back to the Detention Center and scheduled a meeting with his client again.

Jason sat down, grinning. "Oh, hey dear," he said nonchalantly. "What might you be doing here?"

"We're here to figure out what's going on. Please be honest with us," Neko stated.

Jason sighed. "Neko. I just want us to be clear. What happened in that alley, and why I can't explain it yet, is for you," he answered. "I've already sent a request to have the rules overlooked this one time, but it should take a while. Assuming that our defense attorney can last for about three days, I will then reveal everything. Though I don't think you'd like what you'll hear."

"Why must you wait for 3 days? Why can't you reveal everything now?" David said "I know very little about this case already, and I can't say that you'll last long enough after 3 days. If I don't know the backstory to this case, then you may get a guity verdict the first day. If you're not going to do it for me or yourself, do it for your daughter. And don't worry about if it's anything too dark or creepy, I've handled cases that are much worse than any shadowy organization of killers."

Jason pulled out a book and opens it. "Let's see now...where is that rule...?" he muttered. After flipping through three pages, he stated, "Ah! Here it is! 'The penalty for revealing to the world what we have been doing is death. The penalty for exposing another member is...having your closest loved one murdered in cold blood, right before your eyes.'"

Neko's eyes widened. "Oh...oh no..." is all she manages to say.

Jason sighs and closed the book. "See now? I swore an oath of secrecy. Unless I get written permission from the higher-ups, either I die, or my daughter dies. This is the reason why nobody has found us for at least 1000 years. I never asked to join them. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Got the previous man's job. I'm just a grunt in all of this. A skilled grunt, but a grunt. I don't even know why this entire war has been going on. The higher-ups never tell the grunts.

"I would be careful. You already have some keys to winning this, or at least stalling it. The true murderer will reveal himself, in time. Until then, you must be ready for what is to come."

David smiled at the new information. It wasn't much, but if he was lucky he might be able to win this case tomorrow without even having to point a finger at a new suspect. Maybe.

Regaurdless, David thanked him for the information and left. He then stopped at the store to drop off Neko. He had an idea of what to do next.

A man walked up to David. There wasn't much to identify, other than that he was wearing a face-concealing mask that looked like the Greek Comedy mask. He slipped David a paper that read, "Jason is hiding something much bigger than what he is letting on. Recommend searching the store. Head into the back, there will be a small lock. Use a dagger to stab into it and twist the knife, and all will be made clear."

David took out the slip of paper from his pocket and read it. Surely it couldn't be serious. A ninja he was not, and yet this still intrigued him. He would decide later what to do, as he hadn't determined if this random stranger could be trusted.

As if to grant Drake's wish, a man enters, the same man, if the mask was to be trusted. He handed the exact same slip to Drake, and then left.

Inside laid something quite interesting. Inside could only be described of a secret lair. Filled with various assassin's tools, hidden blades, a sniper rifle, poison, disguises, and a computer. On screen laid the five victims' profiles. Each one was an assassin as well.

"Dear me," the man who ran the shop said, standing right behind Drake. He also had several thugs standing with him. "Looks like a little bird told ya how to get in. Sorry to say, but now you have become a liability that needs to be disposed."

Each one of the thugs pulled out a tazer, and zapped Drake until he fell unconscious. The last words that he heard while conscious was, "And don't worry about the bird. He'll be taken care of. Perhaps with a nice little 'accident'."

Angel then stepped out of the shop to find David and Neko heading back. She decided to follow them, and told David, "I feel as though the shopkeeper is also hiding the whole truth about this case, like Jason. Have you found any clues yet?"

David responded to Angel."Actually, I've been meaning to talk to you. Hold on, I think we should talk somewhere a little more private. I have found out some important things about the case."

He began to walk away from the store and Neko, and he motioned Angel to follow him.

As Drake relaxed in his office, the shopkeep entered with a look that screams "You. Tonight."

The shopkeep stated, "A little bird told me that you managed to escape. Hope we're clear now. You bring up what happened and what you found, you'll die."

