...Yeah, this one I won't be able to get live. 4 AM on a Monday morning when I have work is a little insane even for me.

Thanks as always, JapaneseGIRL!

Can someone else record this? There might be a new trailer or footage!

After the crazy month of lots of trailers and new footage, i would be surprised if there is any more significant news before release. Something to look forward to after E3 i guess!

I'll try to record it (No promises, I'll see If I can get a recording program that picks up audio), It's 9-10PM for me, so I'll be able to watch it.

I have a feeling that this livestream will give an official reveal of Pearl and Klavier (Maybe Maya)
(There have been so many livestreams for this game!)

To be honest some of the livestreams are sort of pointless. The Nintendo Direct one was pre-recorded anyway and they uploaded the video shortly after.

What do you mean "recording program that picks up audio"? Don't tell me that you are doing anything less than a straight stream dump.

I've only access to my school computer, which is a Macbook, with almost everything locked except the programs that they allow. (ie. I have Skype, but I can't open it, as I do not have permission.) As a result, the only screen recording program I have is Quicktime, which doesn't record the computer's audio. I know a loophole to install programs on my computer, but I can't find ones that can record the audio playing on my computer simultaneously with screen recording (As in, I can have 2 programs running at once, but it causes lag, and all their programs like "Cyber safety Help" can't be closed).

If you have any other method that's more efficient for this situation (I don't know how to dump a stream, but I could easily learn), than any help is much appreciated! :keiko:

For a starter you need to figure out what stream delivery protocol they are using. Then you just need to find a matching stream dumping program.

By the way, a tip for people who might not make it live, you can always time-shift live broadcasts on Nico to view later at your own convenience.

I suggest you buy Screenflow (or pirate it. But support is always good!). It records screen in its actual HD and length width and stuff, unlike Quicktime that recizes/reduces the screen capture. Screenflow also records sound, so yeah.

So long as you've got the admin password, you can install it to your Mac. Good luck, and I hope my advise isn't too late! :jake:

As a side note, obviously, this applies only if you have a Nico Douga account. If you can't read the Japanese, it's the bright yellow bar. It may open a pop-up window to ask for confirmation.

Quick note, The official GS5 site has updated with more case 2 images, and a case 3 background with a bit of text on. Also, more details on Mood Matrix, and the Apollo mind trick red lights yada yada stuff from the trailer, and Voice Actors have been confirmed! :pearl:

I'll see what Nico Nico use, if I can't do it for the live stream itself, I've timeshifted it, and so I should have it for a week after it's aired (Or so I think)

I have VLC Player, which I know can record livestreams, but I'll look into this program if that doesn't work when I test it out. (If this one is a paid one, I won't be able to get it) Thank you both for the help!

I'm no expert on network streaming, but I'll see what I can do tonight, if I can catch it. I've never heard of VLC not recording the sound, so I'll try it too. If I somehow manage to record it, I'll upload it to Youtube.

If nobody can record it, I still have Nico premium, so worst comes to worst I can timeshift it later in the day and record that.

Thanks (That takes a lot of pressure off me XD :acro: ), I know VLC does record the audio, My computer just can't allow it. I'll still try to record it!

@Bolt: Thanks! If that's the case, then that'd help!

Hi I'm new!

I'm just watching the stream, and thought I let the curious people here know what's going on - I missed the first 15min of the stream, and don't speak a word Japanese, but from what I can see:

- They have showed an animated introduction to the second case, which looked really nice. It was a giant bird beast fighting a fox, which then cut into a room where two people sat facing each other.
- It then cut to the investigation part - done by Apollo! Yay! He had Athena with him to start investigating the room seen before in the cut scene.
- Obviously we're dealing with a murder scene. There was blood on the floor. They showed off the new 3D model by wiggling the perspective a bit, so you could see a bit around the edges of the view field. I'm sure that looks cool in 3D. If you have a 3DS: It reminded me of when you have a puzzle in StreetPass completed, and can look at a cute 3D scene, and wiggle the direction stick around a bit.
- The investigation of the murder scene is not in free 3D as I feared - you can change perspective with left and right arrows. You basically wander around the room and have a look at it from each side. But it was 4 fixed perspectives (east, south, west, north).
- You can zoom in on special objects, which reminded me of that little table in the painters room in the last case of Apollo Justice. That way, the player found a note hidden under the table by wiggling the perspective of the table a bit.
- One evidence piece, behind a chair, was blinking. But maybe it's just a special piece, or it's made of blinking material?
- When you have already clicked on things of interest, your hand cursor gets a check, so you don't have to click on things twice when there is no new information.

