Zex feels the chill of the cold after just a few minutes. All the signs of hypothermia are starting to kick in. He packs up everything and rushes back to the shop. He collapses on the floor outside the door (Why... I... can't... die... like... this... I... need... answers...). He passes out

The guy from before sees him, "Crap!" he runs outside and supports him as he walks him inside. "Seriously, why aren't you kids inside?" he sits him down in the back room and hands him a blanket. "Just stay warm, I'll be back." he walks back into the kitchen.

Skylar had been reasonably quiet for the last while and had made no effort in assisting anyone. Because she couldn't. Everything was reminding her too much of that incident. She got herself a cup of the most bitter coffee on the menu and sat down, gripping the coffee cup in her hand. She drank it then left the coffee shop, and sat down in the snow in front of the coffee shop, tears pouring from her eyes.

But Mace's skin had alright turned back to normal, she was still sleeping. The man took off her jacket to look at her. "That's weird, no tinted skin, no frost bite. She'll be fine." he stands up and walks outside to where Skylar is, "Hey, what's the matter?"

Skylar moved her hand to her pocket and pulled out a locket. She popped it open and stared at it. It was a picture of 10-year-old Skylar, her mother, father, both her brothers and her sister. Skylar had actually grinned back then, but now Skylar barely knew what a genuine smile was. She looked at her elder brother. He was grinning that sly grin of his, that smile he wore on his face when he'd just pranked someone. She looked at her younger brother. He was grinning too. He had the same smile as Skylar. Skylar couldn't bring herself to look at her mother's face. She snapped the locket shut and put it back in her pocket.
