Excuse me while I interrupt, but I think the problem one might have with the Hatpollo "humping" is that it would look less like humping if the head moved more rather than the body moving more. The original sprite Mitsunyan made actually did a better job of looking less like humping, but it's head, as said, is a little too short. A mix of the longer head and the more noticeable bobbing head would come off better, IMO.
Anyway, I just want to say I'm excited for this project and am looking forward to the release of the first case!

Well, I can't really speak as to what PwLIB can and can't do (for me, it always crashed maybe 5 minutes into Damion Shard), but I can speak to what PyWright is capable of, since I'm helping Saluk with coding and bugfixing. From what I understand, the two are largely comparable. I don't know the mechanics of your switch system, but if it just involves taking the first person perspective of another character (a la controlling Edgeworth in T&T), that's easily done in PyWright. PyWright is also customizable - SilentBob wrote a chess game into his first case.
I'm not trying to sell you on PyWright, I just wouldn't immediately write it off, especially if nothing's been coded. I would try each engine out from a player's perspective and see what you think. Like I mentioned, I think the single biggest advantage of PyWright is its multiplatform compatibility, and using it would put you in good graces with your nonWindows fans.
