I've always owned the "normal size" DS/3DS and always wondered about how the AA games look on the DS/3DS XL devices. Do they look more pixelated or anything? Is the experience better than on a normal DS?

And [in preparation for GS5] do 3DS games (cranked up in 3d) look as good as they do on the normal DS or is it pixelated as well? thanks.
I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

I've heard they look fine, sure you might see an occasional pixel but some people like that and it's not a massive problem.

Only graphics whores will break out in fits over it.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if people generally prefer it to the normal DS/3DS?

I don't know about XL, but I didn't really notice a pixel difference when I played AA on my DSi.

DS isn't a good comparison, completely different system.

People should appreciate it I guess because there's more than just a larger screen.

It has new rounded edges so it should feel better in the hands, as a regular 3DS user I can say it can dig in a bit at times and the battery life has been extended on it.

It you are going to move from DS to 3DS may as well get the XL, unless you are bothered about the size and portability.

I'm a 3DS owner with big hands and while that's not enough reason to upgrade, if the picture was a million times better with no drawbacks that might convince me to upgrade.

I once get my hand on a XL and it looks fine to me without any pixel broken or horrible sound or anything. Guess they made the game bigger than DS's original size or they used vectors to make the game?

I have a DSi XL and from testdrives at Target, the 3DS XL has similar proportions.

I love my DSi XL because I'm actually used to the larger resolution. Imagine watching it on a Youtube video, try finding Phoenix Wright gameplay videos and that's about how it looks.

I ended up buying a 3DS XL, and while you notice a very slight pixelation it looks fine and the bigger screen makes a big difference.

I would totally recommend it.
