Peh. It has countless features that I don't think I'll ever use. I really don't see the point in all the extra stuff they add to cell phones. Just an excuse to charge more, in my opinion. Of course, I hate telephones in general, so it's only natural that I have a negative image of cell phones--they're all the annoyance of a telephone, but capable of driving you mad even when you're not home.

I feel exactly the same way about cell phones, General Luigi. ^_^;; I'm not a big fan of them. Hence, why I still have a land-line at home.
The phone I have right now is one of those AT&T GoPhones, where you don't have to have a contract or whatever. Yeah, it doesn't have all the neat features of phones you get with contracts, but it does the job. Plus, I usually keep my phone off anyway, unless I'm traveling somewhere. I can't even find a picture of my phone anywhere. ^_^;; But it's blue, it's a Sony Ericsson phone, and it's a flip phone/clamshell type.

it's not a bad phone and I love the qwerty keyboard in landscape mode... makes texting less of a chore for me...
unfortunately, Bell Canada horribly gimps and locks down their phones (OBEX via bluetooth for example) in the hopes they can cash out on downloading ringtones and the like. So I have to hack into the phone just to install custom ringtones D:
I also have a major paranoia that the hinge'll snap since it opens two ways so I'm super ginger opening/closing the phone...

The camera is near-horrible, but it's pretty solid for the price.
I wouldn't mind using a cheap flip-phone instead as I love flip-phones; I have an iPod Classic for music anyway.

angels_gal, expect the iPhone 5 circa September. iOS 6 is rumored to be previewed/beta-ed at WWDC in June. Cycles being what they are, and the fact that Apple likes to throw new hardware out with their OSs, fall is a reasonable time. All I know is, I'm not waiting that long.

So I went out and bought the cheapest phone I could find, which is this beauty:

I plan one day to get an iPhone maybe. I don't want an iPhone 4S because it has the number 4 in it and that bugs me. I might just wait for the iPhone 5 if that ever comes out in the near future. Then again, I remember somewhere hearing that Sony was thinking of making a handheld gaming console that has a phone included with it, that would be pretty neat to have.

Except with a decent UI (ADW) and a 16GB MicroSD instead of 2. Sadly I didn't know it couldn't be upgraded beyond 2.1 Éclair or I'd have held out and saved a bit more to get the X10. (Which can go up to 2.3 Gingerbread.) Still, I'm in talks with a friend to flash it to install custom 2.3 firmware.
How my tastes have changed. Damn you Nokia for signing a partnership with Microsoft.
