Have a cool birthday, GfM. And hang in there, SC.

Anyway, Phoenix didn't know how to go on with the trial, but Maya gave him a piece of advice: every criminal has some sort of driving force, find that and start talking about it with tvem, and you'll eventually find an opening to prove their guilt/innocence, rather than stumbling about trying to do so right away. And if the driving force happens to be a want for attention: give them your undivided attention while they're on the stand and the rest will sort itself out from there.

Good advice, Maya. If it worked for Luke Atmey, it should work for others, right?

But would Nick be the one defending him or suing him? I'm not sure where he stands in the White Room series...

Oh, Greg. What have we done?

So I had two separate dreams. One was largely a dream about going to class and studying up programming and such... when all of a sudden Maya pops in and says "hi" and then the entire code was altered so that I ended up writing up a mini AA game. She was then joined by Ema and they distracted me from the rest of class. Phoenix was there but he didn't stop them...

In the other, I was attending a vg convention here in the states, waiting on some friends to show. It seems there was a photo shoot of DGS characters, w/ Susato, Ryunosuke, and Sherlock showing first, being featured as one of the opening festivities. I really wanted to attend, but my friends weren't here yet. And their show was being held in a room that required paid tickets, so I had to run around to try to find the ticket booth. I eventually found it, but as I waited, I realized I was supposed to bring my cosplay of Nick's blue suit with me, but I wasn't sure if I brought it. I had to leave the lines to find a changing room. There, I met with another woman who I almost mistook her shoes for mine since they reminded me of a different set of shoes I had. Not sure why I was feeling so out of it, but I only felt more flustered. She was nice and forgave me, though. We had a casual chat and exchanged names, but then we had to be on our ways.

And then I come out of there, realizing I still didn't have the suit on. I didn't leave it in the changing room, so... I guess I didn't bring it. But the photo shoot was coming up soon and I needed to get my ticket. So back to the lines I went. There, I met with someone else (a chubby girl with glasses) there. She was quite excited to be there and was very talkative. I wasn't as much in the mood to talk, but she kept going on about what plans she had to me, as if I was someone she knew. I didn't mind it at first and even listened and replied as usual, but then she started to get on my nerves. She then pointed out that I had two "bumps" on my head, even though I wasn't wearing anything and my head was fine. But then I suddenly got this headache and realized there were bumps on there. I figured I must have run into some sort of accident, but got the impression one of them was self-inflicted? While she was genuinely concerned, I didn't want to talk about it. She wouldn't take that as an answer, though, and kept asking. Frustrated, I left the lines and with little else to do there, I decided it was time to leave.

But then that girl followed me and called to me. I then ran off and lost her in the crowd. Eventually, I made it back to the bus stop and took a ride home. What a disappointing visit.

And then I think I lost track of my dreams from there. I don't remember what other dreams I may have had.

They do that to criminals in the Netherlands, at least according to an old AA-dream of mine. Although Phantom doesit for fun and Edgeworth to travel.

I had some dream that was AA-unrelated but I accidentally called someone Athena at one point.

Then I had a dreamlet that revolved around Klavier wearing nothing but a pair of shiny, silver-coloured boxers. It was stated that he "washed" them at "new-year's-eve-o' clock", meaning that on the countdown to 12 on December 31 he was standing ready with a bottle of champagne between his legs (still only wearing the boxers), and at twelve he opened it up so that the champagne spritzed and foamed right up his crotch. Sounds cold. I wonder how plastered he was when he got the idea. Although I guess he should be happy he managed to hold on to the cork, getting a champagne cork shot at his nuts would be a pretty nasty way to start the new year.

Perhaps you ran into some travelling AA-characters.

Probably not, since the answer to "is it/that just me?" mostly is "no". But as for myself I do imagine quite a few of them as drinkers.

I guess it would be, statistically speaking, pretty unusual for none of them to be, at least if "drinkers" mean someone who drinks alcohol from time to time like on parties.

There is official art of the crew getting drunk at holiday parties. I wouldn't be surprised if there was alcohol in every one of them somehow... except when Hobonick drinks.

