Yeah; I kinda miss it sometimes. Considering how Yew's just playing around with him, I expected the old Bratworth to show up. :lana:

At PW: AA, Edgey wasn't one who believed in finding the truth yet. He was all, "All I want is my guilty verdict." I think it was after Nick broke his record that he began to realize it, especially considering that
Spoiler: 1-3
he helped get Dee Vasquez get convicted. Or maybe it was just because he's a fan of Will Powers. XD

I don't think Edgeworth is mean to Phoenix. He just likes being a dick to people in court. You know, for dramatic effect. It's a different stage and all.

If you haven't played JFA and T&T, I won't spoil it.
Spoiler: just in case
But be assured that Phoenix's good deeds get repaid... twice over, even.

Maybe Nick bitched about the Earthquake thing in T&T a bit too much.

I doubt it. For some reason, it seems to be the norm in Japanese games for people to say things like that (well, at least in the English translations). I noticed it a lot in other games (Xenogears, and the Suikoden series come to mind). There's a whole lot of "that man" or "that woman" or "he" or "she" or "that person" or "him" or "HER" and it's always in QUOTES for some queer reason and though they're never mentioned by name you KNOW who they're talking about but even so it's just RGHFHHGHFHHG.

But it's still a shout-out, so.

I don't think so. I think it's because this is Edgey's game, so it's best to keep the spotlight off Nick. Plus, he's not significant in this game. But as Adrian said, it's indeed a shout-out.

I think they do that to make the game more comfortable for those who play it for the first time. The new game should attract new audience, so they are consider the fact that somebody would buy AAI with no idea who Phoenix Wright is.

There are a lot of cute references that you wouldn't get unless you've played the other games, though. Maybe it's like promotion.

Greetings, Edgeytarians! 8D It was only a matter of time before I started posting here.

But getting right to it, I wasn't really a big fan of Edgeworth before. But then I started playing as Miles on an RP some time July last year, I think? I had to pass the baton to someone else recently though because school is a bitch. ;3; It's when you get to step into another person's shoes that you come to really appreciate them, and that's what did it for me. And of course AAI brings a lot of insight about what he's like and his endearing quirks. xD

My family and I went swimming yesterday; and as my cousin was getting changed, I saw she brought deep red underwear to change in. I then told her I had this image of Edgey swimming in our clubhouse's Olympic-sized pool in tight red Speedos. To top it off, my voice was pretty loud, and the door to the men's bathroom was wide open. XDD

Oh, and I doubt you've noticed this Nad (I'll actually be surprised if you did lol), but I was amused by the fact that a few instances I've done in the RP as Miles appeared in the game. Particularly

Spoiler: AAI
the "you should not speak of what you know nothing of" line, the scene with Miles giving a girl his hanky, and Miles having a spare cravat on him LOLOLOL. Does that mean I was doing it right?

You know, all this time, everybody has been saying Edgeworth is gay, but I always wanted to believe he was a metro. Then I played the new game....that line about ladies perfume stinking convinced me.

But even still.....I want to believe he's metro, even if I know the truth. :edgy:

I feel like a bad Edgeworth fan right now.

Normally, when I get a GS game, I complete it in 5-6 days. I've had AAI for over two weeks now...

And I still haven't finished it. Maybe it's the fact that I've gotten stupider lately (the third case confused the hell out of me... Don't ask how, I know, it's not really all that confusing), but I'm not playing it nonstop like I normally do.

I just finished mine. The new Logic system put a different dynamic to the game that made it harder to do. If there's a GK2, I think you'll get through that faster :) Took me a while to get use to magatama logic :/ I'm not a gamer thoguh so maybe I'm just slow...

That doesn't prove anything. Franziska thought it smelt strong too off memory. Besides, it was an overpowering smell. Not liking it didn't mean that he's gay or not gay. Just means he doesn't like the smell. Gay isn't a stereotype. It's a sexual preference. Gay men can be as blokey as other straight men too.

My thoughts exactly. Overall, pretty much everyone thought that perfume was too strong, and no one really said they liked it.

Spoiler: GK case 4
Her intention was after all, to get Badd (I think it was Badd?) to open the window to fan out the smell to ensure the gunshot was heard anyway.

Hell, I don't like smells of a lot of perfumes (or cologne) either.

Another thing I've noticed people commenting on GK was Edgeworth's comments on furniture and interior decorating in general. Again, I think this is a misconception because this is a very common subject for high-brand designers and rich people. Considering Edgeworth's upbringing (as well as Franziska's since they've discussed it together at certain points in the game), I'm pretty sure he developed a strong idea of what style was.

In order for Edgeworth to actually be gay, there would have to be some sort of indication that he is having an affair with another male character. It doesn't matter if he's wearing "pink", or if you think he "looks" gay, the only thing that makes you gay is who you love.

And I don't think it's made particularly clear who Edgeworth has any strong romantic feelings for in particular.

And if he were gay, would it add anything to the story?

The writers were definitely teasing though, regarding Edgeworth's gayness/metrosexuality. It wasn't only the perfume.

Spoiler: AAI Case 5
When Detective Gumshoe comes back from inspecting the room directly opposite of Coachen's office, one of the items he brings back are a pair of shoes. If you choose to inspect them Lang will say something along the lines of "We have a saying about men who look at shoes a little too long". x'DD

Yaoi is an aesthetic hon. It doesn't mean it's canon. Yaoi fans like to think it is. Just let them :) As long as it has a spoiler tag with a warning, who is it hurting? ^^

And for yaoi fan girls, it FULLY adds to the story him being in the closet. If he was actual openly gay I think people would be more "Uhh...". Hinting on possible gayness in game is much more fun that them just announcing it :)

Might I suggest moving the debate to this pre-started thread?

It totally hasn't been getting any action for a while :larry:
