Nonetheless, I consent it should see much less attention in GS6. It's merely an extension to the usual cross-exam mechanic - one similar to pressing a question at a specific statement - such that it lets a witness reuse the same testimony until a contradiction pops in. Once that contradiction is found, then new testimony is required, as it always has been. Athena can help out on the occasion, but she doesn't need to show up for all the cases just to show off a recently introduced game mechanic. Thankfully, GS6 will most likely incorporate something else, so MM won't be so prominent as it has been.

Yeah, I agree. It can be used, but Mood Matrix all the time, while worked well in that one game, was still a GS5 thing.

Gosh, I swear I wasn't drunk when I posted that. But Edgeworth would never steal anything from him. He always leaves his purchases on Phoenix's tab instead.
It's okay. Those seven years of absence from legal work ended up making Nick rich from gambl... gaming. Lots of people offered donations (totally not prize money). It explains how he could afford a golden watch and new outfit when he always had trouble paying rent back then.
I still want to see an evil judge have a breakdown and throw his gavel. Too bad, Edgey probably won't appear in court unless there's some good reason. Well, no matter. The gavel can just land on Apollo's head and he gets amnesia instead. Everything works out.

His appearance would be a guy with spikey brown hair, a Black T-Shirt with a picture of a 3DS on it, and a belt buckle in the shape of an NES controller. He would immediately ask for Apollo, Athena, and Phoenix's autographs the moment he sees them. Maybe there could be revealed to be actual in universe video games based on their lives, a sort of breaking-the-fourth-wall-but-at-the-same-time-not sorta thing.

I totally do want DS games to be remade in DD format.
Just imagine these anime cutscenes with Mia's death, 1-2 ghost scene, 1-3 mafia scene, the stun gun attack, train station scene, Grey's death, Edgeworth spotting Adrian's card, Tigre vs Gumshoe, Fawles's suicide, the bridge scene, Dahlia's final breakdown, Godot's breakdown, Trucy's 2-2 "kidnapping", Vera falling down, Kristoph's breakdown, Athena and Apollo evacuating from the courtroom, with Apollo saving Juniper... Wait, what.
Screw it, I want DD remade too.

Still doesn't beat the actual games, though, so an anime adaptation would be moot... unless it's not official. We need more fan animators in this fandom stat.
Besides, GS1 - 3 weren't "remade" for the DS; they were ported with enhanced graphics and music, aside from the extra case. Likewise, GS123 is a porting of those games to the 3DS with complementary 3D effects, but without actual models. I'd support porting GS4, GK1, and GK2 to the 3DS as well, though - especially GK2, since it failed to see a localization because the DS age was dying out by then.

I think the best people to do a anime on GS would be Aniplex.

Also, a secret bonus case in the Naruhodo Selection either leading to the events of GS6 or Takumi's new game would be a nice shocker! (Even if it were just a trailer like they used to do in older games, like that Pikmin trailer in Luigi's Mansion.)

Nah, just game with lots and lots of anime cutscenes =3 ...With these from DD remade, especially the courtroom scene.

Nonetheless, I agree they have been implemented well, the art style is sharp, and the animation is very smooth.
Speaking of which, does anyone remember who was in charge of the animation for GS5? I'd like to see that person's return for the following games.

If I recall, you mentioned before that you haven't yet played the Investigations games? I recommend that you do. There are some interesting mysteries behind those cases. (But you'll have to wait on GK2; the fan localization project has only released two cases so far.)

I own it and plan on playing it...but I'm waiting for my sister to finish it. (She's a HUGE Edgeworth fanatic.) Since it doesn't have more than one save file, I don't want to delete her game when she's on the third case... Problem is she's also playing DD at the moment...So it's taking a while.

I don't want to throw everything away but I'm not pleased with the reactions I've gotten to my ideas. They've been mostly disregarded and despised by everyone I've presented them to.
It mostly has to do with pushing Phoenix back into the supervisory protagonist role, something that I believe has been happening to him anyway and the natural progression towards AA6 would mean he becomes the consulting character to Athena and Apollo.

To anyone who's reading this, how many of us prefer Phoenix to remain at the helm and how many others prefer him to take the passenger seat? (And how many of us would prefer that I not use car analogies with someone who doesn't even have a license?)
I wish there's something that could happen so we could see Phoenix taking driving lessons for once.

He shouldn't have to share the spotlight so much in a game that is primarily about his return to the courts and has his name on the box. I felt they messed that up with the addition of another protagonist lawyer and while it was enjoyable I just wish they'd been a bit more consistent because it leaves me feeling like it was all false advertising and just trying to draw a big crowd...which it totally might have been. End of the day folks bought it so if it was a marketing stunt it was a success but it's somewhat dishonest and that didn't sit well with me

I can understand that. I mean, the whole point of AJ was it was going to be this big beginning a new chapter in the series with a new protagonist at the helm. Making Phoenix the headliner again just feels like a bit of a step backwards in and of itself, not to mention adding a THIRD protagonist to the bunch as well. Itmakes the series' direction feel somewhat confused
That's not to say I didn't enjoy the game: far from it, it's one of my favorites in the series (I hesitate to call it my favorite; the honors to that would probably go to Trials and Tribulations), I enjoyed playing an older Pheonix in court and Athena is an awesome addition to the series. However, it left me feeling somewhat confused as to where they're trying to do with series, and that didn't sit well with me either On a different note, what do you think they would do for the first case in the next game? Each game had a different way of reintroducing the court mechanics; a lawyer's first trial, amnesia, flashback, etc. I'm sure they'll find a way, but I'm curious as to how they'll manage it

1st case: Athena Alone (This way the rookie lawyer thing would make sense and I can see her being nervous.)
2nd case: Phoenix and Trucy (Haven't yet had a case together and Trucy needs some time to shine
)3rd case: Apollo and Athena (This is a good team I much enjoyed it in DD and hope to see it again.)
4th case: Phoenix and Apollo (We've never had a case where Phoenix and Apollo go investigating together.)
5th case: Phoenix, Apollo, and Athena (I'm hoping it'll be so big you'll need both their help.)

This setup works quite well in my opinion. That said, I feel like at SOME point within the game -or perhaps even as a DLC case- we could have a Apollo and Trucy pair again. I'll be honest, I DO prefer the team of Apollo and Athena then him and Trucy but I dunno... I enjoyed the 4th game well enough, and I feel like them working together again would be a nice way of paying tribute to it
