Ok, so I'm just about to beat Final Fantasy 7 for the first time I'm at the last boss of the second disc.
Yes I'm 16 and I havent beat FF7 yet. I know, I'm 16 and I havent beat FF7 yet. Sue me, I'm 16 and havent beat FF7 yet.
But still, i need some advice, no lawsuits intact.
Is it better for me to watch Final Fantasy Advent Children or Advent Children complete to continue the FF7 story? What is the difference between the two movies and is it even worth watching?

Thanks :)

Its a terrible movie that retcons some of the more satisfying parts of VII's ending, turns Cloud into a mopey whiny bitch, and is essentially DBZ with final fantasy characters in terms of its fight scenes.

Its a good looking cg movie though.

I haven't seen Complete, but from what I've heard there's like a half hour more to it or something. I wouldn't shell out a bunch of extra cash for one over the other, but between the two I guess you should pick Complete. The story is a bit lacking, but the fight scenes are nice to look at. Like DBZ, as the previous poster said, except without twenty minutes of charging or gasping at the previous attack per half hour.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is meh in terms of plot, but the action scenes make it worth watching.

Now if only they could do such a thing for Final Fantasy VI and not ruins my precious memories of the game while they're at it.

Advent children is a sequel to the FF7, so it would be better to beat the game before watching the movie if you want to understand whats going on.

Yes you should beat the game before watching Advent Children, because I think it'll spoil some things otherwise. It takes place after 7 anyway so there's no reason not to watch them in order.

I thought AC sucked and no one should bother watching it, but if you're going to continue playing the other compilation games (CC and DoC) you might as well, since it's version of events are canon now, I suppose.

Redundant poster is redundant. :) (whoa! that worked in more ways then one!)

Anyways, I would definitely beat FF7 first. There are some things you need to know in the ending before going on to the sequels. I personally didn't think Advent Children was that bad (It was a helluva lot better than "Spirits Within" *shudders*), the story IS lacking in a lot of places, but the visuals are good and the basic plot is worth looking into. Plus, you get to see all the characters reunite and just act totally badass. :edgy:

Why are people paying to watch it, you can find it online. Bad quality, of course, but still. I borrowed a friend's DVD for Advent Children, then heard about Complete, and watched it online. The difference, it's got a lot of extra scenes in it, I enjoyed it; I'm a big fan of Zack Fair and he appeared in a few more scenes and cameos than Advent Children.

I agree, the plot's not great, but I think it's worth watching, the graphics and fight scenes are really cool. Everyone's good looking too, of course.

IIRC there's nothing special about Advent Children Complete other than bland additions to an already bland plot.

Either AC movie is worth watching for Tifa alone but yeah, loads of OTT action too.

(Also, I only beat FF7 about a month ago, and I'm 18!)

Watch the movie for the action scenes and Japanese voice-acting. I don't know about CC but Dirge of Cerberus isn't worth pl *shot*
