Seven reached her hand up and rubbed the back of her head. There was some tension in the group, understandable really seeing how everyone was kidnapped. She glanced at Luna and smiled somewhat bashfully, it was kind of impossible to ignore her attire. Assuming she was kidnapped however she almost certainly never had a choice in the matter of what she wore.

"Well, why ever you chose that name, I think it sounds lovely! Luna, like the moon right?" Seven nodded to herself "It is a pleasure to meet you, just a shame it's under such circumstances Ma'am," she said looking back down the corridor at the other cupboards "Not many more to go now."

"Yes, like the moon..." Luna responded coldly. "It's nice to meet you too," she says, although the ice doesn't leave her stare.

It should've been a few hours ago but I figured I'd wait for those who haven't checked in yet.

Slezak has read his role PM at least, Cesar has not. Jumpfight is aware the game has started but is unable to log onto the site (he says it's down for him, so it'll be fine if we start without him when the time comes)

A woman who seems to be about 50 approaches the group, who seemed to be having a discussion at the moment.

"Huh, so I am not the only one in this place?" she said, staring at the others. "Just what is going on here?"

Having heard the way the others had presented themselves, she decided to think of a codename.

"Oh, right, you can call me Triton. You know like the Greek god? His name comes from the word for 'three' which, is the number in this...bracelet, as well as in the door I came through. "

A 24 year old man that can only be described as 'the hottest thing since my mixtape' hops out of the 9 door, dazed, confused, and handsome.
Hey guys. I'm Pigeon.

So I'm number 9, and my symbol was two curved lines connected by a straight line...I didn't really think of this until Leo came up with his codename but do you guys think our symbols are signs of the Zodiac?

Round 1:
Spoiler: Flavor Text
The group of nine began to thoroughly search the area. Luna, Oliver, and Triton formed one group. Yon, Leo, and 6 formed the second, while Seven, Doctor, and Pigeon formed the last.

After a short bit of time, they got back together and reported their findings:
-The first group went back to the closets. All of them looked about the same and none of them seemed like they contained the way out.
-The second group investigated the entrance hall. The numbered doors had scanners beside them, which didn’t seem to be working. The door to the basement was also locked, but the lock had a design that looked like a man holding his arms up, combined with an upside down cross. Yon had deduced that this was actually the symbol to the underworld.
-The final group investigated the second floor. The only thing that was there was a large wooden door, also locked. The lock had the symbol of the sun on it

“Alright, let’s get moving.” Leo said. “Those numbered doors seem like a good start.”

“Are you serious?” Doctor asked. “I doubt any of those are unlocked.”

Leo began to pull on the [1] door. Surprisingly, it began to slide open. He panted. “Heh, just as I thought. 6, give me a hand here.”

Leo and 6 began to open the door. Just as it was about halfway, the door slammed shut. Leo and 6 leapt back, avoiding the near crushing of their fingers.

“What the-” Triton started.

Just as they were all wondering what to do next, a figure materialized in the air in front of them. Nine faces all looked up towards it, unaware of the fate he was about to bestow upon them.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRDZPZXiB04

The figure was a completely androgynous shape. It seemed to have no identity, no gender, no similarity to anything…it didn’t even seem human.

“Welcome to the game.” It spoke in a calm, neutral voice. “I’ll be your GM this evening. It seems that the doors were unlocked. Oh well, mistakes happen. I already remedied that.”

Everybody seemed to confused. How could this just materialize out of nowhere? Luna broke the silence.

“I think I get it.” She said. “You’re an AI, aren’t you?”

“Think what you want. I doubt you’d believe the truth anyway.”

“If you’re not an AI…then what is the truth?” Pigeon asked.

“You can think of me as a person, AI, monster, demon…whatever. You’d be wrong on all those fronts. I had started as nothing but now I have hatched from my cocoon and ascended to a new plane of being. I am what you would call [a god].”

Nobody had anything to say to that. Some scoffed, others just looked away uncomfortably, not knowing what to believe.

“See? Told you that you wouldn’t believe it. Anyway, let’s get to business. You’ve all been brought here for a reason. The one who kidnapped you all and brought you here would like to be known as [Zero] or [Zero Sr.] Doesn’t matter. Anyway, Zero invited me along to help moderate this game.”

