I've been wondering about this as well. I'm thinking the more powerful system, two playable characters and DLC potential present a great opportunity to change up the whole "4 or 5 cases per game" rule.

It is assumed. Everything is pretty much assumed. Details are scarce about the game, which i think for one is a good thing, especially because it is a visual novel. It would be like giving away significant plot points if we were told Trucy had been kidnapped etc.

It would be completely illogical and would be bad story design to have him undergo a huge change and then reverse back. Not to mention it would rob him of some real character development.
I still think what's going to happen is that Case 2 is going to be a flashback case, taking place before case 1. I know there's an inconsistency with Kokone having case 1 be her first case, but that might mean a lot of things (Maybe that was the first case she was working on with Phoenix, or the first case as an official member of Wright & Co).
I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

I don't care about the LE bonuses, either (although I do think the alternate covers are a nice touch; my hunch is that it'll be Nick, Kokone, and then either Jin or Polly) but I'd rather have a physical copy of the game for this one. Plus I'm not sure if my memory card has enough room on it for another full 3DS game, so I'd have to buy a new one of those.

Actually, with Bravely Default, the digital version was 1500 yen (IIRC) cheaper than the physical version, so...
(I don't know if that's common/regular or not, though. I think it might have been because the physical copy of BDFF came with an AR card while the digital copy didn't)

Most E-store games go for the same price as the physical versions (i.e. Nintendo games), but, for example Capcom's E.X. Troopers is about 1500 yen cheaper in the E-Store compared to the physical version. So if that is to be Capcom habit...
I bought all limited editions until now of the GS franchise (yomigaeru, GS4, GK, GK2), but a) I have no need for a pouch that is too small for my 3DS and b) and no interest in figures. I'll go for the basic version, but not sure yet whether I'll go digital or physical.

is more likely going to take place in the first cutscene rather than in game. So if they don't have to worry about explaining things in the gameplay there's more freedom for things to happen.
I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

From what I know, that first word "スーツ" Means "Suit", so He's commenting about Nick's new appearance. "新鮮" means "fresh", So He's probably saying "That suit's appearance is fresh (new)". (Sorry if my Japanese sucks, but this is good practice for me!)
This means that in case 2, (Apollo's first case in-game), he sees Phoenix in his new suit for the first time.