Hope that makes you as excited as me. :D Hope someone who speaks Japanese can add a ton to that.

Edit: Sorry, so excited, had to edit out some typing errors.

Adding what I can for the most important bits; feel free to correct me if I've missed something:

-The scenario was written specifically for this event; it isn't something that actually happens within the game-proper
-That being said, the scenario pretty much started with Phoenix giving Apollo a call....which was then cut short, because Phoenix started yelling about a giant bird.
-Even the anime segments are 3D-enabled
-Japanese demo will be released on the 19th of this month on the e-Shop.

...those are the bigger things I took note of. I'm really excited for the demo, haha. I wonder if it'll be any different from the online version, or if it'll even be the special scenario they showcased here (I didn't catch that much, unfortunately).

"3D is shaking the camera unnecessarily to screen and harder to become that seems to be drunkenness is live"

Yeah… I don't think reading Auto translations of Hoso Boso's live tweets are the best way to view this.

I think Hoso Boso mentioned that in two days the demo hits the eShop
"Nintendo eShop experience edition delivery is 6/19"

NinjAngel sniped me it seems.

Edit:

NinjAngel wrote:

I have to agree with this. When I played the demo Phoenix seemed to be the only fleshed out character, (Everyone else with the possible exception of Ted Detonate and the Judge seemed stapled in) and his ordering Athena to activate the Mood Matrix came quite abruptly.

Isn't she talking about the case 2 scenario?
But they probably altered the case 1 scenes of the web demo, too.

If you're watching the stream, skip to about 9:27 to see a scene with Trucy, 13:40 to see a sneak peek of the anime scenes, and 20:25 to see the investigation part. You can click the box with the time and enter in these times if you want to get to the good bits (●´∀`●)

To my understanding, While at the youkai village, Phoenix calls Apollo but is attacked by a bird monster? Apollo and Athena go to investigate an office, and find a note from Phoenix, as well as his phone and badge. Scary...

ugh the graphics look great! I keep telling myself that even if it's digital only, I'm sososo glad we're getting this in English :phoenix:

Eshiro and Yamazaki also mentioned that the game will have a gallery mode once you finish that'll let you re-watch the animated scenes. I'm hoping music and art'll be viewable there as well - take a little of that Layton influence!

Uploading it right now, actually. It should be up in about 20 minutes at http://youtu.be/JFiWzNioOF0, though I don't plan to sub all the conversation.

(Also, Apollo's ringtone is The Guitar's Serenade. Oh you, Polly.)

EDIT: Or not. Seems like YouTube doesn't like Nico FLV files. Will try and fix later.

I've been having immense difficulty downloading my timeshift of the livestream. Every 5 seconds the video lags/freezes, making recording difficult, and I'm not sure where the file is to download it directly. (I have adobe media encoder, which can convert FLV, so Bolt, if you tell me how you downloaded it, I'll download and convert it)

I managed to convert it (though ugh the video guy in me is screaming in agony at downloading an FLV, converting it to AVI, then uploading it to YouTube, where it will again become FLV - and NicoNico's not exactly the highest-quality to start with.)

It should be up here soon. Like, for real this time.

EDIT: Gack, YouTube desynced the audio! :ack: Well, I don't think it's really worth trying to re-encode it and re-upload it, unless there are major objections.

I noticed that the investigation room is the same as in the "case 1 demo" shown previously, but obviously it now seems to be related to case 2. Was the "court/bomb/Ted Tonate behind the door" version only for the demo or an earlier version, or is it supposed to be two, similar-looking rooms?

The bomb version was almost certainly just a case of them making a demo with the assets they had on hand. I mean they showed that off back at TGS, so at that point all they could show off was case 1-related stuff, so I'm guessing they mucked around a bit with a future investigation to make it a passable demo that fit in the context of case one.

That's what I thought, although I have to admit it was disappointing there was no "AH THERE'S A DUDE BEHIND THAT DOOR" moment in the final case.
