Er, I think I'm going to have to agree with Pierre on this one. Although as much as I would like to see Isaac from Golden Sun, the character I want to see the most right now would be Ray 01 from Custom Robo. Actually, I would be ecstatic about getting any model of Ray for that matter.

I'm more than willing to believe the opposite. It could very well be that Sakurai is including third party characters as trophies, and the Monolith Soft post was for genuine hype concerning the announcement.
There is some precedence for that, of course. To date, Sakurai has never shown us a trophy of a character before revealing said character as playable within the same game. Also, the model used is way too shiny and stiff to be at all used in gameplay, like trophies of playable characters in previous games. And there's also the fact that Sakurai doesn't want too many third party characters in the game, as well.
Then again, Sakurai has proven to be more than willing to bend ideals before, so anything is possible at this point...

Why would Sakurai put in a third party character as a trophy and not as a fighter if there wouldn't be a playable Ubisoft fighter. This could only mean one thing...

Now, I'm all for more Fire Emblemcharcters, but now there's 5 from that one series, oh, and at least Captain Falcon's confirmed too, but still...
Although more than one character in that announcement was indeed nice :P
Just seemed like there'd be something more outlandish for such fanfare over this one day of reveals.

I think the trailer would have been better if it ended with Falcom delivering a good ol galactic falcon punch.
