Well, I've been thinking about this for a while... This takes place about a decade after GS4

Prepare to be shocked:

any critisisms welcome
Spoiler: The Prologue
The phone rings, an ominous tone coming from the center of the room. A tone that had shook me awake with an annoying blare!

“What is it?” I answered, yawning slightly. 5:30 was way to early to be up right now.
“Ah, good, you’re up… finally!” A woman’s voice declares, way too cheery... and that could only mean one person.

“Detective, what on earth are you doing calling me at 5:30 in the morning?” I asked, stifling a yawn. The voice wasn’t exactly welcome at this time of day.

I heard a faint crackling on the other end, and recognized the sound, “Detective Skye, would you please not eat while talking to me?”

“… Ah, who cares what I’m doing when I talk to anyone? Anyway, there’s been a murder…”

“And this was so important…why? Why didn’t you just tell me at my office?” I asked, partially annoyed.

“Well…” Detective Skye suddenly sounded as if she were in tears, “The victim… was Mister Wright.”

“WHHAAAATTTT!!!!!” I said, suddenly wide awake.

“Yes, sir. Phoenix Wright is dead. I figured you should know this immedatly… I’m at their house now, with Trucy.”

I almost dropped the phone… Phoenix, Dead? I never would have thought…

“I’m on my way.” I said, immediately getting dressed, “We’ll catch this guy, or my name isn’t Miles Edgewoth.”

i don't like the way this story is going... pheonix the love of my life is dead and trucy is sad and edgwoth is in it. i'm so confuesed.... i think i'm gunna go screem into a pillow...

Trust me, It's only going to get worse... and then a lot better.

Spoiler: Chapter 1- Misery, how painful is thy touch
It took me less than thirty minutes to reach the Wright and Co. Talent Agency/ Law offices. It used to hold two defense attorneys: Apollo Justice… and Phoenix Wright, who had successfully passed the bar exam once again, five years ago.

I parked my red Porsche in front of the building, along with a few police cars, all hard at work…hopefully.

“Mr. Edgeworth!” My newest subordinate, Ema Skye, shouted, as she dashed to me , “I’m glad you made it so fast!” She said, munching on her favorite snack. Not for the first time, I wondered how that white lab coat of hers stayed so clean.

“Details, Skye.” I said, making my way into the room.

Ema gulped, “Yes Sir. Cause of Death was multiple stabs to the heart, lungs, and stomach. We figure the murder weapon was small, each wounds were only about an inch long. Maybe a small knife, or something of the like.”

That’s when I saw the body. I almost collapsed as I saw the man I deeply respected dead. Other than the multiple stab wounds, he looked like he was merely asleep.
“Wright… “ I whispered…

“Okay…Question one, why are we learning of this now… at 6:00?”

“Umm… I can answer that, Mr. Edgeworth.” A woman said, coming from an inner room. A young woman of 25 stared about me with incredibly red eyes, obviuously from crying too long.

“Mrs. Trucy…” I whispered, and almost gasped as she hugged me, tears in her eyes.

“I had heard the door slam, and that had woken me up.” She said, trying to stop her tears. “Daddy was late, so I was going to scold him… but he was lying on the couch dead!”

I gave her a hankercheif, “This won’t go unpunished.” I vowed to her. “Detective.”

“Right.” Ema said, “Come on, Trucy, you can stay at my place.” She gently led Trucy to her car.

“MR EDGEWORTH!!!”

Detective Gumshoe dashed up to me, very much out of breath, “Is it true?”

I merely stared at him, witch seemed to answer his question.

“I… I can’t believe it, sir.”

I seethed, “So, the merly means a death penalty to our murderer. Now then… we need to learn about, 1. How He wound up here, on the couch. 2. What this murder weapon is, and 3, possible suspects. You take the first, get Skye on the third.”

“Yes, SIR!” Gumshoe said, before running off.

“NNNIIIIIICCCCCKKKK!!!!” A young woman ran right past a guard, and began crying.

“Ah… Mrs. Fey…” I said, recognizing her.

“Edgewoth! HOW COULD YOU LET THIS HAPPEN!!!” Maya said, overcome with grief, started punch me on the chest.

“Ack!” I gasped. The girl could hit. “I- I’m truly sorry… I’m doing whatever I can…


"How...how's your wife?" Maya, asked, trying not to sound too sad
"She's fine. " I reassured. "Now, I can only assume Pearl dosen’t know yet?”



“She’s at Hazakura temple right now, training with Iris, so no… oh, Mr. Edgeworth…”

I was hugged tightly, I could feel water against my chest… and I couldn’t think of doing anything, other than hugging back.

Spoiler: Chapter 2- Love really hurts
“Ah, Right.” I said, shaking myself back into reality, “Standing here won’t solve anybody’s problems.

I bent over to Wright’s body, and examined him once more. “Hmph, there is something bulging in his pockets.” I noticed.

I put on a set of gloves I always carry around, and pulled a set of keys from his pocket. I gave them a forensics expert, who bagged them up.

“Give some fingerprint analysis on those.” I ordered, though I knew it would be pointless. There would be only Mr. Wrights fingerprints, or none at all.

“This adds another question… how did the killer get in?” I said out loud

“Did we not just see a set of keys?” Maya asked, confused

“Yes, but there was a problem with them. I don’t think the killer used those keys. Ms. Trucy said she discovered the body ‘after she had heard a door slam’… The killer wouldn’t have had time to replace the keys before making a run for it.

