Krusty's funhouse. Lack of options, weird controls and graphics made me lost and I had no idea what to do. Pretty funny game though.

IMO I think it just that you suck. The only hard part for me is freaken getting to the final dungeon ><. Still haven't beaten it yet. I also have some terrible memory lost on beating any of the dungeons. ex. I pretty sure I remember dieing on the first boss and some how it counted as it being beaten..

This can have SOO many answers. If you go back far enough, pretty much any old school game is pretty difficult. Let's see...I think I'll state a few. These aren't necessarily the hardest I've ever played, just the most memorably frustrating.

Super Mario Kart. 150cc. If that's not enough to trigger your memory, here's the story. You think Mario Kart Wii had cheating AI? This version took the cake. Back then, computer opponents had unique items, and they would only ever use those items, and they would use them ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME. Seriously, they would use more items on one lap than there were item box zones. Their catch up speed was enormous, and on the longer tracks were impossible to stay any relative distance ahead of. Which makes it all the sweeter when you trap them on the jump of that final race in the Mushroom Cup. Mwa ha ha ha!

Soul Calibur 3. I bought this game for one reason and one reason alone: character creation. Seriously, this is an awesome concept. I was so looking forward to building a character and taking him on a quest to get Soul Edge/Calibur...and then I find out I have to beat the Chronicles of the Sword mode first. With only created characters with custom moves you need to figure out. Against impossible opponents at the end. I gave up if you didn't already figure it out.

F-Zero GX. Oh, yeah, I'll say it now and say it proud: I DID beat that Story mode, on all difficulties, by myself. I was going on pure adrenaline at times. Memorizing every single turning point, drifting opportunity, when to take out opponents, and pretty much rocking the hizzouse. Never before had I become so good at a racing game. I'd suck now, of course.

(GBA) Castlevania: Circle of the Moon

(PS3) Demon's Souls (Haven't got too frustrated with this yet)
Let us dye the world in despair, and bring a dismal end to this fairy tale.

I haven't played any of the games mentioned except for FF13 but for me difficulty isn't how hard it is to beat the game but how hard it is to constantly play it to the point where i beat it. Oh and if its not that its controls or gameplay...

Shin Megami Tensei: A very very good game but once i came up to one of the harder bosses my monsters were not strong enough and grinding was just so troublesome. Add in the fact i was part way through PW JFA i really didn't have much time to spare so i gave up on that game.

The World Ends With You: Okay this is possibly the one game that i arguably struggled with. I had a lot of trouble with the final boss in the main story. I was horrible with the controls and could not use them effectively. Pretty much the controls in this game screwed me. I was playing this at the same time as SMT and PW JFA

Final Fantasy 4 (ds): I just could not get used to the real-time battles. I can play final fantasy 13 fine but this... i just could not get used to the mix between real time and turn based battles. And i was not a fan of the art which made the game difficult to play for me =p

No mention of La-Mulana?

You get no help whatsoever in what you're supposed to be doing in the beginning if you didn't read the manual. The game is largely unlinear. Oh, and once you get a bit farther into the game puzzles in one area might solve something in a completely different place. You have no way of knowing where.

Did I mention that bosses will usually manage to kill you in just a few hits?

Well the Mega Man Zero games are noteworthy. I beat the first three and am still working on the fourth. I have a hard time motivating myself to play it when I've been stuck on the final boss for a while now and how long a sequence of battles it is before him. SOME DAY! Still the first three (1 and 2 especially) are incredibly challenging.

I don't own many tough games but there are two really hard ones. Super Mario Galaxy (Had the game for two years. I still have it. And I still haven't beaten it.) and The Dog Island. (Had it for a year and a half. Still have it. Still haven't beaten it.)

I pretty much suck at 2D platformers. I beat the main quest, but I have yet to beat the FIRST level in world 9. And I`ve had that world unlocked for a year!!

The Hitman series, getting Silent Assassin is pretty difficult when you get limited to no saves. My first playthrough of Mass Effect 2 on Insanity was really frustratingly difficult because I was a level one Adept with basically no means to defend myself with.

Metroid Prime 2 low percent run.

That means no missile expansions, no energy tanks, nothing.

Oh, sweet Lord. And I thought the Boost Guardian and Quadraxis were hard enough with full items! :wellington-crazy:

That was soooo friggin difficult. I just called it quits after getting all the way to the final boss and dying about 50 times. It still remains my toughest self-imposed challenge and the hardest game I've played. For anyone that knows Metroid Prime 2, you know how ridiculous this sort of challenge is.