“Really? And why couldn’t this Zero fucker moderate this game himself?” Oliver asked.

“Because Zero is one of the players in this game.”

Nobody knew how to react to that…Zero, the one who kidnapped them, was among them? Why? For what purpose?

“The fuck is this…” Oliver continued. “What does he want?!”

“What you all should know about me is that I am all-knowing. I only agreed to help Zero because it seemed as if this would be an interesting story. I know things that Zero doesn’t, making me the perfect moderator of this game. I know all of your identities, your backstories, your secrets…

“I have no bias. I judge nobody. All I care about is the story. Each of you is nothing more than a [character] to me. I know the past and present of each of you, but your future is for you to decide.

“Why are you all here? Zero Sr. selected all of you to be his jury while he/she plays the role of judge and executioner. Hard truths will come to light today. It’s time for them to be put to rest.

“Anyway, let's go over a few things on how to play the game.”

The Narrator went through a lengthy explanation that consisted of the following:
-To get through a numbered door, a team of 3-5 people whose digital root matched the door would need to verify.
-Everyone who verified must go through the door. If any rules are broken here, poison will inject out of the bracelets and into the wearer.
-To decide which team would go through which door, everyone would simply vote on a proposal. The proposal with the most votes at the end of the 3 hours (24 hours in real-time) is the one that everybody goes with.
-The doors have items behind them. However, the [9] door has 3 BP behind it. Every player started the game with 6 BP so it’s important to get what you can.
-Another way to earn BP is by killing another player. Killing another player will give you their BP automatically.
-You cannot view another player’s BP.

“One more thing.” The Narrator added. “Just to make things more simple in the future, I will be referring to every future person with an ambiguous gender as “he.” I will refer to Zero as a he, a general murderer as a he, etc. It means nothing. It’s simply to make things easier on myself.

“Also, everyone will share a quicktopic with me. As you come across some faces or see some items of interest, you might remember some things that might be relevant to why you’re here. I will inform you of what you learn in the quicktopic. Also, if you have any questions about your character (in case you’re feeling as if you’re arriving at an answer before the flow of the game is allowing you to), ask me in the qt and I will answer.

“Oh and that diagram of that area was drawn by me. What can I say? I’m an author, not an illustrator.

“Everyone play nice now! If you have any questions, I’ll be around!”

Spoiler: Small Detail
The order people showed up in this thread isn’t the order they all escaped in their puzzle rooms. After Seven escaped, she waited in the entrance hall. Next to show up was Oliver, followed by Triton, Doctor, Leo and 6, Luna, Pigeon, and finally Yon.

Spoiler: Important Shit
-The door to the basement is locked by a lock with the underworld symbol. Upstairs has a door with a sun lock
-Everybody here was kidnapped to fulfill Zero’s agenda of solving some unknown mystery. Zero is one of the players, according to The Narrator
-The game is being run by The Narrator. He calls himself a God and apparently knows everything about everyone—even more than what Zero knows
-To get through a door, the team’s digital root needs to match the door blahblablah. You guys know how this works
-As you learn important throughout the story, you’ll be updated through a quicktopic if the information pertains to you
-You can ask The Narrator about yourself at any time through the quicktopic
-The numbered doors have items behind them, with the [9] door containing 3 BP
-If you kill another player, you get their BP
-You cannot view another player’s BP

Seven scratched her chin and bit her lip. She was feeling especially out of place right now considering it seemed she was the youngest of the participants in this game, but they'd need to get along for the show anyway. Not that Luna seemed interested in friendship judging by the intensity of her glare.

"So we can't see each other's BP? However if we all start at 6 so long as we maintain good record keeping there should not be a problem!" She said producing a small pen and a notepad from her pockets.

1) Luna - 6
2) Oliver - 6
3) 6
4) Yon - 6
5) Leo - 6
6) 6
7) Seven of Nine - 6
8) Doctor - 6
9) Pigeon - 6

Satisfied she went and placed the piece of paper on the ground.

