It really sucks when a developer has to take such desperate measures to deal with its economic hardships, but it double-sucks when one of said developer's games -- in this case, Hotel Dusk sequel Last Window -- is still due for an American localization. Here's hoping Cing can recover from what's proven to be one of the most painfully slow sales seasons for the company to date.
Well, this was an unexpected and unpleasant surprise.
Interestingly it doesn't sound like the company has no chance of recovering at all but it's not looking good. :/

And I mean, come on! Why is it the good studios that makes awesome games that go bankrupt, while other who only release shit, or rest on their laurels and earn an awful lot of money?

Yep, Again is still on track to be released on the 30th of March. And since it's Tecmo publishing it, I think we're pretty safe. Don't think they're gonna cancel it so close to release date, especially as all localization work must have already been done.
As for LW, there's still a glint of hope, as Nintendo is the publisher of Cing's games, and they're the one doing all the localization job, not Cing. So we have a little chance to see LW, at least in Europe (remember the trademark...), though I'm not sure I quite like this veil of uncertainty that has fallen over this game... as well as the last Another Code (Trace Memory) that was 'due', which should have been focused on Matt's story.
If LW is released in Europe (or the US), I'll buy two copies, one for me, and one for a friend, so as to support this wonderful game company Cing is!
Well, I hope we'll have some sort of clarification soon enough!...
The prospect of not having those great adventure games to play really sadden me :(

If they do go bankrupt, I'm pretty sure they will get Last Window "localised" since they're going to want to get as much money as they can before they go under, Its simple common sense.
Going defiantly have to pick this up properly when it comes out over in England, if they can't to us before they go bankrupt however, I probably attempt to try and get it imported when it comes out in the US.
Heres to hoping they can get out of this alive...
