And what a story it is! I've already spoiled myself to practically every detail so far! And it almost makes me wish I didn't because there's some amazing stuff that goes on!
I have no idea what the fuck is going on, really. I'm just taking a shot in the dark and walking blindly to the next location, then stuff happens and I win a battle and I continue on.
Team Plasma looked like it was all Nazism up in Isshu though, which is quite different to all the previous Team's that just seemed to already be already established before the games started.

A lot of the designs are nice, I am disapointed with Firepigs final evo but i'll still take it... and I noticed there seem to be many fighting pokemon this time around, or is it just me? Meh, whatever. CANT WAIT FOR UK RELEASE. INFACT MAY ORDER FROM AMERICA...

This is what I plan on having for a team, not for beating the Elite 4 mind you, 2 of those are unobtainable until at least postgame.

So far, it's really good. As someone who hasn't played Pokemon since Red and Blue, it felt like a fresh new start. Brand new pokemon, a darker story than I imagined, and I'm digging the new interface. Not to mention it's beautiful. It still has that familiar formula though, which is good for me since I still wanted to play Pokemon rather than something with just the name plastered on it.
LySs: You're in luck. Yorterrie is one of the first two wild pokemon you'll encounter. haha

THIS is what my team will likely end up being, I'm not getting Smugleaf as a starter because I'd rather catch it in the Dream World, where its new ability Perversity will turn it into quite the fearful force. Basically it reverses stat changes. So if I had one and it used Leaf Storm, then instead of its Special Attack decreasin two stages, it would INCREASE two stages. Which means for starters I went for the next best thing, the water one.
The rest are just good ones that are pretty easy to get.

As for the Fire Starter, it's based on this Chinese legend called Journey to the West. Which is the same legend that Infernape is based off of, which would explain it being the third Fire/Fighting in a row. I still think it's lazy on Game Freak's part but it's certainly more tolerable now.
Now Smugleaf's evo I was only upset about because of its weird color, which is not so bad when you consider that snakes can shed their skin.
So yeah, I can be a nostalgia freak too sometimes.
