So, I have a business project, and I'm required to survey people on their preferences in Video Game stores, and I figured that since you guys are gamers you might be able to help. If you can, please fill this survey out HONESTLY and put it up here. If you do manage to complete it, I'll give you guys... umm... aha! A personalized poem/ story/ speech thing on whatever subject you like best! So, yeah, go fill in the survey, and put the subject and kind of written essay thing you want done. And thanks to all of you guys in advance!

Would you pay to get a chance to test brand new games for up to half an hour?: Not games because with the downloadable content on the new systems, you can play the demos at home for free. I might pay to play a demo of a new system or peripheral (e.g. DJ Hero, Rock Band, etc.)

Gaming habits: Very casual about things. But when I get a new game I play it obsessively, like every single hour I'm awake.
Gaming preference: Seeing as I only have Nintendo consoles, only stuff from them, usually almost anything related to any series I've played before, or whatever's popular and easy to me. But mostly Platformers.

What features would you like to see in a video game store (cheap, online shopping, game testing, recommendations, etc.): Better and more accessories. (ie. Good quality headphones, styli, etc.).

Would you pay to get a chance to test brand new games for up to half an hour?: Depends on the game and when it's actually going to be released.

How much?: No more than 10 dollars.

How much would you expect to pay for a brand-new game: DS Games: 25-35 dollars. Wii games: 35-50 dollars.

Gaming habits: I will get angry at story mode on games but I am pretty calm during Matchmaking matches. Games that I buy new are the ones I play the most but I will forget about them when I buy a new one. I like to go back and play games that are my favorites.

What features would you like to see in a video game store (cheap, online shopping, game testing, recommendations, etc.): Cheap, online shopping, old systems and games, fair trading prices and friendly services.

Would you pay to get a chance to test brand new games for up to half an hour?: Why not?

How much?: $5

How much would you expect to pay for a brand-new game:
PS3 - $60

Gaming habits: I play when I have the time, which means less than I used to. XD Lately I've been tending to play handheld games much more than console games.
Gaming preference: RPGs, Adventure, Strategy

What features would you like to see in a video game store (cheap, online shopping, game testing, recommendations, etc.): Preorder gifts, reasonable prices, pre-tested used games, employees who give good recommendations, and of course actually having the games I want. XD

Would you pay to get a chance to test brand new games for up to half an hour?: No, unless I got paid. >:D

How much would you expect to pay for a brand-new game: $30 for handheld and $50 for console (I don't like paying $60 for brand new console games)

Gaming habits: I play video games every day, occasionally hours at a time, but I restrict my buying to probably one or two games every few months unless I have a lot of scratch on me. I no longer blow money on a game before doing some serious research and meditation.
Gaming preference: I'll play any game if the selling points are convincing enough, but I lean more in favor of rhythm, adventure, action-adventure, and platforming games.

What features would you like to see in a video game store: Upfront customer testing of pre-owned games, consoles, and peripherals. I would feel comfortable knowing what the quality of my potential purchase is before making my final decision.

Would you pay to get a chance to test brand new games for up to half an hour?: It would depend on whether I could afford the cost.

How much?: Whatever the store charges for testing, although like I said earlier it would depend on whether I could afford to pay what they charge.

How much would you expect to pay for a brand-new game: Whatever the publishers, developers, and manufacturers decide will help them break even the cost-production value of the game.

Gaming habits: Play everyday. Something spend hours playing, sometimes only minutes. I am not too good with challenging ones (even though I love them) and often rely on walkthroughs to get me to the end of the game. Buy games whenever I feel like it. Only purchase highly reccomended games by good companies or sequels to games I already own.
Gaming preference: Platformers, puzzles, action, story-based (like Phoenix Wright and Last Window), Strategy, RPGs

What features would you like to see in a video game store (cheap, online shopping, game testing, recommendations, etc.): Heaps of demos, gaming merchandise, more limited edition/ Japan only/rare games, people servicing who know what they're talking about and frequent game-related events and competitions.

Would you pay to get a chance to test brand new games for up to half an hour?:Yes, if it was a good game in question.

How much?: Up to $20

How much would you expect to pay for a brand-new game: Between $30-$50 for handhelds and between $40-$80 for consoles. Less for crapier ones.
