Why am I sitll riding Ao Haru Ride? It's a typical shoujo manga and I already got annoyed at the bitch deciding to go with this one guy she doesn't love to forget about her supposedly unrequited love... "I'll learn to love him", no you FIRST fall in love, THEN you agree to getting into a romantic relationship. AND WHAT'S WITH ALWAYS STEALING A FIRST KISS, YOU ASSHOLE GUYS!?
That's it, I'm not gonna read this manga anymore. I don't care if the school explodes and all these shoujo manga stereotypes explode in a fiery inferno, I don't think anything can actually save this manga from the terrible shoujo manga clichées.

Yeah. I mean, I have nothing against clichés as long as they don't all appear close together in the same series. Which it does here. I would really like to see some clichés being stomped to the ground, but I guess if I want to see that, I have to draw it myself.

"PRESTIGIOUS PRODIGY OF PRESTIGE!" XD That slayed me Awkward Zombie is amazing. Seems I've been away a while, work has been hectic. To summarise some opinions:

1: Cat just because you are not FORCED to use certain costumes does not mean they are not oversexualising a character. The mere existence of them in the game is oversexualising a character. Whether they are used or not doesn't make a difference.

2: I am totally fine with spamming Nicholas Cage gifs and edits because he is one of the funniest people in the world. Though to be on the safe side, an awesome link to a big page of all of them would prevent spamming the whole forum.

3: Yeah Pikachu looks pretty sick awesome in that shirt, even if he's an annoying little yellow puffball. I kinda hope to see that anime episode (?) they hinted at where all the pokemon play football.

4: Clichés are not by default bad by any means, plenty of people like them. By this point in the world of fiction most things can be categorised in some way or another (just look at TVtropes) but it's important to remember that clichés are clichés for a reason. Folks use them so much because a lot of them are indeed popular.

That's stupid. It's like saying that... strawberries in chocolate sauce are (for some reason, I don't get why) are sexualized. But it doesn't matter that I eat strawberries without a sauce on them, just the mere fact that I COULD eat them with chocolate sauces makes it sexual.

It's not like that at all. Strawberries with chocolate sauce is like common in ice cream sundaes or as a little garnish on the side of a dessert plate. It's all about context, If you have couples sharing strawberries and chocolate sauce, sure it's romantic. If you have barely any clothing on a woman in a game without any reason then it's just for sex appeal. It's not an appropriate comparison.

Is your brother stronger than you? Because if they hit you, you hit them right back! If you're not nearly as strong as your brother then the only thing you can do is take the abuse as best as you can, or tell on him, but nobody likes the brother always telling on others.

You could also try to talk about why he tries to beat you up, but if something like that happens over headphones you either done something to really piss him off or he's just being a dick.

No. Metro: Last Light had sexualization of women because it was an obligatory part to go through, the strip club and the scene of Anna suddenly wanting to get laid by you, that's sexualization of a woman. Light is merely being dressed in clothes - it's like the bikini chainmail in other games, it's fanservicy, but at least it serves SOME purpose as armor.

You are now trying to argue that bikini chainmail is not oversexualisation of a character and that it actually serves as effective armour.

I don't care about Metro: Last Light I don't know anything about the sexualisation in it, it's not the topic of discussion. It's about if Lightning was oversexualised, bikini chainmail is like....the PRIME example of oversexualisaton as it's blatantly impractical and sacrifices any kind of use in favour of fanservice and sex appeal.

There's no argument here left to have, you admitted yourself its fanservicey and that's exactly the point.
