Anyway, this is great. As long as they balance the difficulty a little (which they failed to do in 9), I think I might get this when it comes out on WiiWare.
Oh, and Proto Man's availible to play at the beggining. Yay.

Oh, and Proto Man's avalible to play at the beggining. Yay.
1) The NP article states they might add an "Easy" mode. Of course, that doesn't mean balancing the game's difficulty per se, but it does make it easier.
2) That, and a third "mysterious" character hasn't yet revealed. My bets are on Bass, since it wouldn't be the first time Megaman/Protoman/Bass would be the three playable characters. Also, Bass never appeared in MM9.

As cool as Bass would be, I'm guessing it'll probably be Roll. With the way they've been shoehorning her into playable roles in the last couple of years (Mega Man: Powered Up and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom come to mind), it wouldn't be too far of a stretch to think they'd do the same here.

Nah, I don't think so. I think Capcom will be as serious with this as they were with MM9. Well, at least as serious as you can be when the plot involves healing "Robotenza". I laughed out loud when I read that, and then realized they were serious.

I love the megaman series so much. I'm glad protoman's playable again and not just basically another difficulty setting (I assume.)

Well, Justis, MM10 will have an Easy mode, if with "I'm not very good at them" you meant "they are too hard".
EDIT: New info from The Mega Man Network
- New robot master announced: Commando Man
- New ice boss is in charge of the glacier stage
- Glacier stage has snowmen (heads explode), ice blacks (break when shot/touched)
- Sewer stage has slug-like Mets
- Stadium stage has enemies related to certain sports (baseball-throwing robots, soccer ball platforms, soccer goalie mini-boss)
- Desert stage will obscure your vision, sandstorms may throw you into spikes/walls
- Yashichi will return to refill Mega Man’s life, weapons energy in full
- Obtain items in the between-level shop similar to Mega Man 9
- Different difficulty modes: Easy mode: Difficulty analogous to Mega Man 2’s difficulty; Hard mode available as well
- Numerous modes, achievements/challenges, online rankings, DLC
- No female robot masters in the game
- Developers have made their own bosses
- No sliding/charging shots ((What the hell do we need Protoman for, then!? D:< ))
- Releasing in March 2010

Well, they did it with MM9. Sliding wasn't actually necessary for the overall game, but would have been useful.

The problem here is they included Protoman, and we all assumed they included him so sliding would be available from the get-go. But now they announce that it won't, and we wonder why the hell did they include Protoman. Okay, he's cool, and red and all, but it just makes us wonder why they didn't give him the slide.

The trailer also shows the outlines of the new Robot Masters, but no names or anything like that.
Also, that sand stage looks pretty brutal. I forsee many deaths on that stage alone.