“Couldn’t he have unlocked the door, put the keys back in his pocket, and then laid him the couch?” Maya asked.

I thought about it for a second, then shook my head, “That would be very risky. Would you waste time when you have a dead body with you?”

“So… what does that mean?” Maya asked, a look of confusion evident on her face.

“Well… either the door was unlocked already… or our murderer already had a key.” I said, thinking, “If our murder had a key, then they were connected with our victim in some way… I should remember this.”

“Mr. Edgeworth!” Shouted Gumshoe, reappearing on the crime scene, at such a high voice I almost covered my ears. “I just got a call from forensics… there are only Wright’s finger prints on these keys!”

“That confirms it.” I thought.

“Good Work, Detective.” I said, only a little disappointed, “That was some super speed on those prints.”

Gumshoe looked incredibly sad, “Well… the forensics’ sort of got yelled at by Detective Skye. Mr. Wright meant a lot to her, you know.


“Oh, right..” I said, almost too tactless.
A sound reaching my ears, like a constant clicking noise. One that seemed familiar to me.

Gumshoe seemed to recognize it, too. “Hey… that sounds like-”

I remembered where I had heard it before, and sidestepped…
… just as I heard Gumshoe yell in pain.

“Miles!” Came the voice I had come to love… although it sounded very angry.

Franziska entered the room, dressed in her usual outfit, a fierce expression on her face. She turned to me, and I felt flushed… especially when she whipped me across the chest three times… though I had long gotten used to it.

“How dare you?” She asked, “I wake up, and find you already gone… and then I hear from the office that Phoenix Wright is DEAD! … And you didn’t even THINK about waking me up and telling me?”

“Umm…sorry.” I managed to blurt out, “It was 5:30 in the morning… I didn’t want to wake you.”
“Don’t do it again.” She warned, pointing at me with the hand that held our wedding ring.

“You got it…” I said, trying to laugh it off, though it only netted me a few more lashes.

I spent the next few minutes explained what little I had gathered.

“Then you think that the killer was a family friend?” She said, after thinking about my explanation.

I nodded, “It is the only lead I have at this moment.”

“Hardly perfect.” I heard her snort. Something seemed to click in her head, and she whipped Gumshoe, “Why, oh why are you just standing there?”

Gumshoe quickly ran away as the second strike landed.

Franziska bent over, and examined Wright’s body, “…It doesn’t take this much to kill a man.” She said, out loud, “This was overkill… maybe the killer held a grudge?”

That’s when I had an idea, “Okay, maybe he failed to defend someone? “

I pulled out my cell phone, and called Detective Skye, “Get someone to make a list of people recently released from jail, and cross reference it with known friends of the Wright Family.”

I heard a loud munching sound, “You got it!”

I inteded this story to be sad, but also feed fire on the angry prople... enjoy.

Spoiler: Chapter 3: Tricks And Bricks
Before she hung up, I asked to speak with Trucy … or perhaps I should say, Defense Attorney Trucy Wright. She had passed the bar exam three years ago, now taking her father’s place.

“Mrs. Trucy… I have a question. Did you or Phoenix keep any spare keys outside the house?”
I heard a small sob… and then, “Umm… yeah, right outside the door. One of the bricks that make the wall is loose, because it’s hollow. One of my most interesting tricks.”

Now I remembered. Apart from being a good defense Attorney, She had also inherited the techniques of Troupe Gram Cracker… or something like that. She had received national spotlight when an airplane had disappeared mid flight, and reappeared on the lane on witch it had took off…

“Witch brick?” I asked, intrigued.
“Umm… fifth from the right, eight from the bottom. It has my initials on it.”

I stepped outside and located the brick, and pulled it out…

… there wasn’t anything inside of it.

“LABBIE! FINGERPRINT TESTING! NOW!” I shouted, tossing it at a labbie. “Trucy, was it in the brick, that last you remember?”

“Umm… yup.” Trucy replied…”You mean it’s not there anymore?”

Franziska looked at me, “I guess that confirms your theory… It was someone close to the Wrights.”

“Who knew about this key?” I asked

“Umm… I’m not sure…”

“TRUCY!” I said, my voice almost a shout.

“ACK! … I only know one or two people… Guy Eldoon and Polly.” Trucy said, frightened.

“Polly?” I asked, “You have a parrot?”

“No, Apollo Justice, ace attorney. He worked for my father.”

I browsed through my mental list of defense attorneys, “Nope, never heard of him.” I said.
“Huh… oh , Ema wants too talk to you.” Trucy said, and there was a slight crackling noise, and a munching noise.

“Okay, I got the list, and I’m sending it to your phone.” Ema said.
At that moment, my phone gave a beep, and displayed some information:

1.: Spark Brushel
Crime: Severe Yellow Journalism, False accusations, multiple sues for falsely printed information
Attorney: Phoenix Wright
Released: 1 week ago

2. ???????? (Claims to be Doctor Hickfeild of the Hickfeild Clinc.)
Crime : Multiple counts of sexual harassment
Attorney: Phoenix Wright
Released: yesterday

3. Guy Eldoon
Crime: 5 counts of involuntary manslaughter due to food poisoning.
Attorney: Trucy Wright, Phoenix Wright
Released: 3 days ago.

my heart skipped a beat, and I gasped

4. Lana Skye
Crime: forging evidence
Attorney: Phoenix Wright

"Ema.." I whispered, I felt like I was struck in the stomach.

other than that, there was a list of about five other people... why, oh why, did so many of his clients got found guilty…

Well… I remember the Brushel Case. I was the prosecutor for that case… Wright didn’t stand a chance.