"Right that's that done, guess I spoke too soon about being strapped to some horrific murder device," she sighed examining the Bracelet. "I suppose I'm not really sure what BP does right now so lets not go murdering anyone to get anymore, I'm sure no one wants any more trouble right?" she added with a nervous laugh seeing the stony expressions around her "Well in any case I'll crunch some numbers! Though if people want to make suggestions about what door to go through that's fine as well."

Bursting out her notepad one more time, she settled against a wall to do some calculations.

Doctor waited for a moment, his face showing signs of complete and utter disbelief. Finally, he spoke.
"... Well, then...

[1] - Luna
[2] - Oliver
[3] - Triton
[4] - Yon
[5] - Leo
[6] - ?
[7] - Seven (of Nine)
[8] - Doctor
[9] - Pigeon

We're still missing one, er, character, but... One of these people is the person who brought us here..." He didn't look at anyone else's face as he let his words ring out. Doctor shook his head and listened to Seven. "Right... I am open to suggestions, as I have no preference myself."

GM Note: Everybody be sure to check your quicktopics for updates. I just sent something new to everyone

Edit: Another note. When I write things in the flavor text like "X said this", "Y responded this", they're pretty arbitrary. Don't be looking at that kind of stuff for clues

Luna looked around at the people in the room. Their kidnapper—Zero—was among them? But why? Why... any of this?! And most of all, why her?

Luna shook her head, as if to shake these thoughts out of her mind, and concentrated on the problem in front of her. The Narrator—whatever he was—didn't tell them what BP was for. It was obviously important, if people could kill (Luna shuddered when The Narrator spoke that word) over it. But it seemed they would have to wait to find out more about it.

There were five doors they could go through, but two were locked. It seemed they had no choice but to go through the numbered doors. As much as Luna didn't want to be in this place and spend time with these people (especially if their kidnapper was among them), sitting around doing nothing would accomplish just that.

After running some numbers in her head she announced, "The only way we can all go through a door is if we go through doors [1] and [8]." Luna walked over to the [1] door, and drew her nightgown around her a little. "I'd like to go through the [1] door, if nobody minds."

"Hold on a tic there Luna!" Seven spoke up, her pencil furiously scraping across her notepad.

"I have a few alternatives so we can get through each door in the works," she sighed with relief once she had finished. Seven ripped out the piece of paper with a flourish. On it was a series of failed combinations each scratched out and scribbled over before leaving a few valid solutions

Option A:

8+1+9 = 9
4+7+6 = 17 = 8
2+3+5 = 10 = 1

Option B:
7+2+9 = 9
8+4+5 = 8
1+3+6 = 10 = 1

"I think these should both work...assuming everything I know about digital roots isn't a lie" she laughed slightly nervously.
"Of course that's not to say there's nothing wrong with going through only two doors, no no no, I just...well figured we'd want as broad a picture as possible about what's going on here," she said almost apologetically with a shrug.

Vote: Option A
But with a little twist. I don't think anyone should go through door 9. It would simply make things unfair as far as BP is concerned, also, I don't trust it...

"I don't know. I don't really know." Yon said, unable to make of what the mysterious GM have said.

Yon walked around the room, unsure of what to do next. The sound of his geta shoes clanking on the floor can be heard.

When several people made a fuss about what doors to uses, Yon feels he need to step in and voice his opinion on the matter.

"I call a bluff on Door [9] having 3 BPs! Doesn't anyone think this is too good to be true?" Yon asked, his voice loud enough for everyone to hear him. "If I'm wrong about this, then prove me wrong."

Luna turned to Pigeon. "Even if you don't want anyone to go through door [9], we shouldn't leave three people behind." Luna didn't bother to mention that in Option A, one of the people that would be left behind would be Pigeon himself.

"We don't even know what BP is used for," Luna said to Yon. "Who knows if it's too good to be true, or completely pointless.

"That being said, I don't think we should let someone grab those 3 BP up before we know what it's for, and what's going on. We should go through doors [1] and [8]... although we shouldn't leave anyone behind."

Seven looked at both of them somewhat baffled, it seemed that people were starting to crack up a little bit early on. Then again maybe they were just of a nervous disposition.

"Well I'm not sure we need to be so worried about anything really, after all we've not even been told what we use BP for yet so who is to say it's an advantage?" she pointed out as she stood up and stretched, having been crouched for a good long time in thought.

"It could be like golf scores where you want to have less for all we know! In any case I'm saying we shouldn't jump to conclusions about it and should probably still explore as much as we can." she said light-heartedly.

((OOC: Last to speak once again? I suppose it's just like me. Anyway...))

A somewhat-unkempt man in his thirties had been leaning against one of the walls, not saying a word. It wasn't that he was shy, but rather was racking his brain for a suitable code name. He had an epiphany at long last. He stepped forward.
"Saturn! The sixth furthest planet from the sun. You all may call me by this name," he declared with a little louder tone than he'd planned.
"Oh, sorry for my outburst there. It's... I was just working out a fitting nickname for my bracelet number," Saturn explained, flexing his arm to show said bracelet, a bright [6] adorning its face.
"I also must apologize for waiting so long to introduce myself," Saturn stated, "But I believe now every one of us is accounted for."
With that out of the way, the players could now break off into groups and explore this building.

-- After The Narrator's introduction --

"I will admit I also have 6 'BP', whatever that may mean," Saturn remarked, "But I have a hunch it's not as easy as getting to 9. If 9 is all that's needed, this game would be over fast."
Saturn pondered the situation for a moment, writing with fervor in his own notebook.

((Argh, just let me post my introduction, darnit! You guys are too quick for me.))
Thank you for reading. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Revised Option A:

4+7+6+9 = 8
2+3+5+8+1 = 1

Revised Option B:

8+4+5+9 = 8
1+3+6+7+2 = 1

Alright so you make a good point Luna, here are these new options that avoid the 9 door without leaving anyone behind
I VOTE: REVISED OPTION A
There might be a key or something behind 9 though, and that is what concerns me

"Hmph. I also vote Revised Option A," Luna says, and then leans against the wall next to door [1] and stares at the floor.

Her instinct was to not go through door [9], but without any other information, there was no way to know if that was the right choice. Luna had made her vote, and now things would simply fall as they may.

Doctor listened to everyone's arguments, then slowly spoke. "Our last member has arrived...

[1] - Luna
[2] - Oliver
[3] - Triton
[4] - Yon
[5] - Leo
[6] - Saturn
[7] - Seven (of Nine)
[8] - Doctor
[9] - Pigeon

Anyway, I'm torn. I don't think we should leave an area unexplored, but a BP advantage could be beneficial... Or it could make things worse for the one who gets it. Remember the GM's words..."

Quote:
Another way to earn BP is by killing another player. Killing another player will give you their BP automatically.

"Also, I would like to ask... It was said there is three BP behind door [9], but at least three people will have to enter it. Do you all think that means that the BP will be split amongst them? I would be ok with multiple people only having a one point advantage... With that in mind.."

"I vote for Option A."

Seven sighed and looked at her feet fiddling with her pencil.

"Is it really that bad an idea? I mean...we don't know the purpose of BP so it's essentially like having a whole lot of nothing right now. I just feel we'd be passing up a good bit of information on this place if we don't examine as much as possible at every opportunity," she said sullenly.

Leo, who was looking thoughtfully at the numbered doors during the discussion, speaks up.

It's a game, Seven. BP means something. Numerical disadvantages will seed distrust between those with more and those with less. Travelling in larger groups means there are less moments where we could be alone in an environment with a possible madman.

It's a killing game. Zero wants us to have incentive to kill one another. That's what bp is.

Seeing the looks of the others, he grimaces.

Ah, sorry. I don't want to stress anybody out. I'm sure we'll be able to get through this, but these decisions are important and bad decisions will snowball into worse ones.

Anyway I Vote: Revised Option A.

Seven paused for a moment contemplating what to do next.

"Its a fair point, we don't really know what BP is but all the same...perhaps we can just get an answer to this problem here and now?" She said perking up as the idea came to her

Turning to where the hologram had manifested before she said, "Dear Narrator could you kindly tell us the purpose and use of BP in this game? It doesn't make much of an incentive if we don't know how it works or what it does"

The Narrator manifested in front of them once again

"You'll find out once you enter the doors. Upupupu"

The Narrator smiled and continued.

"I do admire the courage of some of you--I mean, whenever I try to solve a mystery, I want all the clues I can get. Yet you guys are willing to throw them away. Quite admirable if I do say so myself."

Luna finally took her eyes off the floor, and faced the... thing in the middle of the room.

"We'll come back here later, won't we? If we never come back, we'll never get a chance to go through the Sun door or the Underworld door. Won't we be able to open the [9] door then? ...Or will the door get deactivated or something?"

Yon stood there, baffled by what was said. He was torn between the options and the revised options, and he couldn't decided which one to go with.

That is, until he heard Leo speaks up.

"R-right! It would be safer if we sticks with the revised options." Yon spoken up, very certain of what option he can go with.

He heard Seven asks the Narrator a question about the BPs. Once the Narrator manifested and answered her question, as well as several other people's questions. He disregarded Luna's question, as he feels she isn't a idiot.

Yon stared at the people, save for Luna, who asked the Narrator their questions, looking really annoyed by this. He wanted to tell them that they're all idiots, but he knew better than this. He kept his mouth shut.

"Moving on...." Yon said, returning back to his normal self, "Anyway, regarding what Leo said... I agree with him because we don't want to get anyone killed. So, I vote Revised Option A, just to be on the safe side."

"Wonderful..." Doctor sighed. "Well, that's that then. Someone needs to go through the [9] door... I don't particularly want the points because I don't want to become a target. However, I will agree to everyone else's decisions on who gets the chance by going through the door." Doctor slowly realized that this wasn't the way things were going. "... wait a minute. We're all idiots. We can have people go through the [9] door without gaining an advantage."

Certain doors are deactivated after the phase you're intended to go through them

Seven gave the hologram a "really?" look upon hearing it's reply.

"Well I guess you don't need to tell us anything more until it's necessary, thanks for answering at least," she said forcing a smile trying to remain positive before turning to the others.

"Well let's be frank, I'm sure you must have seen it in the papers about that similar game a while ago. The Nonary game, a bunch of bodies found in the middle of desert, bracelets, weird numbered doors, it's all so much like that from back then!" she said almost excitedly "Now if I remember the reports correctly, in those games the participants needed 9 BP to escape. If you are worried that it is so similar to that then why not consider this? Our values seem too high for that to be the case don't they? Starting us with 6 would mean this Zero fellow would be giving people the chance to escape after only 1 door. It seems like it would be over too quickly if it was that easy, so I mean...I don't think we need to fear people having 9 BP that much, we just need to be careful, that's all!" she said brightly raising a small finger beside her face.

"Of course....again we don't know what BP is worth for sure and this is all just a hunch..." she said somewhat dejectedly before shaking her head and continuing with renewed determination "But...c'mon guys it's silly to not explore every option here. What if it's something really important? I remember hearing about that other serial killer, the one who blew up that facility with a bomb a while back. They found traces of similar bracelets in that one and numbered doors! What if something equally horrible could happen here but we didn't have the information to stop it?"

Seven shrugged "Not much, it was just in the papers, some guy blew up a facility and the remains had a lot in common with this, bracelets...dented scarred doors with numbers painted on them, was a messy scene. It's best we don't end up like that right?" she said trying her best to give a reassuring smile. "So it's important we don't pass up a chance to find out what's going on here."

It seemed there was a definite possibility that this would be their only chance to go through the [9] door. Would there really be something helpful behind that door? Or would it just be that BP, which could very well sew distrust among them and make some of them targets?

Luna didn't know; she continued to stare at the floor in silence.

Doctor took a deep breath. "... What if you have to do something to get the BP behind door [9]? I mean, if more than three people go through that door, then there is no way to split the BP evenly. That leads me to believe that only one person can get it, so..." He shrugged. "Whatever you have to do to get it. just don't do that. No one gets the extra BP, problem solved."

Oliver stopped looking at his bracelet, "I don't really care what option we do, so I guess I vote Revised Option A" he scratched the back of his head.
I Vote: Revised Option A

Why can't it be split equally? Can't each person get 1 bp? And who says it can even be declined? And what if, if you don't play the game, you die?
