I'm probably the only person who cares, but...is there any way to change the colour in which usernames are displayed on posts? I find the black on a dark grey background to not be particularly easy on the eyes.

I totally agree, there's times when new people show up or someone has changed their avatars (which I'd normally identify people with) and I need to highlight the name in order to tell who is what.

Though sadly I doubt it, coloured names seem to be the realm of the staff reserved for mods and admins and scanlators etc.

I'll make sure to bring it up with Bolt when I have a chance. Maybe the next board style we roll out can have backgrounds that work for all user groups. Some of the older board styles (such as "Court_Records_Kenji") have different colors that should be easier to work with, but the general change to the board's appearance will surely take some getting used to.

Well, you could change the style of the forums on the user control panel...though I agree that its kind of annoying.

EDIT:Damn,General Luigi posted that while I was writing, but yeah what he said.

At present colored names are used to denote staff, but (as far as I know) there's nothing stopping us from adjusting it for normal users as well. We'll keep this in mind next time we do forum reskinning - thanks for the suggestion!
Hi! I've largely stepped back from C-R due to life stuff. Please contact one of the other staff members for help!

Can you change my name to Brown and my rank to an animated dancing boner (NSFW) please?

He said normal users, DoMaya. You are about as normal as a politician is honest.

Speaking of Forum Reskinning I hope there's a nice one for PWvsPL in the works.

I believe it could be solved by all names being white instead of black, just like the text posts.

White is currently reserved for scanlators, even though these forums haven't had any visiting scanlators in a while. In fact, I'm not sure we really need a scanlator group anymore. Regular members who know Japanese are enough.

Perhaps Orange as a default mainly because the User's metadata on a post is modeled after evidence metadata?

And while we're at forum reskinning, could we do something about that notebook scheme for viewing forums? The rungs can block a forum's or topic's status icon, which is inconvenient.
