From Andriasang:

Quote:
Level-5 has apparently outgrown its annual "Level-5 Vision" press conference. Famitsu reports that this year, the Fukuoka gaming giant will be holding "Level-5 World."

Different from Level-5 Vision, Level-5 World is a two day event that's open to press and public alike. Level-5 has bought out space at Tokyo Big Site on October 15 and October 16 for the free event.

Level-5 Vision will be held as part of Level-5 World on October 15. Level-5 will be announcing over ten games, including new titles.

So it looks like Level-5 will have some big things to show in a couple of months. But this does have two unfortunate side effects. First, Level-5 Vision won't, as CEO Akihiro Hino previously indicated, be held this month. Also, Famitsu reports that the company's Tokyo Game Show showing won't be as large this year as it was last year.

What this means for Layton vs. Ace Attorney isn't clear - Capcom may want to show it off at TGS, but going by the report it also seems quite likely we won't see it until October, just about a year after it was announced.

Level-5 has now put up a teaser site featuring silhouettes of characters from games to be shown off there. While there's no sign of Phoenix or Maya, the good professor is of course there, so it's likely he's standing in for PLvsAA as well as his own games.

Hmmm pity but hey it's a crazy crossover composed in the minds of some lunatic producers, the fact it's in development at all is a miracle a little delay on announcements won't bother me

Level-5's also now put up a teaser site which I've added to the first post. One of the silhouettes featured is obviously Layton, but there's no sign of Phoenix or Maya - but then again, Layton's probably standing for PLvsAA.

Regarding the silhouette of Layton, considering the 5th game is already out in Japan, this probably means that they'll either put forth news of a sixth game, a new movie, or (hopefully) more news on PLvsAA. Either way it's good news for Layton.

Can't wait...

Or maybe ALL THREE OF THOSE. You know, PL6, Second PL Movie and PLvsAA. That would be too much to handle.

I can see the good ol' professor, the Ninokuni kid, some people that look like they come from Inazuma Eleven, the Time Travelers girl, and what could be a hostess from Girl's RPG Cinderelife.

I also found some sources reporting that most, if not all of the games announced at World will be playable during the event. That means that, if it weren't obvious enough, we're getting PLvsAA gameplay. Real, actual gameplay of what could very well be the best game ever. FOR REALS.

October 15 will be the best day of the year. I know it will be. I would say of the decade, but there's always Level-5 World 2012 to prove me wrong. And Level-5 World 2013 after that. And 2014 after that. And so on.

UPDATE EDIT:

Apparently the silhouettes are, from left to right:
1. Professor Hershel Layton from Professor Layton series (DS, 3DS) [Hinting at PLvs AA info and/or announcement of PL 2nd Movie and/or PL6, although it could also be some news on those ROID games or something disappointing like that]
2. Character from Fantasy Life (3DS), according to trailer [Hinting at FL info]
3. Oliver from Ninokuni (DS, PS3) [Most probably hinting at last details on PS3 version, maybe 3DS rerelease of DS version, and/or localization info? Remember Akihiro Hino confirmed L-5 would announce its overseas plans at World, courtesy of L-5 International America]
4. Ban from The Little Battlers eXperience (PSP) [Hinting at localization info, since game's been out in Japan since June, or a sequel on PSP, PSV]
5. Nobody's sure, but looks like someone from Inazuma Eleven Strikers (Wii), although number 6 already covers for the series, so... no idea. This would be too much, but maybe Dragon Quest X developed by L-5? I honestly don't know.
6. Tenma from Inazuma Eleven GO (3DS) [Hinting at more details on it, probably some launch info]
7. Character from Time Travelers (3DS), according to trailer [Hinting at TT info (yay!)]
8. Character from Girl's RPG Cinderelife (3DS) [Hinting at more details on that, so yeah]

#5 may be the character from the new Gundam series that Level-5 is working on.

Also, when did Hino confirm overseas news at World? :shoe:

I am most excited for these games. :)

Layton could indeed stand for PL vs AA. Because this is a Level 5 event, it's not weird that they only show Layton an not an iconic Capcom hero. Yeah, of course they're working together, but I think it would be funny if they had used a silhouette of Phoenix.

They actually confirmed it for Vision. But you know, that's the first half of World.

Also, I believe the "World" name could be a hint at that. Or not, but still, check those sources.

Here's hoping for that AA vs. Layton localization news. Can't believe a game like that is still up in the air for us. XD

The first piece of news they'll presumably be going into more detail at Vision has come out: Ni no Kuni for the PS3 is out in three months. Perhaps if we're lucky, Level-5 will see fit to tease a few PLvsAA details as well in Famitsu before the actual event.

Level-5 Vision sounds pretty cool. Though I haven't played any of their games yet :sadshoe:

I REALLY hope they do that *crosses fingers* :keiko: Even a tiny bit of new info on the game is good enough for me.