One of my eyes focused, and I showed the phone to Franziska, who noticed it.

“Gentlemen, we have a suspect!” She shouted, and whipped a police officer.


1 hour later, I heard the shout of, “What are you talking about? I didn’t kill anyone!!!!”

A man wearing… a bowl of noodles, was dragged in front of me.

You're story is really great... unfortunately Nick is dead... but it's very interesting.

Spoiler: Chapter 4- Confrontation
“I’ll say it flat out.” I said to the noodle seller, You are currently under suspicion for the murder of Phoenix Wright.”

The sound of a harmonica reached my ears, “Mr. Wright is dead?... How’s Trucy-doll taking it?” He asked, concerned.

“That doesn’t matter right now.” I said. That harmonica had made me irritated. I pulled out my phone and called Gumshoe, “How’s the search going?”

“It’s going great, sir!” He said, way too cheerful for my taste. “We found a bloody knife under his sofa, and his fingerprints are all over the handle!”

“And the blood?” I asked
“Oh… forgot to do that test…”
“Detective, remember that raise I gave you?” I asked, becoming even more irritated.
“You bet I do!” Gumshoe replied, “I was able to buy beef !!”

“That’s about to become null and void! Pick up the slack and move!” I shouted.

“Yikes! YESSIR!” He shouted, and the line went dead.

“Guy Eldoon, I officially place you under arrest for the murder of Phoenix Wright.” I said, and a officer handcuffed him.

Franziska brought her down on him, “What gave you the right?!” She shouted.

A man walked through the door, wearing a brighter red vest then the suit I was wearing, “I got a call from Trucy… She said Ema called in for the arrest for Guy Eldoon… “

“And you are?” I asked

“My name is Apollo Justice, Ace Attorney… but that dosen’t matter right now.” Apollo said, taking out a small message, “I wrote that down, but the message is Trucy’s.”

I looked at the message, scrawled in almost-chicken-scratch.

“Edgeworth…

I don’t believe Eldoon is the murderer… don’t ask me why, I just no it. If you plan on taking him to trial, I’ll have to follow my father’s footsteps and defend him.”

I stared at the message, and smileed, “Like father, like daughter… unfortunately, He’s our only suspect right now… so Trial will take place tomorrow.”

Apollo Smiled, “I have always wanted to go up against you in court, so I’ll be there with Trucy.”

Yay! New chapter! First I'll point out some places that need to be fixed.
Spoiler:
"Franziska brought her down on him"
I think a whip is missing...
In Trucys' message, "I just no it." Isn't it supposed to be 'know'?
"so Trial will take place" I don't think trial needs a capital T.
And, "Apollo Smiled" - there's an extra capital letter.
But it's great! Can't wait for more chapters... I wonder how Eldoon will take his arrest. And, of course, I can't wait for the trial. This is a really interesting twist... :keiko:

thanks for the help, I hurried and finished the next chapter, just for YOU! :edgy:

Spoiler: Chapter 5- On the day of the trial
Over the course of the day, I had begun to plan my strategy for court. After more searching, we found that the blood was, indeed, Phoenix Wright’s. However, I know that murder weapons can often be fabricated.

So I had searched Eldoon’s house thoroughly, and came up with no other signs of tampering.

I almost felt bad. I mean, I would be going up against Wright’s Daughter… and Polly something-or-other. I had to quickly get that out of my head. In Court, there is no Miles Edgeworth , No Trucy Wright. There is only the witness, prosecution, defense, and he judge. There are no friends, there are no enemies.

So, I, by Franzsika’s request, filled out a form for her to be my prosecution aide. She really wanted a crack at the murderer.

That night, we stayed up to around 11:30, watching nothing in particular. I had gotten to become a pretty decent chef, so I had cooked us some brisket, while Franzsika went for some quality wine.

After our shows were over, Franzsika said, “Don’t worry, we’ll get this guy, you can sleep easy, or my name isn’t Franzsika Edgeworth.”

I smiled and kissed her goodnight, and fell asleep almost immediately.

I woke up at around 7:30, thanks to Franzsika shaking me awake. We quickly ate breakfast, got dressed, made our plans for the trial, and headed over to the courthouse.

I took my place in the prosecution’s lobby, and almost started sweating .
Franziska put her hand on my shoulder, “You’ll be perfect, don’t worry.”

I smiled at her reassurance.

“Mr. Edgeworth!” Gumshoe said, walking through the door, “Guess what, sir? The defense found a witness!”

“Always SOMETHING!” I said, getting angry.

“Anyway, I’ve gone over my testimony twice now, and I’m sure they’ll find nothing wrong with it.” Gumshoe said, giving me that annoying smile.

At that moment, the bailiff walked through, “It’s time, Chief Prosecutor Edgeworth. Mrs. Edgeworth.”

I took my place on the bench, hearing the silence of the courtroom beginnings that I love so dearly, this wonderful palace of the truth.

