An unfinished Phoenix Wright fancase that has started in 2010. Will it be done sooner or later?

*UPDATE* Since I've gotten me a new computer, that'll mean I have to start this fancase over again. So unless I can get some assistance or some help on this, it'll have to be on hiatus again until I get more of resources and, again, assistance.

ABOUT THE FANCASE GAME:
This fancase is a Phoenix Wright other-story(Other-Story meaning a non-canon game/video with the same era, but not with the same protagonist/antagonist, plot, or story. They were to only be the ones made by the maker. In some Other-Story game, the protagonists/antagonists of the canon game/video will be mention/referenced, but not in name) fancase game, so it wouldn't involve Phoenix Wright, Maya Fey, Miles Edgeworth or any other main characters (Though some will be mention, but not to be shown in a cameo). Minor characters are there either only in mentioning, or in cameo(The judge would typically be the judge in the entire game, while Winston Payne will be the case 1 prosecutor. Just there to be the training dummy, like always XP).

The fangame is about a 21 year old defense lawyer named Dean Atlas, who has just graduated college and have now became what his father used to be... An Ace Defense Attorney. In which he will swore to help his clients on getting a not-guilty verdict. But would he be able to keep saving them all? Or even trust them at all?

He is joined up by Geoff Chaucely, an old time friend from elementary school who is also Dean's helper in his trials (And who is called "Watson" by Dean), Karrie Mi, Dean's backup helper whenever in desperate need, and others. But though he would have his allies, he would also have rivals. One rival being Jasper Irvingvale, a one of a kind undefeated prosecutor who will do anything to get the clients a guilty verdict.

The fancase game takes place in the Phoenix Wright era (with gameplay features of the second game, including the psyche lock, which would only be used in specific episodes).

Unfortunately, the backgrounds and places will be from the phoenix wright games. Unless anyone would volunteer on making me some backgrounds, or perhaps be my background maker(same for the images, pictures(for crime scenes), flashback images, etc).

This fancase, along with the scripting, the ideas, the sprites, and the plot, would probably be made by me. (Once again, unless someone would like to help me on this. In the meantime, this would be a one-man-made Phoenix Wright fangame.)

I will try, and get this phoenix wright other-story fancase/fangame made! So feel free to ask some questions about the game!

CHARACTERS:

Dean Atlas
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Occupation: Defense Attorney
After graduating from Beneview University College, Dean has decided to become a defense attorney in respect of his father when he died. In his first case, he hasn't taken it quite seriously, and would've lost his first trial, if not for the help and advice of his assistant(Geoff/Marvin). So now after the first trial, he suddenly builds up some developments. He faces Winston Payne(canon/cameo) in his first trial, while he faces Jasper Irvingvale in recent trials.

Geoff "Watson" Chaucely
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Occupation: Assistant
Dean's helper, and an old friend. Have known him for 8 years, and has aided him throughout the game.

Ricky Tefuule
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Occupation: Student
A student from Halibard University. He is, as his last name obviously claims, foolish(at least after the first trial). He was a defendant of the first case of this fancase game.

GRAAAH, the game I've been writing in my head has a main character with the name "Atlas" as well. Oh well, it's not exactly something that can be trademarked.

I'm wondering how much of the idea you've gone through on though; have you completely fleshed out the story in your head / on paper? (even down to where someone was standing when a murder was committed and such) I hope the best for your project, but I'm just trying to say a lot of people try to do a lot of planning before bringing on help.
I'm gone for so long, and the colors got all psychedelic! Woohoo!

Well, sometimes I would pop things in my head, but some other times, it would be on paper. I dunno XD

Hmmm about the logo.
I made a tutorial some time ago, it has some bases, I hope it helps :D
present-evidence/how-make-your-own-ace-attorney-logo-t18034.html
About the grossberg sprites, are you talking about the ones from T&T? I can make them easily, it's just a recolor
And what do you mean with the courtroom backgrounds? i think they're here.
EDIT: Done

I'm pretty sure Zinle made some frozen courtroom backgrounds. You should check out his sprite thread. :)

You know, instead of deleting this thread and making a new one, you should just edit it. It makes it easier on the staff (since there isn't that many at the moment), and there is no shame in having old posts up. It's still gonna technically be the same game, right? If not, it don't matter. :)

That's what I was wondering as well. I don't know how the other mods feel, but I don't have a problem with having a user edit their thread for another purpose rather than abandoning one to create a new one. I know it doesn't seem like a lot, but if everyone did that, we'd have a lot of bandwidth issues (worse than now).

Please let me know because I'm honestly inclined to delete this if it's not needed anymore rather than lock it.

Just here to apologize if this PW fancase game is taking too long, and to say that this fancase game is still alive and well. I was still working on the sprites
Spoiler:
I'm still at Dean's part; I've done the normal, confident, objection, and hands on desk spritings. So of course this would take shot ton long. But for lipsyncings, I've only done the normal, and confident parts.

Also, would it be alright if I were to probably add in some mild/moderate language for this fancase game? Just asking :)

I'd say that's up to you. As long as it's consistent with the amount that's in other AA games, I doubt too many people will mind.

Aye, since I've gotten a new computer, that means that the sprites and other stuff on my old computer are gonna have to be cleared away, thus I will have to make some new ones, meaning that I'll have to start over again.

Unless I can get some helpers and assistance on this project, I will have to, again, postpone it/put it on hiatus. :acro:

Well I didn't have a USB drive, nor have I gotten the money for it just yet. So I guess I still do have enough time to get me a USB drive before my brother moves away with the old computer (in which if he got enough money to buy a new house).

You can use sites such as photobucket, imgur, justcloud or e-mail to yourself the files in attachments so you can get them back when you have your brand new computer.

I have a question though, are you planning to keep the same light canon aspects of the AA game or is it going to be darker?

Hm, not a bad idea. Though that would mean, at least for photobucket, I will have to make a new account if I would want to make a new album to pile in my files in.

Spoiler:
As for the aspects, let's just say it'll be a mixture of light and dark. Though save for the 3rd and 4th cases, which will probably be more of dark than light, when some secrets are revealed in them. But that's from what I think. :yogi:
