but the price has put me off a bit, seems expensive for what it is but I might still order it..I would prefer an actual case though, not a cover to hide my pretty 3DS.

Yeah I don't think it's so bad either. Also Aluminium makes quite a nice protective cover I'm sure also it being compatible with the Circle Pad Pro means I wouldn't need to take it off (a problem I have with my current cover).

I actually own something pretty similar to this; there was a pouch 3DS holding thingy that was included with the Japanese limited edition (which I imported), and quite honestly, I don't think it looks bad at all. Boxed most likely could mean that that or probably the statue came separately with the game sealed. It sucks though because take advantage by offering ridiculous prices for rare items.

As an owner of that Phoenix Wright statue, I can confirm that the statue came in its own box so I assume that is what the seller meant by "never opened".