I watched Trucy and Apollo walk in. Gone was Trucy’s magician’s out fit. She had chosen to where the same color suit that Phoenix always used to wear. The other guy was in that same annoying red suit.

I looked to my right, and saw the jury piled in. I wistfully remembered the days with just a judge.

I looked at the judge, and groaned. It was the usual, not to bright one. He grabbed his gavel and slammed it, “Court is in trial for Guy Eldoon. Prosecution, your opening state-“

Franziska whipped him, “We know how it goes, Your Honor.”

I gave my trademark slight bow, “Guy Eldoon is charged with the murder of Phoenix Wright.”

The judge startled, “Phoenix Wright? You mean….”

Franziska whipped him again, “Reminisce later.”

The judge recoiled, and nodded.

“Anyway. We have evidence showing that, it was , indeed, Guy Eldoon who committed this crime.”

The judge nodded again, “And the defense?

Trucy spoke, “We are prepared to show tha these claims are false.”

“Then let’s get this started.” I said, pointing, “To the stand, Gumshoe!”

I rweally ate double posting, but here is the next chapter!

Spoiler: Chapter 7- gotcha
I waited a couple of minutes for Gumshoe to get on the stand, “Witness, name and occupation.” I demanded

“Detective Dick Gumshoe, local detective, criminal affairs precinct.” Gumshoe, looking as he always did, in court: Confident.

That didn’t really fill me with confidence.

“The detective will testify about the general facts of the death.” I proclaimed.
The judge nodded, “Let’s hear it, detective.”

Gumshoe nodded, “The time of death was around 5:15, sir. Cause of death was multiple stab wounds to the heart and lungs. The body was found on the Wright Family couch. There was little blood at the crime scene, so we concluded that-“

“Objection!” I shouted, “You’re not hear to testify about the crime scene, detective. I ask that the last statement be stricken from the record.”

“Sustained. Be careful, Detective.”

“R-right. Anyway, after careful examination, we found that the wounds were caused by a medium-sized steak knife.”

I nodded, “Excellent, job Detective. There is a raise in your future.”

Gumshoe considerably brightened, “Thank you, sir!”

Trucy spoke up, “I’ll cross-examine, your honor.”

The judge nodded, “Proceed.”

“Detective, exactly how did the forensics learn of the exact time of death.” Trucy asked, staring at Gumshoe.

“Well.. umm….” Gumshoe said, slightly confused.

Franziska cracked her whip at Gumshoe, then answered for him, “It’s easy to determine the exact time of death because of body decay. It wasn’t even starting, so that means that the body had died within half-an hour.”

“I see.” Trucy said, staring at Franziska with enough force to frighten a tiger. “Very well… that’s all I needed to know.”

“You are done for now, leave the stand.” I ordered.

“I… I actually held out?” Gumshoe said, hardly believing his ears. He dashed out of the courtroom.

“So, multiple stabbing to the heart and lungs… that’s overkill! “ The judge said, eyes wide.

I nodded, “And now we’ll hear about the state of the crime scene. Detective Skye, please enter the courtroom.”

5 minutes later, Ema Skye took the stand, holding a bag of Snackoo’s… a present for a job well done yesterday.

“Detective, please inform us about the actual crime scene, why it is the real crime scene.”
Franziska asked.

Ema nodded, “ Well, first of all, there was little blood where we found the victim’s body, and there was nothing at the current scene to contain the blood. If the victim had been murdered there, there would be tons of the stuff. Before you ask, we did a luminal, and there were no traces. As for the actual crime scene, that is currently unknown to us.”

I bowed, “Testimony like a pro.” I complimented.

Apollo smiled, “I’ll cross examine.”

Ema groaned, ‘Oh, great.” I heard her complain.

“First of all, how do you know the blood hadn’t been contained?” Apollo asked

“Did YOU see anything resembling a container?” Ema fired back.

“Then you do not know for sure?” Apollo asked

“Objection.” I said, calmly, “Whether we found a container is irrelevant. Detective, you don’t have to answer that.”

“Okay… so your entire case is based on there was little amount of blood.”

Got him. I thought, “Detective, please inform the court of our decisive evidence.”

“You got It!” Ema shouted

“Ev…evidence?” Trucy said, now staring at me.

“First of all, we found a bloody knife underneath the defendant’s sofa. The blood was Mr. Wrights, we tested it. And worse, there were his fingerprints on the handle. In addition to that, the defendant knew of a spare key to the Wright’s residence, witch was hidden well. Said keys were not where they were supposed to be, We later fond the key in the defendant’s pocket.”

I bowed, “And there you have it.”

Yay! 2 new chapters! They're really good... the trial is interesting. It seems the prosecution has won...
But... have I missed out on a chapter? You've posted Chapter 5 and Chapter 7...
You've also written "Franzsika" a few times in Chapter 5... but it's fine. :pearl:
I wonder how the defense will turn this around?

Trucy spoke up, “Well, It’s been a real blast playing defender, but I think I’ll get on with my attack.”

“What?” I asked, and immediately thought, “She’s up to something.”
“The prosecutions has been doing an excellent job spinning these amazing illusions over us, and, believe me, I know illusions. However, the defense is ready to make this trick disappear.”

“And that means?” The judge asked.

“Before I reveal that, my client wishes to testify.” Trucy said, “Let My client, Guy Eldoon, take the Stand!”

