If it's not lit up that means that you actually can't select it, though, right?

The second option is for the file I linked. If you're using the .dsv files, then you have to pick the third option.

• Patched the full game as a new file (separate to my Case 1-3 file)
• Import it to your emulator (OpenEmu, in my case. Super reliable.)
• Went into Library/Application Support/OpenEmu (or whatever your emulator is)*
• Found the folder with my saves (Batterysave)
• Duplicate my save for Case 1-3
• Rename it to whatever your full game patch name is
• Open up your emulator and ta-da, you're away laughing on a fast camel
Voilà, super basic. But it works and you get to keep your own save! Yaaay
*it's a hidden folder on my computer, so you might have to download Houdini to find it
Also: is anyone else having issues with examining evidence? When I try to examine the letter/ticket/map the bottom screen just comes up black. Could pose to be a problem. Just maybe.

I'm pretty sure all you need to do now is load up the game and try to start the chapter you want. Remember, you are importing a game save, not a savestate. So what you imported will not immediately cause the emulator to start the game.

On a side note, does anyone know how to speed up the text and sound? My experience thus far with the game is that it's very sluggish--the music and text is not at its normal speed. This has occurred before, yet rebooting the computer would typically help. That is not the case this time though.
Edit: I was able to fix the text speed by messing around with the config, but the sound is still incredibly slow, even though I changed the interpolation setting.

I had the same problem. The F.A.Q. answered it though. It says that you need to download Desume 0.9.9 (I had 0.9.10 when the issue happened). Ever since I tried it on 0.9.9, everything worked perfectly. Hope this helps!

Hmm. That's weird. I haven't gotten far enough yet, so I'm not sure. But I'm assuming pointing out contradictions in photos of crime scenes or the like might be tricky. Hopefully, you'll manage somehow.

Funny that, DeSmuME never worked for me before! I couldn't find 9.9 for OS X but I downloaded 9.8 and everything's hunky dory now. Thanks!!

I can speak to the fact so far (through case 2-3 end) the game runs perfectly on a Brick DS and DS lite with a Cyclos DS with the last software update. I rarely use it, but in this case I'm very glad I have it, as this is just the kind of thing flash cards should be used for.

As it's been stated many times before, if you switch to Desume 0.9.9 or lower, the bugs you've been encountering will be fixed. A new patch will be released eventually to fix any typos, errors and other things.
