I think I'm almost at the end but I have barely touched the side quests so I'm hunting all of these down first.

Dark ore? I'm guessing that event comes later in the game. I just finished talking with Steem, man I haven't played in a week. I liked fighting with the Rocktite, actually. It was a pretty cool miniboss and seeing it scuttle out of the smoke and come at you was awesome.

Trust me, you're gonna learn to hate Rocktites eventually...

Well I still haven't finished the Dark Ore quest, but I got the last two pearl necklaces I needed for the gold freight car anyway. My GOLD TRAIN is complete.

The main reason I wanted to finish that stupid quest in the first place was to get to that temple with all the treasure so I could finish my train, so now that I've done that without the temple, I think I can kind of live without completing the Delivery from Hell. :yogi:

I really hated the last floor of the TOP. They made up for removing repeating every level by making it extremely annoying to complete.

I haven't tried this but is it possible to defeat an armoured train that was near the Snow Temple?

That was the only annoying level in the Tower, though it's actually pretty easy once you figure out what to do and luck out on evading the Hand things.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFINALLY!
Just beat it now.
Spoiler: Thoughts
Dark realm was fun. I thought picking up the tears of light and plowing through trains was awesome. And your train went a lot faster (About time.)
Fighting the train (or the Silly-Faced Train as I call it,) was good. Not a lot to say about it. Except for “Quick! Open up the cargo full of barrels of explosives! That'll slow em down!”
The other bosses were easy as fuck.

I'm kind of stuck on the part where you're in the first village of the Ocean Realm and I'm trying to figure out how to get to the sanctuary over there.

Have you actually met the Lokomo yet and are trying to transport him to the Ocean Sanctuary or are you at the Sanctuary trying to figure out what symbol to draw on the door?

As in, I haven't found the Lokomo, and the people in the village are talking about a group of men being abducted by pirates because they went against the Wise One's word.

Oh, don't mind the pirates, you can't do anything about that until long after you've beaten the fire temple. What you do is go to the Ocean Sanctuary and find the place with all of the statues. Draw on your map their staring path and then trace the symbol it forms on the door in the middle. If you drew the right symbol, the door opens but the Lokomo's not in there, a note says he was at Papuchia Town the whole time. (But it's impossible to find him there unless you opened the door and read the note). Then backtrack to Papuchia and go talk to the wise one, she'll talk about a lone tree somewhere in the island. Go find every lone tree and play the Song of Discovery until another song statue is revealed. This one teaches you the song of Birds, play this song near the tree you found it at and the Lokomo will show up riding on one of the birds. On your way back to the Ocean Sanctuary, pirates will ambush you and you'll have to fight them off in your passenger car. You'll get the hang of it eventually I hope.

Regy, there IS a trick to the Dark Ore quest. Namely, kill the Rocktite before trying to deliver the ore. It's still a bit of a pain trying to kill it, but the delivery is so much easier if you get rid of that thing beforehand.

Beat the game a few minutes ago. The final boss is definately no Ganon, but then again, who is?
Spoiler:
Although the last part of the battle did remind me a lot of a combination between OoT's and WW's final battles...

I wasn't too disappointed, though.

I've finished every game in the series except Four Swords (nobody to play with) and the CD-i titles (those don't really count anyway), but this is the first one that actually made me like the thought of Link and Zelda together. It only took, what, 17, 18 games?

This was my first Legend of Zelda game that I've ever owned and the first one I've ever beaten :D Thanks to ST, I've officially joined the Zelda franchise :D

I liked trains a lot as a kid, so the train concept was enough to get me to buy it XD. I've beaten the game, and I can't stop playing it unlike my other games after I beat them O.o Are all Zelda games like this?! Anyway, so I'm hunting down the side quests and to try and complete the rail maps before I start another file.

Spoiler: The last fight against Malladus...
was the best final boss fight that I've ever played in any of my games. After listening to the song on it, I literally tore up Google to find the ST OST. I still hated when Byrne died though, that part was sad, but I wish they had explored his character a bit more...

My favorite realm is the Forest Realm, but those exploding trains were annoying, but easy to dodge if you stop on the intersections...
Spoiler:
...but I'm glad I got my revenge on them in the Dark Realm. When I was in the Snow Realm, I had dodged the purple exploding train, thinking that it was no different from the blue exploding trains, so as usual, I drove behind it to avoid it, then it suddenly turned around and I crashed into it O_O. After I died, I though "That was just cruel...."

I think I love Buizel too much? ... Nah XD

Not as silly as someone who attempted the quest around fifty damn times before an on-looker casually suggested killing the stupid bug beforehand.

I'm just kind of irritated that the SUPER DELUXE HARDCOVER SPECIAL EDITION STRATEGY GUIDE I spent as much on as the game itself doesn't even suggest killing the Rocktite first; it just says 'This'll be tough.'

Useless! :zenitora:

Strange, I had the same strategy guide too yet I don't think it really needed to say that killing the Rocktite would be easier, that was kind of a given, in fact I was shocked upon realizing that you DIDN'T have to kill it.

When I finally finished the quest successfully, it was still alive, go figure. :eh?:

Mmmh... Suppose I'm facing the skeleton boss from the Sand Temple. I'm at the last vertebrae, and don't have any bombs left. What exactly am I supposed to do? Start all over again?

...Bombs? I used the cannonballs he spits at you. Slow them down with the Sand Wand, move them into the launcher, and hit the switch with the bow.

I never thought about bombs. I guess that would be an easier way of dealing with the last couple vertebrae.

I was planning to use the cannonball, but then put the bomb next to the switch and move so it would turn its head.
I guess the arrow can work too for that one, but it looks much more difficult.

All I did was run around until he fires his laser. Which gives you the oppurtunity to go behind him and just hit the switch yourself.

Bombs are apparently optional in this game. =P

I used arrows, my brother used the boomerang.

Bombs seem like they'd be too chancy to get the timing right.

I tried the boomerang, but I found that really tricky. The whip works sometimes.

Seems the best option is arrows.

Finally beat that son of a submariner.
Not the most difficult, but one of the most annoying bosses in the entire series imo.

Ah Skeldritch is really, really annoying. I used arrows as bombs proved ineffective. It was too risky with the bombs as you had to quickly move or the catapult wouldn't work properly.

I find the next toughest thing in the storyline Ping' will be either the final level of the Temple of Spirits (it's long and easy but tiring to play through) or those damn armoured trains in the Dark Realm.

Spoiler:
I kept dying with the two in the corner so then I eliminated practically everyone including the two but suddenly, the last train started using damn warp portals. Luckily I was literally 2 meters from a glow thing. That train was on my heels too...