Let's see... I was a child at a beach house by my lonesome, going around exploring where I was and how I got there. At some point, as I wished I could get some company, Phoenix - oh, excuse me - Dad showed up carrying a bucket of sea shells. He showed me some brilliantly colorful shells and we ended up playing a game that I think he came up with. I don't remember all the rules, but the point was to stack them as high as we could without it tipping over. After the last piece was placed, someone had to flip the entire stack and send shells flying everywhere. I don't think it was the win condition to send them as far as we could, but we tried it anyway.

(Not sure if I was Trucy or myself, but it's sweet all the same.)

There's something about AA-characters and merpeople in the collective subconsciousness...

---

Knew I dreamed something about... hm... Retinz. When I woke up I didn't remember, so I closed my eyes to focus and see if I could recall anything. "Geez, so this is close your eyes and think of Roger Retinz?", my almost sleeping self thought. Well, he had made a show where fir twigs played a part. He talked to someone who dealed with a certain kind of fir twigs: "there's two kinds of people", the fir twig-guy said. These first kind were people that smoke the fir twigs like weed, apparently there was a huge business going on where people went to a country nearby, collected it, got it to their country and sold it. I think this guy had done some shady business before. The second kind of people were sweet, poor families who wanted some nice-scenting fir twigs in vases for Christmas. So apparently you're either a stoner or a kind family member who happens to be poor. Roger filmed this and a goal was to collect fir twigs and give to poor families for Christmas so the stoners didn't smoke all of it. The families got very happy and I thought "yeah, right, of course poor children find themselves with Roger Retinz for Christmas". One family offered him to have dinner with them as a thank you, they treated him to leek. (I'm pretty dang certain I was bleeping Roger at that point since I very vividly remember chewing on leek!)

Something about Ahlbi. I also woke up with Cheerful People stuck in my head, but I'm not sure if that had to do with him or anything special.

Sounds like the premise for a children's movie.

Haha, it kinda does. Now I just imagine it as some kind of movie that parents make their children watch around Christmas because they watched that movie themselves as children and it wakes up so much nostalgia and the children just have to wach it, because they loved it so much themselves, so their kids will do as well, right?

Quite so. I even think Roger/I accepted the kind offer because it was kind and sweet and not just to win "I'm a good person"-points. Not sure if parts of the dinner got filmed or not.

But is its premise as good as Olover Twist's? Probably, because I don't think Retinz is a rapist like Inga. (roger rapist....hmm)

I'm not sure how I saw that as "fire twigs"

I'd say that's one of the more reasonable misreadings that has occurred in this thread.

Nice and warm for a Christmas present, though.

... and I read that as "Nick and warm". But hey, the fire thing still stands with that one.

The fire thing stands with both of them, ha. Nick would make a warm Christmas present, but I dunno if he wants to be shut up in a box.

Retinz may make fire from nowhere, but Phoenix is a fire.

He'd be a heavy blanket. Actually, that sounds pretty comfortable. Being a fire is badass. Maybe that's what happened when he fell from Dusky bridge. He didn't die, he simply got put out.

Damnit, Roger. Yeah, makes sense, and after all, the stoners need some fire to smoke it.

Now selling: pre-smoked twigs for your smoking pleasure! Then there would be three kinds of people...

GfM: I don't know about comfortable. He is a really heavy blanket.
Yes, of course. He was the reason the bridge snapped, after all.

I don't know about "really heavy". I've had heavier people than that for blankets.

Aaaah snap. Don't burst into flames while standing on a bridge.

Yes! More diversity!

I like to smoke a twig
Two at the very most
After three I'm under the table
After four I'm under my host

...wearing him as a blanket, of course.

No, he'll just fall on them. Ba-donk.

I actually started to feel very warm right now.

Pfft! Yeah, come on. He's got the perfect blanket-weight.

Ah, I can't find it now but that made me think of that comic where Phoenix is annoyed that Drunkworth's game is getting recognition for something as stupid and simple as walking, and decides to go over to him, only to fall forwards and over himself.

But I think he does. He looks heavy, but not heavy enough to be bone-crushing.

Hahaha! Dangit. (But to be fair, I'm pretty impressed by the fact that Drunkworth can walk, so there's that.)

Yeah, he does! I think Edgeworth looks rather blanket-worthy too. Annoyingly enough my mind is still half-focused on Retinz, and I just imagine being under him, and that feels a bit wrong. I mean, I feel really attached to the dreams, but that doesn't mean I want to have him as a blanket.

And when he can't walk anymore, he'll pass out be a blanket on someone.
