Okay, I looked it up and I have one big question:

Why is Kay Faraday's profile picture the one from when she was... like... eight? Seeing that next to the description "We're married" brings up a few rather disturbing images.

Since Kay's profile isn't in the AAO editor anyway, which means you would have to fetch the custom profiles, why you would intentionally get the wrong one that doesn't match the sprites kind of beats the hell out of me, yeah.

Minor issues that coulda been mined out I reckon. The content I felt was fine but it wasn't Edgey2k's work, it was Grimm doing a demonstration/intro to get him off the ground.

I know I was supposed to be ignoring this thread, but I was curious and looked up the case.
It's better than Edgey's previous cases, but the thing that's bothering me is the following:

1: Edgeworth and Kay being married. Like Ropfa says, I am getting the same kind of images he's getting.
2:
Spoiler: GS4
Daryan Crescend being out of Jail. He says that he's innocent and claims that some kid convict him, he admitted the crime (You can tell by his breakdown dialogue.)

3: Kay's sprites. After Kay's dialogue, her sprites keeps talking. (It's a bit annoying.)
4: The blackmail letter only says:
Spoiler:
Dear Justice
I am assuming that it's incomplete.

But hey, at least the dialogue is more understandable.
"Oh holy father, holy Brother, holy master... My sacred mission is at last complete. With these two hands, mankind is saved. I am your will made flesh. In your name, I give thanks."

I didn't host the images so I haven't got a clue. I'm assuming that's the only profile picture he could find.

But... but it's right here... in literally the exact same place you can find younger Kay...

(also Bonny, that's because he didn't write it, as Grimm mentioned)

You're talking about the person who can't understand the meaning of my posts on page two and keeps asking me "why you leave please come back" in PM. His posts and messages still have no grammar in them and are one line long.

Oh and Grimm, who made the script? (Not the dialogue, I mean the murder plot/evidence etc.)

Then stay away from it. Nobody's forcing you to pay attention to it. Furthermore, BP has made his stance on off-topic and unconstructive posts in this topic quite clear, and this post right here is the definition of off-topic and unconstructive.

@ Grimm: He... he seriously doesn't get why you left. Uh... wow. Not going to say anything more than that.

Pretty much every possible form of constructive criticism has been covered, so there's just this left for me to leave. Edgey, if you don't start listening to the endless walls of advice people have provided you, neither you or this fangame will ever go anywhere. Frankly, you need to start listening to what people tell you. I don't know how much more we need to tell you this before you get it.

anyway, to answer the above post, lemme just quote an excerpt from what Grimm wrote on Page 2:

Quote:
The premise, the crime itself (though I inputted on this point heavily), the fact that Daryan is here and the fact that Kay and Edgeworth are married were his ideas, I just wrote the script

That would leave behind too many contradictions though.

Okay, I don't get it. I believe while constructive posts are in fact useful, it doesn't mean that I can't state my opinion even when it is in fact nonconstructive. It's the matter of free speech, you know? ^^; I know it wasn't helpful, but I don't think every single post has to.

My post back then was simply a statement that I didn't really enjoy what I saw so far in that fancase, even though the writing was better, I still didn't really like it.

It's very disrespectful to Grimm to say "we" after he has made it very clear he is not rejoining this project, just saying. You should respect his decision on that matter.

This is fine. The first way you said it... wasn't really.

This thread has had to be "purged" twice now. It's clear that (for whatever reason) it's easy for people in this thread to devolve to... bad places, so I'm trying to keep a tight leash in here to make sure that that doesn't happen again.

I'll answer you this time so hopefully you can get the message. You want a short answer or long answer?

The short answer is:
Spoiler:
No.

The long answer is:
Spoiler:
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Now my advice to you is: stop pandering for attention and do something useful with your life. Or don't do anything useful, what do I care? Some more advice: get drunk at home often. It makes the days seem better, I can personally vouch for that.

Sorry to tell you, but when I relayed the message to Rtaos, he came here after telling me I could stop relaying messages. That's Rtaos. I'm sorry if Rtaos is not living up to your expectations, and while I disagree with the way he says his message, you clearly aren't addressing any of the issues posed by CR members regarding your trial- inclusive of Rtaos.

