Edgey... Hmm... I'm actually notorious for not falling for characters (and real people) no matter how hot they are. (Yes, I'm aware there's something wrong with me but I'm rather proud of it.) I'm also the type who normally goes for the protagonist, so that means Phoenix is my favorite. But Edgey's my second.
At the beginning, I really hated Edgey, especially how he manages to foil you EVERY single time--when you think you can finally rest after a long, hard trial. BUT NO. He just has to infuriate you with all his objections and snarky comments. But after the Will Powers case, when he actually helps you get the Not Guilty verdict, my opinion changed dramatically. In fact, I started to like him back there. I eventually put him into my good books when you have to defend him. And his past--I feel for people with tragic back stories (I share some of his pain). Most of all, he's a pretty realistic and lovable guy once you get to know him. I like it when he actually opens up and shows his vulnerable side, especially during earthquakes. He just makes you wanna hug him.
Man, I've never seen Edgey cosplayers... I must be cursed!
