Simon is really childish when he's angry at someone, including giving the silent treatment, moping around, muttering, looking away demonstratively when the person in question walks by, etc. That the other person knows why Simon is angry is not guaranteed either. :simon:

Yes, bloody yes. My headcanon as well. *sticks upturned nose in the air, walks past, hmph!* And... in a dream I had he gave Bobby the silence!-treatment for a long time. Possibly for twelve days, but I'm not completely sure.

And: he's really, really grouchy when hungry.

I just talked about case 1-3 in the "Replaying Phoenix Wright" thread and it made me come up with a head canon that may be a long shot, but here it is.

The reason Matt Engarde specifically requested Phoenix as his attorney was because Will Powers wouldn't stop talking at Global Studios about this
"Amazing attorney called Mr. Phoenix Wright" and how he "Beat the best prosecutor in the state" and "Won my lost-cause case".

He probably even talked about how he was inviting him and his "Assistant" to the ceremony and there he made a back up plan with Shelly knowing Maya would be there to kidnap and when, in-case things didn't work out as planned.

One problem with this is... If you meet Matt for the first time and ask to be his lawyer, it's very very obvious it was not Matt's plan to get Phoenix as his lawyer. He knew nothing of this plan and pretty much dismissed Phoenix... and only when Matt heard De Killer's name, he knew what was up and started cooperating.

That's true. He didn't nessasarily know what Wright looked like though. But since Phoenix did state his name to Engarde he should have recognized it then. Unless he wasn't really listening, which isn't a very good reason. Especially if you're expecting Shelly to send someone your way. The only logical one I can think of anymore is if he didn't know Wright's name or face, only that Will was inviting him and his assistant and told Shelly that the lawyer who worked for Will would be sitting at Will's table.

I'm surprised Edgequill isn't more popular a pairing than others with Blackquill. The two are practically the weeaboo bros. They probably spend afternoon tea discussing and reminiscing over the Steel Samurai series, like how we all discuss Ace Attorney. And maybe share their brilliant insights and speculations based on their dreams.

Never in front of the officers, though. They don't want to ruin their images for everyone working for them.

If Simon indeed shares the Steel Samurai-interest with Edgeworth, I really hope it's like that. Heck, I can even igore my own headcanon for a while, in which Simon dislikes Steel Samurai, to imagine those conversations.

Just a little evil since I'm sure laxatives would be even worse for someone that drinks those amounts of coffee... Or, well, since he probably has an iron-stomach when it comes to coffee and is thereby used to it you'll be alright. They will work like they do on a person with a normal intake of anything and the conclusion is that you're not (that) evil. Yeah. Spike the coffee of the troll, let's troll the troll. I'll spike it with sugar. Perhaps that counts as evil for real, though. Perhaps I'm the evil one.

Striding away from the wonderful topic of trolling and prophesies.

Well, this is a completely normal human reaction, but I can see it so vividly and... Hm. After DD-5 and that intense and emotional trial a trivial thing such as a nice salty-spicy meal was what they all needed, to chill a bit. (That wasn't the headcanon. First I found it a bit odd, even, that they were all "ah, now this is over, let's have some noodles", but then I realized that it probably was a nice thing to be all casual for a while.) But the relief of it all must have been intense and weird and surreal and almost sickening; I imagine Simon's reaction to everything when he got to be all by himself afterwards being... well, not pretty. Like, every reaction ever, everything from hysterical laughing to loud sobs to hyperventilation to just slumping down and breathing to... Well, everything. The relief must have felt almost scary.

Godot's eyes got ruined by angle-closure glaucoma. Since it's often caused by abnormally high pressure inside the eye, I can imagine the poison doing shit like that. (Well, it's also likely that they got damaged by some nerve-stuff. But yeah.)

Glau...coma.

And his hair turned white due to severe pain.

Hair turning white just like that isn't scientifically possible :scientific: And while it could just be explained away as something they did for dramatic reasons, I'm eager to find an alternative explanation. What I'm thinking is

Quote:
* Godot:
* The meticulous regeneration
* and adjustment of all your
* internal organs is...

