Season finale. Absolutely brilliant. I couldn't have expected more from the series even though it wasn't as good as the 2nd one.

I love how they concluded Martha and still made it possible for her to return again. She was an amazing character who filled her role perfectly.

As you can tell I'm actually satisfied for once.

I am way unsatisfied.
The Doctor, a wibbling state, Martha "knew" that dr whositsface would betray her, Captain Jack Harkness is the FACE OF BOE!?

WTF?

Also, The Titanic? Are they going to claim the Tardis sunk the Titanic in the Christmas special? And where do the aliens we have been waiting for ALL DAMN SERIES come into that?!
Apart from the Daleks, the only non-earthly aliens in the series, the Toclafane, turn out to be HUMANS!

I'm disgusted. AND how the hell did them thinking "Doctor" trigger satelite frequency, that the Doctor had miraculously tuned into, cause him to rejeuvenate and fly?!
AND they have forever written the Master out of the series!

WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?! ;_;

Those are good points and I'm way too lazy to even TRY to dispute them except...

It's willpower! The Doctor was rejeuvenating all that time but he needed the trust of the people and moral!

But how did he get into the frequency of the satellites, and how dd their thoughts get into the frequency of the satellites?

And a continuity error!

They got back to normal AFTER the president was assassinated, but before the Toclafane arrived?

1. The toclafane were the ones that assassinated the president. They have already been seen.
2. Why did Lucy shoot him? No explanation.
3. There was no blood on the Master in the clip after he was shot.
4. How do they explain the disappearence of a Prime Minister?
5. Why didn't water come rushing into the tardis after it hit the Titanic?
6.If the explanation to (5) is that it hit the top, as I think it did, WHY don't Rose (the titanic one, not tyler) and Jack (the titanic one, not Harkness) see a weird blue police box on the front, IN THE FILM?

eheh, Yea I got issues, WHAT?

1. They meant arrived on Earth silly. Remember when the wife was looking with the Master?

2. It's pretty clear if you think. She wanted to get close to him to kill him by being his wife... maybe. Or maybe it'll say in the next series.

3. Yeah but they can't show blood. For the children. Besides he's an alien.

4. They're obviously not going to leave it at that. We haven't seen much of Earth after the incident so we don't know.

5. I may be wrong but wasn't it stuck in? No water could get in if it filled the hole it made.

6. It'll be explained, obviously. And whose to say it isn't a ship with the same name. That was BEFORE the actual Titanic.

1. ...
...
yes...
The "toclafane" killed the president, on TV. The arrived back the year before, after the president was killed, meaning the toclafane have already been seen by everyone watching TV... even after time rectifies itself.

2. I see... But when she married him, he was the lovable Harry Saxon, everyone's favourite MP.

3. They can't show blood? I'm sure they've had blood before. Heck they've had massive lizard things with lazarus' head but not blood?

4. yes, I guess.

5. Same as above.

6. It's the same Titanic. They wouldn't do a fake.

1. Can't really argue with that. They even said the president was dead.

2. I think I saw her red nails on the ending. I'm sure all will be explained.

3. Blood is realistic. Lazarus head is like a kiddy baddy.

6. Like with 2. I'm sure we'll see next time.

Cool. As long as it doesn't involve evil santas, spinning christmas trees of doom and Donna Nobel, I'm happy.

No ^^''. I just meant that just because it doesn't have those things that doesn't mean you're happy. The last episode didn't make you happy after all.

Yea, but from a season finalé, you're bound to expect more aren't you? As a normal episode, it would have been awesome, but, it just lacked the Doctor and his witty persona.

Christmas specials have been nothing to go by! So seriously, as long as it has no Evil santas or Xmas trees or Donna Nobel, I'm happy!

Well if you say so, and you're right. But I also think you expect too much just because it's Doctor Who. If it was some mediocre show, you'd be impressed.

What, there was maniacal laughter then? I must re-watch this and see.

Maybe, before he died, he put his energy into that ring, and she picked it up and has the master in the ring, from where he can take over another body.

or something.

Oh goodness me no....

Captain jack=Face of Boe was sooo cool.
I only got to see 2 episodes in the WHOLE series!!! And a tiny bit of the end of the one before the finale.

The finale was cool but I was annoyed the Master died....

Jack cannot die, he is a fact, an impossible thing, yet Boe died in Gridlock. A BLATANT CONTRADICTION! Oops, too much PW.

And the Master will be back. The hand picking up the Master's ring, there is more to that than we have been told. I think he has stowed his energy in that ring, and will use it to take over another body in a future episode.

Catherine Tate accepts proposal to star in fourth series.

Catherine Tate is set to return to the TARDIS for the complete 13 week run of Series Four of Doctor Who.

Award winning comedian Tate will reprise her role as Donna, the runaway bride from last year's Christmas special, despite turning down the Doctor's invitation to travel with him at the end of that adventure.

When Catherine was asked if she would like to become The Doctor's new companion at the press screening of The Runaway Bride, she replied, "I would love to, but no one has asked!" Well, now they have.

"Catherine was an absolute star in The Runaway Bride and we are delighted that one of Britain's greatest talents has agreed to join us for the fourth series," announced Doctor Who's executive producer and head writer, Russell T Davies. "Viewers can expect more ambitious storylines and a whole host of guest stars in 2008."

Catherine Tate added : "I am delighted to be returning to Doctor Who. I had a blast last Christmas and look forward to travelling again through time and space with that nice man from Gallifrey."

Freema Agyeman who has played Martha Jones, The Doctor's companion throughout the critically acclaimed third series, will return to the show to join The Doctor and Donna mid series.

I was no big fan of Donna as a companion, so I'm not too thrilled about this.

About Last of the Time Lords: it was an OK episode IMHO, not a fantastic episode. Some part were cool, like Martha roaming the earth, the relevation about Jack and the 'death' of the Master, but parts like how they made the Doctor into mini-Gollum and how the Doctor turned back were rather bad...

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, Series 3 started over here on Sci-Fi just this past Friday.

But I didn't mind Catherine Tate that much. Why? Because I have free will.

She was MUCH less annoying near the end, she's even a bit perceptive. (I mean, deciding to look at the big picture more in life and telling the doctor he needs someone to stop him shows real character development :3)

Also, Jack could be the face of Boe. Jack isn't immortal, he just has so much energy from the Heart of TARDIS that he can't die. The face of Boe/Jack lives for SO LONG and dies that often the energy inside him dissipates and he dies. Plus, the Face of Boe calls the Doctor an Old friend, If Boe was seperate, he only met him 3 times, hardly an old one.

But the last ep. was a bit dissapointing. I wanted the Doctor and the Master to FIGHT! XD