“Mr. Eldoon.” Trucy said, minutes later, “You are already really close to becoming falsely convicted of murder, so please lay our your steps on the day of the murder..”

A harmonica played, “You got it, Trucy Doll. At around 7:00, I went to a bar not to far away from my house with a couple of friends. Ask around, that alone will prove my innocence.”

“Objection! Not Really!” Fransika said, whipping the defandan t.

“If I can finish?” Eldoon said, “I have a witness for the entire night. My Girlfriend was with me the entire time!”

“Is that so?” I said, getting a little angry… “That raise of Gumshoe’s just went out the door.”

“ANYWAYS” Trucy said, interrupting my thoughts , “Are my opponents ready to hear testimony from his girlfriend? She’s in the lobby as we speak.

“Objection! I shouted, “Relationship’s mean nothing. This woman could easily be protecting the defendant. Lies are so easy to make up, you see.”

The judge shook his head, “Still, we need to hear this. May the witness take the stand.”

You're characterization of Trucy was great. :minuki: Especially the trick and illusion phrases... very nice. :godot:
Eldoon has a girlfriend? Wow... that's funny. That's funnier than Payne having a wife. :payne:

The woman on the stand bowed, “Ah, Mr. Edgeworth, it has been quite a long time!”

“But…what are you… and him? Age difference…. Such a big difference.” I said, my eyes must have been incredibly wide.

The woman bowed again, “Age only matters professional wise. I may be very professional, but so is love.”

I almost threw up, “This… will make me very, very sick… is it my birthday or something?”

The judge spoke up, “Witness, name-“

“That won’t be necessary, your Honor… may I present to you Rhoda Tenerio… Flight Attendant.”

Tenero smiled, “So you do remember me?”
“You mean how you almost got me in jail? Yes, I remember VERY well! Please give us your testimony.”

I groaned, and thought of Fransika’s whip. “Telepathy powers, conveniently awaken inside of me.” I thought to myself

“It is as Mr. Eldoon says, sir. I was with him the entire time. For most of the night, we were hanging out in one of the local bars. At around 11:15, we went to Eldoon’s house to watch movies for the rest of the time. I fell asleep around 5:00.”

“Hold it!” I shouted, “Exactly how do you know the time you fell asleep?”
“It’s called a clock.” Tenerio replied. I detected a bit of anger. But it worked, I had stalled her while my mind raced.

“Anyway, there is a contradiction here.” I said, getting warmed up “Detective Skye, where did we find the defendant when we arrested him?”

“umm… in his house, by his refrigerator.” Skye answered.

“Was there anyone else-“

“OBJECTION!” Trucy shouted, “Don’t you dare say Tenerio is lying. Every good magician as an ace up her sleeve. Here’s one of mine.” Trucy held up a small, pink object.
“What is that?” I asked
“It’s a shoe.”

“Oh…wait… why is that…” I said, cursing to myself. I already knew the answer to that question. I had fallen right into a trap.

“I found this when I discovered Teneiro ASLEEP IN ELDOON’S BEDROOM!”

To my right, the jury started talking amongst themselves.

“How did you not see that coming?” My wife asked
“Fine, you take the next questioning.” I grumbled, humiliated.

“So you claim to have fallen asleep at around five?” Franziska asked, searching for more information.

“Correct.”
“Then you have proven nothing.” She said, “The murder took place at around 5:30. Could he not have committed the murder during that 30 min. time frame?”

At that moment, Apollo started coughing wildly. “Your honor, I’m starting to feel really sick… do you mind if I leave for some air?”

“Granted… do you have a stand-in?”
“Of course.” Came Maya’s voice as she appeared out of seemingly nowhere.

“He’s up to something…” I whispered

Unfortunately, I had no time to discover their plan, so for now, I decided to continue with my Wife’s Attack.

Tenerio seemed shaken, “But, It would have been difficult to commit a murder in under thirty minutes. He’d have to break in, stab the body, clean up, and make a clean getaway… all without alerting anyone.”


“Break in? Really?” I asked, latching on to a piece of information. I placed my cell phone on the desk. “Your Honor, may we listen to a conversation on my cell phone?”

The judge nodded, “Proceed, Mr. Edgeworth”

I hit play…

“Mrs. Trucy… I have a question. Did you or Phoenix keep any spare keys outside the house?”
“Umm… yeah, right outside the door. One of the bricks that make the wall is loose, because it’s hollow. One of my most interesting tricks.”

“Witch brick?” I asked,
“Umm… fifth from the right, eight from the bottom. It has my initials on it.”
“Who knew about this key?”

“Umm… I’m not sure…”

“TRUCY!” I said, my voice almost a shout.

“ACK! … I only know one or two people… Guy Eldoon and Polly.” Trucy said, frightened.

I hit stop.

“Did you hear that? Guy Eldoon knew of a spare key to the house. I also present the hollow brick as evidence, to show there was no key.

“Hmm…. That is indeed irrefutable evidence.”

I could see Trucy Sweating, “But…”

I bowed, my face almost against the bench…

“OBJECTION!”

…

I recognize that Objection… It sent chills down my spine…

…
But it simply couldn’t be…

I looked up and almost fainted. That setteled it, Today, never existed…I’m dreaming this.

Phoenix Wright stared right back at me, dressed in pink robes, pointing at me…

“Hello…Miles.” He said, smiling.

