There's nothing wrong with Under the Knife, except for the fact they really improved a lot since that game. But it's still a good choice to start with.

If you're looking gameplay/story wise, Trauma Team is the game. 6 different unique gameplays, interesting plot, multiplayer, it gives you a lot of value.
Another great choice would be Trauma Center: New Blood. For me it was the most challenging, great gameplay although there is only surgery.

My first TC game was Second Opinion, which is an all-time favorite of mine now, so I would recommend it for the fun characters and improved mechanics (compared to Under the Knife).

Although Trauma Team was made in Japan, it was released in America and developed in America. And I as I am the ultimate crazy bitch, I have HOSPITAL. 6人の医師 (Japanese version of Trauma Team) and the speech times are the same. Logically, they can't change programming at this point - they can translate it. So the VAs had to have a time limit to record a certain line.
...And I have a pre-order for Trauma Team in Europe.

While that WOULD be best, I'm afraid the problem is that I can only probably buy one, and it will be quite a while until I get the others, if at all. Trauma Team seems to give the best in itself, alone, so that's probably going to be my purchase.

So, because I have no life, I went back to the Japanese website and fiddled around with everything (since the website is flash, I can't rely on Rikai for kanji translation, so I can barely read anything XD) aaand the Special stuff page has this video of someone being briefed through the operation by someone else and whenever the guy operating would say something, there'd be a funny CR-S01 face to accompany it. I lol'd.
There's also some strange feature about RONI, but I can't understand the directions, so I'm confuzzled.

He asked what a C meant in terms of the score and the other guy's says "..... I-IT'S OKAY. It's your first time after all..." and he's just all "Lulz I suck

Also, I'm thinking of going back to New Blood and re-doing the X-missions (I never got past Cheir... and I forgot what it looks like.) Anyone got a least favorite Stigma?

I really dislike Brachion. He wasn't the hardest, but it was annoying just to see him.
Hehe, the X-Operations can be much easier if you have a second person with you. Even if they're terrible at the game, you can have them be your syringe slave. Just to keep up the vitals.

The story will focus on Stephen Baron and Melissa Levinson, two veteran doctors with the Healing Touch. Stephen Baron has the traditional Time Slow Healing Touch, but Melissa has a new one - Remeplurpa (Rememdium Plurimus Palam = Cure Most In Sight) - upon use, it will treat about 75% of the things in sight - such as if the vitals are really low, lots of inflammations, lots of lacerations etc, using it will cure almost all of them.
And at this point, Rosalia has not been eliminated - it remains a normal virus like influenza now - however, there are new strains.
The one in Trauma Team (not Twisted Rosalia, the one in Stolen Memories) is called Rossellini,
and there will be five new strains -
Monogyna (Hawthorn = Hope)
Vulgare (Fennel = Strength)
Veris (Cowslip = Divinity)
Potentilla (Cinquefoil = Beloved Daughter [referencing Rosalia herself]
Lucerne (Lucerne = Life)

Wow, I finally played some New Blood today (co-op of course... then my brother ditched me and I was on my own. Jerk.) and I now fail at the defibrillator. It's TOO easy in Trauma Team to time the defibrillator, so it was jarring to come back and see the meter going at the speed of light. I feel that taking glass shards out is easier in New Blood, though-- it doesn't give you a grade (cool, good, bad) until you put the glass piece on the tray.
And I don't care if that man is on fire or if that's the fire alarm. Skin grafts can go shishkabob themselves. *growl*

The idea came to me in a dream.
On first signs, there will be lacerations in sight.
Once sutured, the traditional hand bruise appears, convulsions, and five or more worms with a Rosalia growth on them appear. They are not colour-coded, and as they travel through the organ before surfacing, they will create lacerations and sometimes gashes. They will surface randomly. You have to inject the vasoconstrictor (blue vial), and then the sodium hypochlorite to de-activate it. You then have to ultrasound the area, and then pull it out like a wire, then place it on the tray. [DEFEAT]. Suture the laceration, and one has been removed. Once all have been removed, the hand will largen, squeezing the organ, causing vitals to go to 20, and the 'king' Monogyna appears. This one has three Rosalia growths, and you have a limited time to remove it. If you fail, max vitals drop by 10 each time. Once removed, that's it - the bruise vanishes. [DEFEAT].
This is basically the Kyriaki Rosalia.

THAT WASN'T IN THE GAME. FAWK. Why didn't they put that in!? It's so awesome, and ze glowing hands are so mesmerizing. And I've always been creeped out by the fact that Rosalia looks like a black claw around the organ in surgery mode... O.o

I've had them play once, and then fade out as the next one fades in.
I'm going to do the same with the Path of Honor.
Can you please see if it's OK? I have the OST has a mix CD on my way to work (2 hours drive), and now I can't fit all four tracks on.
And it shortens the 12+ minutes to 5.

Last year at Anime Expo, parts of that cutscene were shown in the trailer that kept looping, and I realized a few weeks ago that it was never in the game. I wish the cutscene made it in 8[

HIS HAIR...! IT SHOWS EMOTION! XD That comic is pure genius.... Even though it was only audio, that was one of my favorite clips in the entire game. Right behind the Tierape scenes

It determines which one of the Trauma Team you are. I think.
Oh, and, fun fact. Trauma Team was originally going to be a Trauma Center New Blood sequel.

A New Blood sequel, huh? I would have liked it, and hated it. If they made it, there would have been no Trauma Team. But if they did, they'd have made a sequel of my previous favorite TC game.
