I honestly think it will. Digital releases never really bother me, because I've got the newest game of my favourite series and I can play it, I'm not concerned about putting the game case on my shelf for display. But I know there are people who are truly dedicated to collecting the physical copies and showing their friends they've got every game in the series.
I really think that most western Ace Attorney releases will be digital only. But let's just admit it, Ace Attorney is a quite popular Capcom game, but it's not the most popular. So that unfortunately means Acer Attorney doesn't get the profit it deserves.
So the team has to make use of their limited cash wisely, and maybe they simply don't have the money to put physical copies into production, and spending their money on improving the actual game.
But that's just my opinion, I'm not good at all this marketing stuff, so I'm just basing my opinion on what I've seen other people say (eg: my friends over on tumblr) But no matter what people say, I think that Ace Attorney will not have physical western releases, not in a long while, anyway.