This sounds like a complicated affair which probably takes a lot of... medical stuff. Some chemical side effect, perhaps?

Quote:
* Godot:
* Well... Let's just say modern
* medicine allows us all to live
* to a ripe old age.

Or the poison somehow severely "aged" his organs and stuff and it affected his hair as well.

Thing is, I've read plenty of stories about the matter - hair turning white because of stress, pain etc. Like, a girl that hit her head on a certain spot and a streak turned white, a man who was in so much pain it turned white in a very short timespan, people seeing things that traumatized them and... yes, the deal. People being all upset because some sources say that it's impossible, calling these articles unprofessional. And while I've read the same (and sources that say the complete opposite), I don't know if I want to dismiss those people's stories just like that. I wouldn't say it without reading anything about it, Ema. :sillytrucy:

And yeah, I like those theories.

But hair is dead matter. It's not being affected from anything. If it was possible, the whiteness would start from the roots and grow out gradually like regrowth on coloured hair. And there's that thing where hair loss happens over night and the non-gray strands being more sensitive so they fall out first, making the hair seem to have whitened/grayed over night, but in Diego's age I doubt he would've had that much, if any, gray hairs to begin with.

I won't take away these people's experiences from them, but when it comes to scientifically approved headcanons I'm in Ema-mode, and Ema doesn't take anecdotes as evidence :notes:

Fine! :april: Anecdotes aren't proof after all, no. Perhaps I was just too fascinated by the possibility I embraced people's anecdotes too quickly... I took for granted that it was some chemical stuff before dreaming thinking about the pain-stuff, I'll probably, with a heavy heart, stride back to that theory. The aging-stuff was quite creative I think.

Edit: Some word seemingly coming out of nowhere. Word was "even". Whatever. :ron:

Ja, it seems the most plausible thing. I'm gonna go come up with scientifically approved theories about the process of adjusting and regenerating internal organs now, to make up for this. Or on the other hand, no. I won't do that. Looking up different kinds of medical shocks, though (again), which might be bad enough for my mind.

But hair, hmm... This made me think about Simon. Since the theory of hair graduately changing colour because of long-time stress doesn't have a clear scientific answer, I find both yeahs and nopes but much scepticism (even though it probably is the reason his hair looks that way in-game)... So this poliosis-thing... B12 deficiency? Something genetic? Inflammation? Infection? Premature graying that will cause all the hair on his head to turn white at a young age - can this cause such a distinctive patch like that, though? Did he have that streak before and merely coloured it black when he was younger or did it occur recently? Etc. I'll see what I'll roll with. Someday.

Poliosis seems like the most clear-cut answer, then one can always speculate in whether it's, in his case, associated with other diseases as well.

Okkkay.

In any case, from what I've gathered there are only physical explanations to be found. It might've been in his genes and just happened to occur while he was in prison. As for diseases that may cause it, like thyroid problems... well, he doesn't seem to be in the greatest physical condition, but that can easily be explained away with mental stress + hard knock prison life. And infection/inflammation could be if he injured himself while in prison and the prison's medical treatment and/or hygiene standards weren't top notch. Then there's the B12 thing which could tie in with him being a vegetarian/vegan, if the prison wouldn't provide him with B12 supplements, or he simply didn't ask for it. His body's storage of it may easily have run out after seven years without it.

Yes, those are actually pretty much the things, reasons and explanations I've speculated on as well, how and why and such (and the B12-matter definitely goes well with the headcanon of him being a vegetarian, haha). They all seem possible, I think. Certainly a headcanon in the making (why do I feel that I have to decide on one thing?). And I agree; he certainly doesn't seem to be the healthiest of healthy, that sort of life definitely must take its toll on a lot of people. Hmm. I'm finding this business way too interesting.

Hmm, my mind is leaning a bit towards the B12-business, actually I was quite fond of it from the start. Just because it fits so smoothly with me seeing him as a vegetarian. But I haven't decided yet, I wonder if I ever will. I'll probably force myself to pick a theory just because I want a single one.

New headcanon: If we stay on this forum for too long, it starts to affect our health in real life.

...Actually, it may be more than a headcanon. There's some truth to it.
