As for running mate, von Karma and Lana seem to be the most obvious choices, but I don't know if they'd really be the best ones. Remember, we need to focus on candidates that we can come up with the most original and funny campaign points for. I feel like Gant/Manny would end up sounding a little redundant, and I don't think that Lana's personality lends itself to this project very well.

I that's the goal, then here are my nominations:
Manfred von Karma as Vice President. (If done right, it wouldn't be too redundant, I think. Their characters are very different.)

I think the best one would be Mia. Why?
- she's not corrupted
- she just, charismatic and intelligent
- she will observe Gant's every move and crime
- once she finally gets hit by "The Thinker", she has Phoenix to come forth to reveal evidence against Gant she had gathered and thus put an end to his "tyrannical reign"
- Once it's over, Wrighto may replace Gant

Mike Haggar is trying to push himself as the In your face Goodie-Goodie. Taking the law into his own hands to make the right thing happen. Phoenix lacks that impact. He'd be doing the right thing the right way.
In case someone hasn't said it already someone needs to photo shop Hagger crushing Phoenix's shocked head in.
Now that would be something to see!
If Phoenix was Gant's running mate then he would be in the same situation as Lana before Case 5 in AA which is in basicly being used as a puppet for his own schemes. Oh, sure, Phoenix would fight and try to stand his ground but unless he has someone backing him up like Edgeworth or Maya for example he would cave in eventually. Phoenix fights for what he believes in but in some areas like politics he's still a rookie and Demon Gant out shines him on this one.
As for a vice president we need someone who won't be a pushover! Is it too late to suggest former president nominee Godot? It's not unusual for someone from a failed nominee to team up with the winner and Godot looks like the type that can't be pushed around.

The contest itself will ultimately come down to the creativity and humor of our Top 10 Reasons. Keeping that in mind, here are some of the pros and cons of both canditates:
Phoenix Wright
Obviously Phoenix is the most well known character of the series. He's got a lot to work with, both in character and official art etc. But he's also a little plain.
Damon Gant
Gant is not nearly as well known outside the fandom as Phoenix. But he is pretty damn awesome and everyone loves a villain.

Phoenix: Has a strong sense of Justice, cares about people,and is logical.BUT... He's honest( the bane of politicians), and he's not always persistent enough.
Gant: Easily manipulates people, is good a getting what he wants, and is fun.BUT... he's evil,and is currently either dead or in prison. I guess I'd say phoenix.
Doesn't really matter since the polls over though.
