The trilogy main characters and DD court record are just character art, which doesn't really fit as well as a background. At least, in my opinion. They still look good, even if the top screen is just a simple scrolling image. The iconography of the court record one is interesting though.
The pixel art one looks too sparse and chunky to me, but I guess I can see some people liking it.

As for the themes themselves, I guess they could come over at some time, but themes aren't really announced before release, so no idea when that could be. I wouldn't be surprised if they never come out since there is no corresponding game release, so they probably wouldn't expect many sales of it.

Amen. The main reason I own a 3DS is because of an eventual Ace Attorney release. It's best to honor that.

:( I kinda wish you hadn't said that, it made me think about something I wouldn't have otherwise. Originally the one I wanted was the AA Trilogy main character theme (to be completely frank I'd have preferred an Ace Attorney 5 version of that one but the original trilogy's characters are okay too). But you have a point; as a theme it ought to skin the 3DS menu in some way more than just being a mere wallpaper (although part of why I want the theme is to proclaim my interest in Ace Attorney and the Mood Matrix one is a bit subtle).

Also, the 3DS startup icons for the Trilogy and DD are awesome. I hadn't seen them before since I only have the iOS versions.

If not, I'm learning how to make custom 3DS themes. My tests have failed so far, but they are possible, and so if I get it working, I could always make a fan version!