“H…how?” I asked, still not believing my eyes or ears. This defied all manner of logic…”

Or did it? I thought to a certain case, where the murderer had died before killing the victim… and she was brought back to life by…

“The Kurian Channeling Technique.” I said, finally. I had been in the audience When Wright had gone against Prosecutor Godot, and had witnessed the Spirit of Dahila returning to the land of the dead.

It had been an elaborate plan, Justice would fake he’s sick, to usher in Maya and throw me off guard, followed by Phoenix’s revival….

Wright nodded, “ Shocked a little too much there, Edgeworth? Straighten up.”
I nodded, “I take it you have something to say?” I asked, trying to act like he had never died.

The Judge looked like he had seen a ghost…witch he had. “Mr… Wright? How…”

Franziska whipped the Jude “Did you NOT just hear Miles say the Kurian channeling technique?... the Ini Miney Case? The Godot case?”

“Ah, yes, now I remember…” The Judge nodded, “I’m very sorry, Mr. Wright as to, umm…”

“My death?” Phoenix Wright interrupted, “Think nothing of it. I’m where I belong.”

…

“Anyway, I’m here to say one thing, and one thing only: Eldoon could not have been my murderer. The voice was female…”

I glanced at Tenerio, who spoke up, “Don’t look at me…”

“It wasn’t her.” Wright said, “Her voice sounded almost familiar somehow, but I could not place it.”

“Are you sure about this?” I asked, confused… this didn’t fit in with the facts… “Care to explain how we found the murder weapon under his sofa?”

Wright shrugged, “Something like that is easy to set up. You should know that.”

Trucy, who had stayed in shock (it was clear Apollo hadn’t told her) whispered, “Daddy?”

“Hello there, love.” Wright said, and hugged her, “You’ll be fine without me.”
A tear formed in Trucy’s eyes, “Daddy…”

“Stop.” Wright commanded, “A defense attorney is not allowed to show tears until it’s all over. You know what to do.”

Trucy nodded,” As you can see, we’ve had testimony FROM THE DEAD VICTIM HIMSELF!... clearly, it is not my client.”

The judge nodded, “Obviously… Mr. Edgeworth…Mr. Edgeworth?”

I didn’t stay to hear the verdict. I walked out of the courtroom… Where had I gone wrong… I need to find the real murderer, or I can’t look in Wright’s face again.

Great job so far, Rarikou. The story is certainly exciting (I just read through it all). That last chapter made me think that before, only females had been channeled by the Kurain Channeling Technique, so I was taken by surprise when Phoenix came back. About the character traits, you seem to do a good job at Trucy and Franziska, though Edgeworth seems to be easily more excitable than what I thought possible at times. But still, good going there. The story is strangely fast-paced, but I've been liking it's development. Keep up the good work. :minuki:

My first thought was simple: I had to figure out where I had gone wrong in my earlier investigation…

Let me see what I learned today… The murderer was not Mr. Eldoon, although there was the murder weapon under his couch. Tenerio currently has no reason to Murder Phoenix Wright…as far as I’m concerned, they’ve never even met..

Wright said that the voice of his killer was female, and for the weapon to have even appeared where it did, this female is either a criminal mastermind who stalked Eldoon to gain the location of his house to frame him, or she was a friend…

Something didn’t add up…. Maybe I should Maya…

I pulled out my cellphone, and dialed Maya’s number…

Apparently, Wright hadn’t left her body, because he answered on the second ring, “Yes, Edgeworth?”

“You’re still here?” I asked

Wright gave a slight laugh, “The police wanted me to takea statement, so here I am…”

‘So he’s saying someone at the police center actually did something right?’ I almost asked him.

“Okay, I need some questions answered.”

“Shoot.”

“Where were you when you were murdered?” I asked…

“… ummm … I think … oh yeah, It was that stupid fruit park, behind Tres Bein.”
Wright said, giving it some thought…

“And Tres Bien is a ….?

“Trust me, you don’t want to know.” Wright said, deadly serious.

Wright gave me the address, so I called detective skye, and headed over there as fast as I could.

I agree, it must have been a coincidence, but it set on my mind in such a way that it was unexpected how this turned out. Great job, though, that was perfectly reasonable. Since the voice was female, maybe Armstrong could be the killer. *shot*

Kudo? I don't like him that much, but you could go ahead and use it, he has quite a strong character... I'd be interesting to see how he would be involved in this murder. :hobohodo:

Sorry guys, O recently have been playing Persona 3 AND 4... I bought both of them, an I've been hooked... I think this makes up for it, though

Spoiler: The art of food weaponry
My first thought upon arriving was: “Why on earth would Wright go to a place such as this?”

Detective Skye had joined me fairly quickly, and was surveying the place, “Mr. Wright said he was killed here?... wow, that’s strange to say…”

“What is?” I asked.

“The dead victim telling us where he was killed… defiantly ranks n the ‘strange meter…’ Ema said, chewing some snackoos.

“You have a point… although it ranks more on the ‘quite near impossible’, if you ask me…” I replied

“Take that, you stupid pigeons!!!” I heard someone shout…

I looked on a nearby bench, and saw an incredibly old man throwing what looked like sunflower seeds at a bunch of pigeons…

“Umm, excuse me sir.” I walked up to him.

The man suddenly switched targets, and I felt pain as more dozen seeds bailed me. “Oww!!!”