No. If you had handled the situation better and did not just completely ignore Grimm when he made that big, giant post, he would still be on the game. If you had acknowledged, addressed, and taken the advice from that post he made, he would still be on the game. You blew your chance with him, and that's honestly nobody's fault but your own, and that's frankly something you need to learn: YOU are responsible for your actions, and the consequences that come with them. You can't just completely ignore people all the time and expect nothing bad to come of that. And that brings me to my next point: After Grimm publicly writes this giant wall of text trying to advise you and you ignore every single word, and everyone who's read this topic can vouch for this... Who would be willing to replace him? You have yet to acknowledge a single piece of advice people have been trying to give you in this topic. Who would try to help you when you have been completely unreceptive to constructive criticism? Nobody would, the way things stand right now. They all saw what happened there.

And this is exactly why you need to make some changes. You need to start listening to people, for one. This is huge. This thread is filled with endless advice on how you can improve. Try to follow it. Or at least ACKNOWLEDGE it and don't plug your ears every time it comes up and try to change the subject, because it's nothing short of rude to the people trying to help you. In fact, this right here is pretty much the answer to ALL of your problems since you will understand how you can improve as soon as you start doing this, so I'll repeat it once more: start listening to what people have been saying to you.

Start listening to people. Show that you WANT to improve. Be receptive to the people giving you advice instead of giving them the brush-off each and every time. You've gotten off to a rather bad start here, but it's never too late to salvage something so long as you try to salvage it. And you can do that. If you act more receptive to criticism and appreciate the help people offer you instead of just ignoring it, you just might actually get a new collaborator. It's possible. It's VERY possible. You CAN erase the bad start here and start anew with an improved mindset, and thus an improved product. You can do that very easily.

But NONE of this is going to happen if you don't start listening to people. If you continue to ignore people who try to help you, you will be stuck in the same rut you're in now, and nobody will be willing to help you because you won't listen to them, because they all saw how you didn't listen to Grimm.

So stop doing that. Stop ignoring people. Listen to them instead. You'll get so much further.

He understands! He finally understands! You see that, Ami? By being blunt as possible with this kid, I have made him understand one of my points. All he needs to do is re-read page two of this thread and understand that.

I can't believe I've wasted so much time solving an issue that wasn't even complicated from the start. I am so relived, this whole event was driving me insane.

Edgey, one question to you - are you going to start working on the game by yourself, with or without others' involvement? All we saw so far was mostly Rtaos's work and now he's out of the project.

Because I'm slightly unsure in regards to very purpose of this thread, seeing you're not making any significant are even any progress.

Stay away from what? There is no game developed at all. Or at least not developed by this game's creator... <_<

I know we were supposed to stop with talking how this fangame won't happen, so instead I want to know how can be sure it will ever happen? Because I see literally no effort on Edgey's part.

I stayed in this topic because of hilarious Rageworth screens

You're going to report what to a mod? The mods are not your personal servants to punish anything you deem punishable, they're there to use their own judgement on what's punishable and what isn't. And if you want people to help you, then I'll keep saying it until you get it: start listening to them. You might actually get someone on board to help you if you cooperate and listen to what they have to say instead of plugging your ears and blatantly ignoring any form of criticism that comes up for a change.

I think that's enough. From what I can tell, no one has broken any rules. However, I'm seeing far too many arguments in this thread. For the time being, I am locking it. Edgey, I strongly suggest you seek advice from veterans on making a fangame; I get the impression you don't have a full understanding of what is expected of you, the project leader, from those who are willing to work with you. In fact, a good start might be helping with someone else's project. Once I have sufficient reason to believe work on this fangame can continue without an argument breaking out in this thread on a regular basis, I will unlock the thread.

I am unlocking this thread for the time being. I would also like to remind everyone that this thread is for a fangame. If you have your doubts about the game, you are free and encouraged to express them, but I want you to remember that you should be discussing the game, not the person in charge of making it. And Edgey, I hope you understand what is expected of you as the person in charge of making this fangame. I also advise you to avoid provoking users that criticize your work. Ideally, criticism points out problems so that they can be corrected. Criticism of a flaw in your game is not a personal attack.

This...is a joke, right? Nobody is this...self-involved, right? How old is edgey2000, seriously?

Anyway, to post about the actual game, I find it dull and the dialogue disengaging. There are a lot of things to fix (like Kay's profile and her sprites in general) but if you fix that, what will you have? A polished turd. And as much as you polish a turd, it won't be a diamond. I think this project should be abandoned so those involved can spend their time improving as human beings. That sounds harsh, and it is, but it's true and it's my advice. This game is a waste of time and those involved should just leave it and move on. Thank you.

Somehow, I think this project gets more attention than it deserves.