It a game that plays just like Mario, except you play as a cat. It's also called Syobon Action. Clouds can kill you, going down a pipe can kill you, fire flowers kill you, stars kill you, there's a random pedobear in one of the levels that kills you, the goal post can kill you, the floor can randomly fall beneath you, blocks can fall on you, enemies can fall on you, robots can throw you into holes and mushrooms make you get so big you crash through the floor and die.

What's most frustrating is you can't even save the game, so if you want to get to the end you have to do it in one playthrough. It took me hours of non-stop playing to finish it.

If you're interested you can download it here: http://www.pimpmynintendo.com/nintendo-games/cat-mario/ There are also playthroughs on youtube, but they all have annoying commentaries.

Even though I previously finished it, I say Zelda II.

Getting to Thunderbird and Dark Link was quite a tough road...and of course, the part threw me off badly was getting to the secret dropholes in the dungeon. I got stuck at a very particular floor with the dragonheads flying about.

And the ending...THANKS A MILLION. Hah, I guess Zelda wanted to congratulate you dying a million times to beat the game!

The hardest boss was The Pain if you can believe it.

And as far as Plok goes I've never even heard of it.

Super Adventure Island games were hard because I have no idea what you are supposed to do. AT ALL. And I keep dying.

Taiko DS is not hard but thanks to me and my silly "IMA FULL COMBO THIS ON ONI MODE" my DS's buttons are almost unusable, making RPGs slightly harder because those buttons won't function properly sometimes.

I was playing through some old games, because I'm going to sell some for a bit of cash, so I could decide what to keep, if i loved it still. (Most were kept, I'm only getting rid of like, two x3)

Then, I stumbled upon a doosy of a game I completley forgot all about, which I still love. The World ends with you. Man. I love that game, but it is quite hard.
If, like me, you didn't use a walkthrough, TWEWY was kind of difficult just the main sotryline. But with all the pins to collect, the fun doesn't end! It's so effigng difficult to track down all these bloody pins.

I hated Silent Assassin so much. I only ever managed to beat the first mission fairly, and that was after 7 failed attempts. I always seemed to get discovered no matter what I do, even if I just look at one guy funny. I had to shoot my way through the house and very barely made it. Ever since I ragequit on the second level, I've had to play the game with cheats.

Also, I really sucked at Burnout for some reason. This was probably before I figured out how driving games worked, but I never did manage to reach the first checkpoint in time.

Enemy could see the map and your units clearly, whether there's fog or not.
Thank god they fixed that one for the DS games...

There isn't that many games I'd find hard...
I'm not bragging here, there just isn't that many games I've played.
Believe it or not.

Buuuuuut...From those that I've played; I'd list these:
...Not in any particular order.
Spoiler: Game 1.

Are you kidding me?!
The new game modes are refreshing, but BADLY made...
It'd help if you'd run in linear route, but the rings you gotta go through are one here and other there...
Even a small minimap would have been helpful, but did they give it to us? Noooooooo...

What'bout battle missions? Just plain stupid.
"Defeat the enemy using just KI-shot"
...Yeah...I'd do it BUT
1. If I hit punch button: MISSION FAILED
2. I can shoot 'bout seven KI shots at time, and then my KI is gone. Can't get it back, since AI comes after you like a Pedobear after loli girls!!
3. KI shots do EXTREMELY low damage...And AI usually reflects them...Good luck with that...
So...NO!!

And like I said; the AI is brutal...
It's good that AI gives some challange, but I'm NOT a pro gamer!!
I set my difficulty level to VERY EASY and still get raped...!!

I bought this one when it got it's release date on EU,
and I'm STILL at the beginning of Buu saga...

Spoiler: Game 2.
Image

...OK, I might just suck at it, but I'm STUCK!
...And at the beginning for Gants sake...!!
I'f I'm not mistaken it's the first "boss fight" -or so I assume...

First I use this...radar thing to see where the worm is,
then I scratch from that place any anywhere near it (Immediately)
but there's nothing there?!

Then I get a G.O for "toying with that persons mind too long"
...Yeah...Maybe I take a brake from this game...AGAIN...

Spoiler: Game 3.
Image
Okay, this one is just a CLASSIC!
It's so frustrating hard, yet something so awesome...! :D

Spoiler: Game 4.

For single reason; Oops! Your jump was too short (or too long)

I love playing the Puzzle Bobble series...but Puzzle Bobble 4 is tough.

The introduction of CHAIN REACTIONS makes you lose faster. (Especially for certain characters that has a cheap counterattack pattern!)
