Falcon Punch is no meme
it is an actual attack
but I'd love to play it for its music

which brings us to the next topic
What is your favorite old school ost?
I can not say a whole one but the Jungle Jam is plain awesome and manliness

on the other side do I love the Whole MGS1 OST
yeah, Harry-Gregoson Williams FTW

oh
Mega Man 2
BEST OST EVAH (after MGS)

Who says it can't be both? But yeah, F-Zero always had epic music.

Favorite old school OST would have to be... hmm... while I agree that both of those OSTs are quite good, I'd have to say that one of the best old-school OSTs, imo, would be the LOZ:OOT OST, though all I can seem to find is the two arranged albums...

Super Smash Bros. Melee kicked ass. I always used to play either Peach or Zelda a lot of times. There were so many characters to play with and so much to do. I found it really clever and one of the best games around.

Puchi Carat (ps1) This game had really pretty graphics. They kept the Japanese voices but the translations on the ps1 version is a bit crap but for the lovely graphics it's worth it. The Gameboy version has better dialougue.

Magical Drops (Gameboy Colour) Simular to Puchi Carat but a fun game.

Pacman rocks!

I also liked the harry potter games when I played them, on Playstation 1.

I love Bugs Bunny and Taz: Time Busters - I still play that sometimes. I like the graphics and music to it.

I also loved Tuff E Nuff (it was named Dead Dance in japan). It's a game for SNES. I liked the plot and the characters, but I wish there was a sequel. It had a lot of potential. The main boss is kinda cheap, but the other characters are awesome. The music is fantastic.

I also liked Lethal Weapon on Snes. I used to be a huge fan of Lethal Weapon when I was younger.

Melee was awesome, still is, kinda. ((But I still ask, WHY'D THOSE BASTARDS GET RID OF MEWTWO?! AND THEN REPLACE HIM WITH THAT AURA MONSTROSITY?!))

Kinda wish I'd heard of or played the others, though... well, minus Pac-man and Bugs Bunny. ((I believe I had a Taz game for the Genesis, can't remembe what it was, though...))

Not just in games man
IN YOUR MSN.

The best OST of an old game Would be, for my personal preference, Crash Team racing. It has such nice and cheery tunes that fit so good along with the characters and racetracks.
Just love it.
But for 'seriously good music', ((Not just cheery stuff)) I would side with Bubs here and go with the LOZ:OOT Ost. AMAZING stuff. Still have my gamecube version~

As for meelee, loved that. I remember the excitement of unlocking the charcaters. I unlocked like 5 in one day
I remember playing TONS of matches to get mewtwo...so friggin happy when I did. Man, I have to go play melee now. MEWTWO, YOUNG LINK FTW. TOON LINK BOO.

although the riddance of ratty pichu was good. It can be useful but the downside is it hurts itself. When I saw that in-game i was like, 'for serious? REALLY?!'

Master Quest? That somehow seemed to make the game harder AND easier at the same time?

Seconded. Still haven't forgiven Nintendo for replacing Mewtwo... and replacing Young Link with what was essentially a stupider looking version of the same character... But yeah, I've got no problem with getting rid of Pichu, same with Dr. Mario. Can't really say much about Roy, though...

Yeah. I got my mariokart double dash from a second hand game shop, and it had two disks, although I paid for one.
The second disk Is 'The Zelda collection' and has

legend of zelda
legend of zelda 2, links awakening
Ocarina of time
Majoras mask
Wind Waker

When I saw that i was just like, 'FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUCK YES.'
and MK:DD wasnt played until a week after, heh heh.

That game. Is awesome. <3 And really good-looking for its time (it still is though) as well.

EDIT: Oh you were talking about the N64 game, Yoshi's Story. Never mind then, I never liked that. :I

I play games from that era a lot more than I do modern ones. Since listing all of them would take forever I'll just list the highlights.

I'm assuming the PS1 fits into this also, and that's where a lot of this comes from.
Chrono Trigger SNES, although I didn't play it until the PS1,
Chrono Cross PS1
I don't know if it counts since I didn't play them until the Gamecube release, but Mega Man 1-6 on NES.
Mega Man Legends 1, 2 and Misadventures of Tron Bonne on the PS1.
Final Fantasy Tactics on PS1
And all the Game Boy color Pokemon games.
I know, a lot of PS1 in there, but that was my first console, and plus if the GBA counts, this definitely counts.

Star Fox for the SNES and Star Fox 64 for the N64. They were pretty much the staple games from my childhood. Also Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow for the GameBoy if this counts as well.

Well, Mario. I was obsessed with Super Mario Bros. when I was 6 and I still love it. I used to play that and Duck hunt on my dad's NES. Sometimes we borrowed Super Mario 3 from someone else, but by that age I thought it was too hard. Now I have SMB, SMB2 (the western version), SMB3 and SMW to GBA. The first and SMW are my favourites I think. I prefer playing those to the new ones mainly because I kind of suck at 3D platform games (even though they're funny to watch someone else play). Other than that I haven't played that many old games, but I have a theoretical interest in them and I'm thinking about buying a NES. And... do arcade games count? I was very interested in those, again on a theoretical level, a couple of years ago, and even though I've never gone near an arcade I used to play online versions of them all the time. Frogger and Space invaders were my favourites. :jake:
