Update: Official site and clean logo. Site will have info added on 9/3 (Famitsu's release date.)

Holy smokey... Gyakuten Saiban 6 announced for the Nintendo 3DS, teased in the usual weekly Famitsu preview. No details for now, except that the staff will have Motohide (Producer) and Yamazaki (Director). The game will be playable at Tokyo Games Show (September 17-19), where players will be able to try out the new systems and get goodies.
TGS will have:
- playable demo (with stickers for players trying out the game)
- stage events (most likely livestreamed)
- Special Court video

Yep, looks like the DD team is returning.
I expected this to come sooner or later, since this team and Takumi's posse are two different groups, but I did NOT expect that one time the site had accidentally leaked the logo! We all thought it was a fake. The purple 6 is rather intriguing... Maya?

Yep, looks like the DD team is returning.

I'm a bit disappointed that it's Phoenix-centric again. Kinda wish we had those Apollo Justice plot holes patched up.

For folks surprised by how soon this is after DGS: Capcom has stated that they're aiming to use multiple teams to pick up the pace of releases for their main series. So it's very natural they'd have Takumi's team working on DGS games and Yamazaki's on main games - this lets the teams maintain their 2-3 year dev cycle while still giving Capcom a yearly AA game.

In all seriousness, I realize that given this is a mainline release in the series, it has a pretty good shot of making it overseas. Better than DGS at least, as much as I still hope for that one.
I wonder though, aside from making the number six, could the upside-down Magatama-like shape have any significance to what the plot could be about? The shade of purple calls back to the Magatama itself, of course, but I'd guess there's more to it than that.
We do have rather clear spoiler rules about new and upcoming games and info, so avoiding the news sections should more than suffice if you want to remain spoiler free and still stick around the rest of the forums. Then again, there's nothing like a total blackout to be ultra-safe, eh?

In not very related news: I won't be doing the C-R twitter account anymore starting with this game. The C-R account has a multiple personality disorder, but I was usually the one doing the random Takumi translations, among other things.

Now the only thing that could top it off is another game's western release *cough*LocaliseDGS*cough*From what we've seen, the case could be related to Kurain. That necklace in the scans looks a lot like magatama, and the people in the village also believes in spirits... maybe it's spirit channeling, but in another country?
How much would you bet the country's Borginia/Cohdopia? It's a good way to tie in AAI imo.
I'm saddened it's still very Nick-centric... but we've only seen info on one case, I hope other cases will have more Apollo/Athena. And I hope Apollo and Athena tags along at least!