I tried to get away, but the old man had gottenup… he was fast for an old guy, “Don’t come near my pigeons again! Only I can tourche him!!!”

My beating continued, until I finally managed to think of a plan. “Detective Skye! Battle Positions! Return Fire IMMEDATLY!”

Ema looked at her snacks “But, my snackoo’s…”

“I
Ll buy you three bags later… just help me…”

“…since you’re buying…” Ema said, and began tossing Snackoos at the old man.

“Oww!” The old man said, and he relented off of me.

They stared each other down, hands ready at their weapons of choice. I could have sworn I saw a tumbleweed blow by…

“Skye Style! Dozen Chocolate brand snackoo. barrage! Rapid fire!” Ema said, and threw 12 snackoos at once.

The old man was more flexible then I would have given him credit for, because he swated them away. “I see, a fellow thrower of the food arts, I see… Kudo style, Infinite ammo seed storm…”

Kudo stopped mid preparation, And seemed to actually look at Skye… he blushed, “Ah.. my apologizes, miss…”

“…Ema Skye, Police Detecive, Forensics expert.”
“We’re here to ask some questions…”
The old man ignored me… witch made me mad…
Ema repeated the question…

“Ask away. My name is Victor Kudo, by the way…”

“There was a murder here recently… would you know anything about this.” Ema asked

Kudo seemed shocked, “So… that’s what I saw last night?

The chapter, The Art of Food Weaponry, was the best! :godot: Ema v. Kudo = epic battle. That was a really good idea putting Kudo in. :igarashi:

Annoying old man or not, the old man had my undivided attention, “You witnessed the murder?”

The old man refused to listen to me. He was staring at Ema, trying to conceal his gaze.
“Detective, I believe he has a crush on you…” I said… feeling a little Calisto Yew, keeping in my laughter.

“What... do you want me to do, then?” Ema asked.

“You’re a woman, you have charms. Use them.” I said, hoping to get the investigation going again.

“What? You mean… no way… nope.”
“Ema…”
“I CAN’T HEAR YOU!! LALALALALALALALA!!!!” Ema said, putting her ears to her head.

“I WILL BUY YOU FIVE BAGS OF SNACKOO’S LATER!!!” I shouted,louder than Ema’s voice.

She stopped shouting and looked at me, “5… on top of the three you already owe me?”

I promised her I would.

“… fine… I’ll do my best…” Ema said, and went back to Kudo. “SO I hear you witnessed a nasty murder?”

Like a fly to honey, Kudo was trapped. “Umm… that was very bad… I’m sorry I told you…”

“Oh, but I’m really interested in murders… they really make me feel hot inside you know?”

Kudo gulped, “Shall… shall I tell you more then?”

Ema looked at me with deep loathing, but said, “Sure, every detail!”

Kudo nodded eagerly, “Fine… but I don’t want that annoying man here. Tell him to leave.”

I gave him a glare, but decided that would be best. I walked away.

I entered a café nearby, and ordered a hamburger while I sat down. That’s when my cell phone rang.

“…It was a man I thought I recognized.” I hear through the phone, “But I wasn’t exactly sure of it.”

“Really?” Ema’s voice said, trying to sound interested, “Who was the killer? What did he look like?”

“Not he, my dear. She. I saw a young, cute looking woman… I can’t really remember the details…”

“Oh, but won’t you try?” Ema said. There was movement, and Kudo gasped…

“Umm…ummm… oh… she had long hair, not sure what color.She was very slender. I didn’t see her eyes, thank goodness. She had a large steak knife in her hand.

“Did anything happen before she stabbed him?”

They talked for a second… this was before the knife, of course… then the woman… kissed him, and then stabbed him…”

“Very interesting…” Ema said. “Here’s my number… If you remember anything else, I’d LOVE to chat with you again, kay?”

My hamburger arrived. I took a bite…


“WHAT IN THE NAME OF-“ I said, and started chocking. I spat it out, and gulped down some coffe… whew… AGHHH, I’M DYING!!!!!” I shouted and started gagging…

Ema walked in and noticed me, “… is the food that bad?...” She pulled out a bottle of water.

Without waiting, I snatched it and chugged the whole thing.

“Thank you, detective… you saved my life… You deserve a raise for you extra work…”

“Extra Work… what do you.”

I stood up, “Your middle button is undone… shall we, detective? We have a lead?”

There shall now be a contest: WHo is the murder?? FIrst one to get it right wins...I dunno...a spot in my next fanfic, witch I'm fleshing out...

Well, as for my guess... I would stick with the obvious girl that comes to mind. However... I have another person in mind. I mean, there are objections to both of my guesses, but I imagine I can only stick with one, so...

Spoiler: The real murderer is... (rather long) (contains T&T spoilers near the end)
The real murderer is Lana Skye.

