If they drop some really awesome games on us at E3, I MAY get one. Same goes with the PS4. Hell, I may not even buy a console this gen. Nothing is impressing me.

Well yeah me and my mate reckoned that was their big plan, they didn't mention anything because E3 is coming up soon.
However this is a mistake in itself ya? It means people will remember the unveiling as boring as hell, if you are just going to mention all of it at E3 why even bother with a separate event instead of dropping the big bomb on E3?
Still absolutely nothing really worth seeing there in my eyes and it's sparking all kinds of horrible rumours there are for this console and it's features.

And what I've read now from the little advertisment Gamestop sent me with their Newsletter.... I'm not very excited. The Kinect is better responsive than before? Don't care, I never had Kinect to begin with and I don't really feel like getting it. There's a limit to Motion Controls I'd want in my gaming experience. Speaking of gaming, what?
You can go watch TV on your consoles, watch videos and movies, listen to music and digital TV!
Um, horray? What about games? Can I play games on this? Like, actual hard-in-hand copies or what?
Overall, I'm not too excited.
The PS4, as I've heard, is already not regioncode-free and not backwards-compatible for PS3 games. And this new Xbox just makes me see that these new generation consoles - ONE, PS4 and WiiU - are not the kind I'd want. Maybe if they have some really awesome sounding games on them, I might get one. Heck, the only reason I'd get a WiiU is a new Zelda coming out on it. But even then, I'd make sure to buy the cheapest, used WiiU because it just costs way too fucking much for me.
Even if I still had a job.

I'll probably just stick with my PC since I can buy games for a lot less than what I would pay for console games.
Plus my 3DS is getting a lot more use nowadays. You just can't beat Fire Emblem right now.

It's jsut the reason that I got PS2 first and...yeah....I've never own Xbox.
Out of curiosity though I checked A.Joes video about this Xbox One and....I dunno should I giggle or not.
To be honest, I was thinking of getting the new Xbox at some point since the 360 kinda won me over.
...My PS3 looks at me with teary eyes right now, but that's besides the point....
But now that I've seen Joes video and bunch of other videos too....I dunno....It's like Joe said; a massive breakdown....
What I can't really understand is their decision to pay some fee if you borrowed the game from a friend.
Okay, I can somewhat understand why they did it, but C'MON...!! Seriously?!

I watched Angry Joe's video as well and, boy, did he hit the nail on the head.
He mentioned things that I hadn't heard of and I really wonder what Microsoft was thinking, creating ONE. It's like a glorified TV that can show you everything you want, including television! And then he mentioned that whole Installing-Games and Live-Account-Tied and No-Game-Sharing/Second-Use-Fee. My god, is Microsoft trying to destroy themselves? Aside from stopping friends from lending games to other friends they are also putting a huge cramp onto the overall market regarding games. Majority of the games I buy are used, either because I don't buy them when they are new or the store doesn't have them in new or I simply don't want to pay 60€ for a game that I know I will enjoy, but not enough to pay 60-freaking-Euros for it.
Although I wish that Angry Joe would stop saying the PS4 is so freaking amazing. It isn't. It isn't backwards-compatible with PS3 games - the same way the ONE won't be compatible with 360 stuff - and it has region-code protection on it. Why put that back on when they so awesomely removed it for the PS3?

In that case, why not call it Omni?
I've seen a few of the Fan-Names and they went for Infinite/Infinity, Omni, etc. Omni means everything, so why not go for that? It has the added bonus of having a latin word in it, so it is 'even cooler'.
Apparently the Used-Game-Fee was a joke or doesn't exist.
I have yet to see a full confirmation of this, but overall.... I still don't think I would buy the ONE. I mean, just because they apparently now say that one of their shitty conditions doesn't apply doesn't mean I'll instantly go buy one.
A console needs to have good games on it, games that interest me and have some features to it that keep my interest. And I'm not talking about a drawing pad or anything like that. Heck, the stuff I know about the ONE still sounds like it's a crap
Why would anyone buy the ONE since it's basically a TV.
Practically everyone has a TV these days, they don't need ONE. If Microsoft had simply come out and said, "We're sick and tired of creating gaming consoles" that would've been fine. I think they are trying to bomb the ONE so that they don't get pestered for creating another console. They probably want to fail with it.
Otherwise, I'd worry for their sanity.
What single part of that whole console idea that is the ONE sounded good and marketable to them?

Though I heard the 'used-game' trick actually means the game will always run off the disk at no-charge so you can take it places. However it installs (I'm quoting here) "The bits" of the game on so that if your pal liked the game, they can just pay the fee download it and go.
Yeah I'm not quite sure what that entails really. It seems like a needless feature since with Xbox live or the PSN (or even increasingly with 3DS) if there's a game you borrowed and played you can download a digital copy so I'm really not sure what the function of 'The Bits' is.
Crack Theory:
Microsoft is intentionally bombing the One so that people will turn their eyes towards PC superiority thus (hopefully) selling more Windows PC's resulting in a bigger boost while they amputate the Xbox arm of the company.

Well good they didn't call it Xbox 4/Shi as the pronounciation of 4 in Japanese and Chinese, "Shi", is the same way you say Death. Overall, though, I don't think it would have mattered what they call it, a cooler name would not make up for that huge amount of faults.

And regarding Xbox One's lack of backwards compatibility, personally I don't care. I barely play any 360 games, save for Fifa (which I am mildly irritated about considering Fifa 14 is X1 exclusive), Street Fighter IV, Minecraft etc, although I don't see how XBLA games are incompatible with X1. I would be a bit disappointed is PS4 had no backwards compatibility as Sony are usually solid with that (it was the only reason I opted for a 60GB fat PS3 in the year 2012).
