This is a trailer.
The critical reception so far has been generously positive.
Listen to this man! He even mentions Star Wars in reference to Avatar.
As for me, I'd see this just because it's directed by James Cameron, the genius behind the sci-fi/slasher epic Terminator 2.

I still don't even know why this movie has so much hype. I might see it, but only if I have nothing else to do. I have a greater chance of bringing my younger siblings along as an excuse to see Princess and the Frog rather than this.
But, I'll give it some time. Who knows? This could actually be quite good.
Oh, and I never knew that the guy who directed T2 did Titanic. Havn't seen either all the way through, but hey. Something new to learn.

I'm not exactly hyped about this movie, mainly because the blue people are really creepy to look at.
I had no idea that James Cameron did Terminator 2 though, maybe I will wait until a few years later when it's on TV or something...

WTF does what they are about have anything to do with suing each other? Biohazard had to change its name because of some band. Dragon Quest had to change it name before DQ7 because of something else called Dragon Quest.
Each one has no relations to each other and yet this movie is using the same name.

I think it looks really good. Unfortunately, I doubt I'll be able to see it in theaters. I don't have the money to go to the theater right now.

Really? Their blue skin looks very inorganic to me... Too smooth to be true. Personally I think Gollum's skin looked a bit more realistic.

Well, if there IS any connection, then it's probably just a coincidence, considering James Cameron originally thought up the idea for this movie in like 1994. This movie and the one about the show were both in dispute over the title, and when you think about this logically($300million movie directed by James Cameron vs. a movie about a kid's cartoon show directed by M. Night Shyamalan), then I'm sure you'd understand why the other movie had to change it to "The Last Airbender".

Because that kind of plot has never been used a million times before amirite?
Haven't seen it yet, but from what I've seen from the trailer, it looks like a big-budget version of Disney's Pocahontas or Dances With Wolves in space.
I'll probably check it out in IMAX for the effects.
