to me it simply means that you wont get a star on your trainer chart for getting the 5 golden leafs
wether the Contests return
or they make something new ONCE again which is clearly a step forward

Isn't it just because everything's now in 3D? To be honest, I don't know how the new graphics system is going to pan out, but having Pokemon follow you was a genius idea that made me 'awww' every other step.

The green dinosaur is a green mixture of Cyndaquill, Aron and other dinosaur-ish Pokémon. Pretty uninspired, but the rest are pretty good. Specially the chipmunk.
The green thing with that creature inside looks familiar... it kiiiinda rings Cacnea bells to me. Just a bit.

As I recall, Roost seems to play a role in flying types always being dual-typed (at least, since gen IV). Since the move itself nullifies the flying-type of the Pokemon, the Pokemon needs another type or it will become "type-less", as in not having any weaknesses or resistances. And since Pokemon is itself based on the whole rock-paper-scissors dynamic with types, it's actually somewhat game breaking.
If you want to think of it design-wise, I suppose it's because most birds have additional characteristics aside from being able to fly, and they can't fly all the time, either.

...Can't the pokemon just not learn Roost? Besides, Roost's only been around semi-recently... And design-wise, would some sort of wind elemental be too much of a stretch to make? Or something else that could be pure Flying?

But I was saying that most the birds in the game are flying/normal. It doesn't have to learn roost, like bubs said.
I am just fed up of the main birds being flying/normal. Flying/Fighting would be interesting.

But I agree, since generation 4 mostly all got worse
I still like the pokemon there and to play it (also online) but I'd more love to see a ds remake of ruby and sapphire

I heard about Wargle when I heard the Japanese name, Wooguru, or something to that extent. ((Not quite sure the exact spelling...)) The Romanization of that is Wargle. It's entirely possible they can change it, but they've had plenty of PKMN names in English as just the Romanized forms before.