What I have to back up this theory is the following:
- Phoenix states the voice sounded familiar to him, but he couldn't quite place it. He obviously knew it, but it sounded distant. Since he hadn't spoken with Lana Skye in ages, it's a possibility that the voice was hers.
- Kudo's description can apply to Lana (a female, slender, long hair). While "young" might evoke a thought of someone younger than Lana's 20 years, if Kudo wasn't sure of the hair color, it meant it was dark at the moment, and he could have seen it wrong. Also, he's senile. Oh, wait, that was just my sudden rush of anger towards him. Sorry. Moving on...
- The killer kissed Wright before stabbing him. It could have been a gesture of thanks. After all, despite the fact she was convicted on a trial for forging evidence, 1-5 shows that Wright helped her and Ema, and at least for that, she's grateful.
- In chapter 3, the list of people that were recently released from prison after being convicted includes Lana Skye. This gives something of a motive (grudge), even though small compared to what Wright helped her with.
- Being a prosecutor, the art of forging evidence must have become known to her, so she should be able to forge something, like the knife with Mr. Eldoon's fingerprints.

Of course, there are very severe objections to that. How would she know about the keys? Does she have a motive for overkill, or even killing in the first place? How would she get to know Mr. Eldoon and pin the murder on him?

So, obviously, there would be a better choice: Dahlia Hawthorne. She fits in quite perfectly, actually: matches Kudo's testimony, DEFINITELY has a grudge and motive for overkill, knows where Wright lives (probably) and could forge the evidence, being the criminal mastermind she is. Additionally, as to the question of whom might have channeled her, I could say someone like Pearl, that is not in the story, only mentioned to be training with Iris. She might have channeled her while training, since she remembered Morgan's letter and all, that Dahlia is a friend, or something of the sort. Of course, this theory also has objections: how did she know about the key? How could she know Eldoon? Also, if Wright had heard her voice, I'd doubt he wouldn't recognize it: despite the years that passed, her voice must have made too much of an impression on him to say it's just "familiar somehow".

And yeah, that's the logic. It's probably flawed somewhere, but I stick with Lana Skye as my choice.

Lana Skye? As a murderer? I hope that's not the way the story happens.

As we headed outside the café, I vowed to send in the health inspector… but that wasn’t really a priority, as of now.

I had to concentrate on the known facts. Wright said the voice sounded familiar, and it was a young woman… or so Kudo says, and young would be a sporting forty… therefore, I could not count the age as relevant to my case, at least for now.

As I was pondering this, I heard a crack, and my back seared with pain.
“MILES!” Came Franziska’s voice, and she appeared out from nowhere. She flailed her whip like a madwoman . “HOW-DARE-YOU-DISGRACE-ME-BY-LEAVING-BEFORE-COURT-IS-OVER!”

“Ow…ow…OWWWWW! Enough!” I said, dodging the last of her strikes. “We have a few new leads” I said, and quickly explained what I had just learned.

She paused, and I could see the gears whirring in her head. “A woman, with long hair, whose voice sounded familiar? That isn’t exactly the best of leads.

We began walking past the fruit park. “Well, It’s all we have at this moment.” I said, “I think it would be best to return to where we…

Huff…. Huff… huff….

My skin crawled… what was this… incredibly chilling breath that I heard.

I heard the voice before I felt it, “You look like you could use a pay loan…”

From right behind me stood a teenage woman, “AM I correct? She asked. She had long black hair, a little short of stature… and an incredibly creepy arua.

I strummed up some courage, “I am just fine... um…”

“Cadervini… Viola Cadervini… what about you, young miss… you look like you could use some coffee… and a loan.

Serious alarm bells rang. Cadervini?... surely she couldn’t be the granddaughter of Bruce Cadervini… not that I was going to ask, of course.

Ema stammered out, “I’m perfectly fine… thanks…”

Viola shrugged, “Just remember… if there is a problem, tender lender will always be there to help… huff.. hee hee… huff…

I walked away at a brisk pace.

Ema was right next tom me… that couldn’t have been.. . HIS granddaughter… could it?”
“I was thinking along the same lines…

“Well you see, I remember reading a case that Mr. Wright took… she was mentioned…”

“It might be worth the trouble… look into it. Could you help, Fransizka?”

The two girls nodded and walked away.

For a while, I was just walking around trying to place the pieces together… there was so little I didn’t know…

When I came too, I was at people park. I looked around, and did a double take.

A woman was standing straight, staring at the moon. She wore an old military jackect… the jacket… only one person I knew had that jacket… and that posture. She was used to giving commands…

“Mrs. Skye, I presume?” I said, from a ways back.

Lana Skye turned around to look at me. “You… Edgeworth?”

I approve of the chapter's title. As for the content... wow. I can't believe I missed Viola as a possible suspect. I might have gone over it, but I had my own objections to the theory and it was discarded. But she has a motive! She loved Tigre, and Phoenix got him on jail... yet there are some parts where she doesn't fit. She has no reason to kiss Phoenix, she wouldn't know about the secret keys or of Mr. Eldoon, unless she had been on a stalking routine. Which I guess it is possible. Also, it surprises me she still has a job. I thought Tender Lender dissapeared when Tigre was arrested? Maybe I was just wrong. And there's the fact I don't believe she could kill someone in cold blood. She could poison them, but not killing with a large steak knife... wait, that knife...

Spoiler: Small piece of theory
I noticed that the large steak knife mentioned by Kudo doesn't match the small wounds found on Phoenix's dead body. I mean, if it was large, then we would expect bigger wounds. Either that wasn't the real scene of the crime or the person didn't stab strongly enough to pierce with the whole weapon. If that is true, then one more point to Viola. I'm not going to enter on the first hyphotesis because it'd be much longer to theorize something over that. Anyway.


...I'm probably a bit irritating for doing that, so sorry about this. :knock-knock:
