This is Ace Attorneymon, a project in the making. It is a crossover between Ace Attorney and Pokémon that will focus on the characters of PW being Pokémon trainers.
Plot: Phoenix Wright is a new trainer, and with Maya, heads out into the Pokémon world. Then they learn of the evil Team Prosecutor, whose two leaders are Franziska von Karma and Miles Edgeworth. The three admins are Ema, Kay and Gumshoe. The grunts show no interest in the leader's beliefs. The rest is to be written.
Gameplay: This game will play exactly like a Pokémon game, actually. I don't see how to implement PW gameplay into it at all.

Well... there are two reasons for that:
1st being that the games section is.. kind of resting in piece currently (in my opinion, maybe it's just me) and the 2nd being that people don't.. really believe in crossovers with AA games. I wish I could help (Even if I don't watch Pokemon myself) however, I don't know how to Rom hack or use RPG Maker (even if I could learn it If I tried). My suggestion? Flash everything out in your first post (possibly put up a logo) and then request assistance. This way, people will get the idea that you mean business. (At least, that's what would work on me). People tend to judge projects on their first post, so I'd start there.

Well I have a suggestion.
I thought the two groups (I assume this is a hack of Emarald) would be better if its called Team Ladder and Team Stepladder, and the leader for Team Ladder is Maya, Team Stepladder's leader is Kay.

Like retro Final Fantasy for an overwold, then for battles it's: your Pokemon has it's back to us (all but Black and White had the top half of their back), and your opponent has a full front sprite. And the battle system is turn-based, with logical advantages in types (a fire pokemon is super effective [has its attack power upped] against a grass/bug/ice pokemon), with the occasional critical hit. And after every battle, you gain an amount of experience points based off of a whole list of circumstances from the battle, and after so many points are collected, your Pokemon levels up, and gains stat bonuses, occasionally learning a new attack, or, if the required level is met, it may evolve, becoming a new, stronger, different looking cersion of itself, like in retro Final Fantasy, when you "class up" (like, becoming a Wizard instead of a mage), how you turn from childish looking heroes into larger, more muscular and intimidating heroes. That's pretty much the mechanics of Pokemon. In a nutshell, of course.

I'd suggest either Pokémon Ruby or Pokémon FireRed, those are the ones that most ROMhacks are based off.
FireRed is the easiest if you don't want to script, though, so I'd recommend that over Ruby.