"My friend, law is on my site, not your´s.If I can prove your guild was it,well,I´ll be fine"he bluffed
In real he was panicked to death
He tried to focus:It´s my duty to stop them and to put light on the truth . . .I need to talk to that Lawyer . . .Jason was it
Drake said to an officer:"Find and bring me the lawyer in this case.I need to talk to him"

After walking a safe distance from the shop, Angel asked David once more, "So, have you found any major leads? From what you're saying, I feel there is," she said, observing David's expression and her surroundings intently.

David nodded.

"Yeah, it's as I thought. My client is involved in some sort of weird cult. Maybe a league of assasins or something. I dunno. But according to him, he joined this cult unvoluntarily. Also, I recieved this scrap of paper from some stranger" David said as he handed Angel the peice of paper he recieved earlier.

"A cult? Well, it may be an organization of assasins, though I wouldn't actually call it a cult," Angel responded. Then she took the piece of paper and read it. "Hm...if there truly is an organization like this around as you said, then it would be highly suspicious and dangerous to just follow these instructions, even though this seems like a major lead. But, what do you think? Should we follow it?" she asked David, thinking about the risk in her mind.

David shook his head.

"I don't think so. At least for now. I think I have a solid case, and if I can prove that Jason didn't murder that man tommorow, then I might be able to avoid anything involving this cult."

"Anyway, what have you found out?" David asked.

"Oh come now," the shopkeep said. "You honestly think that capturing me will end this? My friend, you don't work this job without having many, many plans. Besides that, I'm not the murderer. Jason and I got a long ways back. I have no reason to frame him for any murders. My friend, even if you try to bring up my 'friends', don't expect to get all your words out before someone...say...shoots ya in the back of the head, or slits yer throat. Besides, assuming that you actually can prove my friends were involved, which I may add you are sorely mistaken, maybe I wouldn't get you, but someone else might. Even worse, they might kill your closest loved one. In cold blood. Right in front of yer eyes."

"I'll only give you one hint," the shopkeep said. "One of the witnesses will be lying about their testimony. Pay attention carefully, and you will spot the contradiction. That is all."

The shopkeep turned around, ready to exit, but he stopped, and mused to himself, "I guess this means you're technically involved." He turned around and handed Drake a book. "This is a list of rules for you to follow regarding this little war. You don't need to follow all of em, just memorize the ones that involve talking about the war."

Rule #1: You talk, you die.
Rule #2: Identifying another assassin to the authorities, even as an "anonymous tip" will end up with your closest loved one killed in cold blood right before your eyes.
Rule #3: Each assassin must clean up another assassin's kills so as to throw off authorities
Rule #4: Don't bother asking about what the war is for. Your job is to kill people, not question why they must die.
Many rules afterwords are only for assassins, but one other rule seems to stand out.

Rule #200: Identifying a "boss" to the authorities will end up with a total family kill, including you.

Angel replied to David, "If what you say is true, that there is this kind of organization, then we know two people likely to be in it, mainly, Jason and the shopkeeper." Then she took a piece of paper out of her pocket. "I also found this in the shop before I was caught by the shopkeeper. It might be more evidence of this 'cult' of assasins." she said, handing David the paper.

"Hmm..." David said thinking.

"Ok, lets try to ignore the fact that this cult is obviously involved. If I can stick to the basic facts, then none of us have to worry about this group. But, I need some solid information. Can you tell me anything about the victim or at least give me an autopsy report?"

While Drake might have some info on the case, David made it a rule not to discuss the case with the prosecution before a trail.

With that, David walked away turning his back to the police officer and Angel.

"Hello there Mr. Johnson." Said the figure from the bed, slightly out of suprise of the visitor he had never seen before. He reached over to the small table and grabbed the TV remote, turning down the volume. "Caught me in the middle of Monk." He said with a chuckle, which he stopped with a wince. "The name is Alex... Any specific questions you'd like to ask me?"
